Stubb’s Jalapeño & Honey Legendary Bar-B-Q Sauce is a celebration of authentic Texas barbecue flavor and a nod to our namesake C.B. Stubblefield. Made just right with bold heat from jalapeños and natural sweetness from organic honey, it’s a tangy, thick sauce that’s made for brushing on ribs, chicken, wings, steak, pork and vegetables. When Stubb moved to Austin in 1986, he was urged by friends and patrons to sell his signature sauce. So, using old whiskey bottles, Stubb began hand-bottling his sauce for sale, corking each makeshift container with a jalapeño. While our bottling methods have changed, this sauce embraces its roots by combining the signature tangy tomato and vinegar base with jalapeño, amber honey, garlic and black pepper.

Title: This BBQ Sauce has a great bite
Review: I first bought Stubb’s Jalapeño & Honey BBQ Sauce at Safeway and loved it. Safeway for some reason quit carrying this particular flavor. I was sure glad to see Amazon carried it and I stocked up. The flavor is terrific (pretty hot) but amazingly good when the two flavors are meshed together. It is good on almost everything you put a sauce on.including French fries. You won’t be disappointed. The only time I might be disappointed is if Stubb’s stop making it.

Title: Better than I hoped for!
Review: An excellent sweet red barbecue sauce with a nice little kick -- just a smidge on the spicy side, although most folks with a taste for spicy foods probably would consider it 'mild.' As for my wife and I, it's not too sweet, not too mild and not too hot; it's just right... Why, it's the Cinderella of BBQ sauces! 🙂 Even better, it's affordable, especially compared to most other 'high-end' BBQ sauces out there, and it's usually available at just about any grocery chain store. It's always available online. For the money, it's hard to beat.If it weren't for what my wife and I consider the absolute greatest barbeque sauce, which is Grandma Foster's Sweet and Spicy, this easily could become our go-to BBQ sauce and we're both glad we tried it. However, since both products are so good, with a nice balance of sweet and heat, we didn't want to chance letting either sit around unused until it went bad. So, during our last Corky's pulled chicken BBQ sandwich pig-out, as we were nearing the end of a bottle of our favorite Grandma Foster's Sweet and Spicy, we decided to try mixing the two together (at about 3 parts Granny to 1 part Stubbs) and hey, it worked! We ended up with a sauce my wife and I considered better than either alone. 🙂 Great! That'll take care of the remaining Stubbs we bought to try out, but we won't make a habit of buying both just to mix them together. So... Grandma Foster's remained our very favorite, but there's nothing at all wrong with this sauce. Even though we consider this a close second place to our favorite, we'd still be comfortable with recommending it for fans of sweet and spicy (it's got a kick!) BBQ sauces, particularly if cost is a primary consideration in making a purchase. It's good stuff!

Title: Our new favorite stubbs flavor
Review: I dont know what took us so long to try this flavor, but the jalapeno honey bbq is our new favorite by far! There is definitely a spicy kick to it, but it is not overpowering and goes well with the honey bbq flavors. We have used this for a marinade on steak and chicken, and it is fantastic on both. This packs a lot of flavor as a marinade or as a side of bbq sauce. If you like a bit of spice definitely give this a shot.

Review: Stubbs always strikes a good balance of sweet and vinegar. This one is no different, though the Jalepeno comes through mostly as heat. I end up cutting it in halfbl with other sauces because some folks find it too spicy hot.

Review: I love Stubbs and I’m so glad I tried this! It has the perfect amount of jalapeño flavor and spice.The jalapeño flavor is there, but not overwhelming; just underneath that is a nice, smoky barbecue flavor.I’m above-average for spice tolerance and I *love* the spice level of this sauce. There’s a nice burn throughout, but doesn’t build to the point of being too hot to eat.I love it and will absolutely be ordering again! 😁
