The set depicts a small sidewalk sandwich kiosk, complete with an elevated road/road section, and a delivery man with bike and helmet. The two included minifigures have a similar theme, but in a way that could serve as a customer on the small set stage, or both could be busy at work preparing and bringing sandwiches to customers elsewhere in LEGO CITY.
40578 Sandwich Shop is a small, cute construction without being too big a challenge, but interesting enough not to simplify too much. In fact, it relates so well to the wider LEGO CITY states that it hardly feels like a gift with purchase at all.
