Title: Great fun/scares.
Review: It's like stepping back in time to the 80s and 90s when I first read these stories. No longer scary to me but does the trick to the next generation. So glad the original pictures are back-they're true art.

Title: This is the one! The complete set of original author and illustrator!
Review: I told these stories to my kids around the campfire starting in the 80’s and they loved these stories. My parents took me, I took my kids, and now It's my grown kids and their kids! This year they really wanted THESE stories around the fire. This year they were determined to have THESE stories. There’s nothing better than the kids snuggled up with you after these “bedtime stories”. They’re grown all too soon and the memories are priceless. I did download the audible version on the app, but there are no titles on the chapters. I’d have to listen to the whole audiobook to tell the favorites, and I chose FUN WITH THE FAM rather than hide away listening alone all day so it wasn’t spoiled for that nights fire. Let’s face it. Nothing beats a real book. Having the original to choose what to tell means everything! There is a new version using a different illustrator. The reviews weren’t great. I’d ordered this set hoping to get it in time for our 4th of July camp since I didn’t order in time for our June camp. There was never any shortage of stories, but THIS is the one they want to hear. They’d wanted these stories last year, but I didn’t know if the campground would even be open. I just ordered too late. I wanted to make SURE I got the right edition...and not only is this it, it’s the complete set! I’m thrilled, and so are my kids! These stories are just scary enough to make them exciting without having the kids afraid to ever go camping again. Of course I embellish a bit to make the setting similar to where we are camped and tweak the characters a bit, include respect for the plants and animals whose homes we are visiting and toss in a bit of common sense and safety. These stories are great, they have the kids on the edge of their seats! My son know when to slip away into the woods and snap a twig, or pop out a glow stick to move slowly at just the right time. (Except for the time where coming face to face with a skunk turned that scary moment around on him 😂) I guess I’ll just have to plan another camp this month! In these times getting away from the news, and all the doom and gloom, reminded just how precious life really is, and seeing faces illuminated by a campfire instead of a cell phone really is priceless. This is the set you want, even if you’re only camping in the backyard. I bought the original from a scholastic book order, so they aren’t meant for adults, they’re for kids, but how you tweak them when you tell them...that’s up to you!

Title: Right in the childhood
Review: These books inspired a life long love of horror when I was a kid, and I was so excited for this. I’m a bit of a hardcover snob, and I love having all of the books in one hardcover edition. The illustrations are just as creepy, and I’ll be busting it out for spooky season for sure

Title: Found an antique treasure from childhood
Review: I never actually read these stories growing up. However, when I watched a documentary on Prime, it showed there were 3 books. I went to Amazon to see if I could find any of them. To my surprise they had all 3 in one hardback edition. I've been reading a few stories at a time, and just finished the first section/book and getting ready to start the second. Really enjoying this.

Review: The stories in the books are very dumb. None of them last more than 2 or 3 pages and are not scary at all. This book only suits small kids and trust me they might not get scared also. I returned the books the day I recieved. The books are too stupid to read. Don't buy them. The movie which was made inspired by these books is good. You can watch it as the substitute.
