A young woman must navigate the dangers of a strange new world filled with magic and mystery in this imaginative and highly detailed LitRPG adventure.
When Alice Verianna went to sleep, she was just another teen from the Denver suburbs. She definitely didn't expect to be transported to a magical alternate dimension, inhabited by monsters and presided over by a mysterious System. Here, people resemble RPG characters and everyone has access to their own status screens.
Grappling with the mechanics of the elusive System isn't the only challenge Alice faces. It seems an underground organization known as the Society of Starry Eyes has taken a particular interest in other dimensions. If they find out about Alice, they will stop at nothing to hunt her down and forcibly extract from her the secrets of her world.
Now, in addition to pursuing her own scientific endeavors, as well as learning to harness the magic that surrounds her, Alice must determine the Society's ultimate intention—and how she ended up here in first place. Before it's too late . . .
The first volume of the hit LitRPG adventure series—with almost two million views on Royal Road—now available on Kindle, Kindle Unlimited, and Audible!

Title: Incredible
Review: For fans of LitRPG this is perfect... well-written, with an intricate and straightforward story of a highly intelligent young girl from our world thrust into the unknown, with all her frailties and strengths on full display, extremely well-crafted magic system, and exquisite world-building... she's going to break the System for sure lol can't wait to see what comes next. Highly recommended!!!â¤ï¸ðð¾ðð¾ðð¾

Title: If you are a D&D stats nerd, this is the book for YOU!
Review: I personally am not a D&D stats nerd, so there were times that I had to slog through the technicalities and mathematics and such. But you know what? That's okay! Because the rest of the book is amazingly REAL! Totally different from the run of the norm isekai stories, with some very introspective moments. For me, I made up a challenge that whenever Alice got to choose her stats and perks and whatnot, I would stop and think about what I would have chosen. Then see what, and best of all why, Alice made her decisions. Most times I lost, and given her reasoning, it was rightly so. (This presumes the point that I would have survived the first week, let alone the first winter by myself as she had! I'd have died during the broken mana baptism! LOL)But yeah, cool book. Looking forward to reading the next one and seeing where the story leads. Kinda want her to find a cheat code and go all Super Saiyan on some monsters, though. Shortcut to Immortality, baby!

Title: Beautiful Story
Review: Love the step by step focus from Hypothesis to Conclusion. And I say I have concluded that I'll be completely invested in this series.Characters swears less then 10 times which is a plus. Though I would prefer none at all.

Title: More "Sciency" Than I Expected!
Review: I went back and forth on a 4 or 5 for this book. Ultimately I think some of the issues, in my eyes, brought it down a star. The start of this book is somewhat rough. The first 25% of the book is spent in a setting that just doesn't offer up a whole lot, or feel like its living up to the summary. Luckily afterwards, the setting changes and the book quickly shifts gears into something much more in line with the summary. After getting past that first quarter, I found it harder to put the book down and was enjoying my self a lot more. The book/series' biggest strength is its world building, particularly around the System/magic. It definitely feels like the author has put a decent amount of though into what this all is. There is definitely a enough laid out that I found my self making my own guesses as what it all was/meant, which I think is a sign that something is at least decent.I also think the author leaned into the "science" and "scientist" aspect in a way that kind of exceeded my expectations from when I read the summary. So bonus points there! Most of the characters are okay but this book has definitely been zero-ed in on the MC, which is fine. I did appreciate that the MC's emotional state in a few instances was given some page time instead of just being covered circumspect with a few sentences. The side cast is currently very small but the one character that is there, I think could grow to be interesting but I'll have to wait and see.I had one major issue throughout the book though that kind of dragged down the rating by 1 star -- it felt like sentences and phrases repeated a lot. You might get into a section in the story where the MC is thinking about something, lets say for example (fyi, this content is made up), "She closed the book down, realizing for the first time, that this world's magic was far more complicated than she realized. It was going to be a challenge to make heads or tails of it." You would read that and then fast-forward a page or two as the MC worked through the topic, and then you might see a line like "She nodded to herself. The magic here was definitely more complicated and would require amble research to make heads or tails of it."Both lines fit within the flow of the story/text, but I kept running into lines like this every now and then that I had to stop and question if I accidentally turned back a page on my Kindle. They always occur within the same "scene" as well, so I feel like there is room here for some of the writing to maybe be condensed a bit better. There was only one instance in the sum odd 500 pages where my "misspelling and grammar" brain got triggered. For the author's sake, that was the scene involving a "rock and some wire" -- you can find it by CTRL+F-ing and looking for the word "wore" (should be "wire"). There was a sentence 1-2 after that typo that also didn't make sense/flow well until I read a bit afterwards and figured it out. Beyond that, nothing tripped me up as far as I can recall.Overall, I had fun time reading this and I'm interested enough in the world that is here that I'll definitely be checking out book 2.

Title: As an avid Kindle Unlimited user, skip this one
Review: 2.5/5Needs heavy professional editing. Author uses 100 words for what should be said with 10. Information is frequently repeated, rephrased, then repeated again. But more than anything, there is SO MUCH unnecessary exposition. Makes for reading this novel a slog. All characters have nearly the same personality. Any differences between characters or emotion is done through exposition instead of dialogue or actions.Author gives no trust to the reader and seems to feel as if every iota of information, no matter the ease of understanding, needs to be spoon fed.The story is entirely flat. Little action. No discord. No opposition. Zero growth. Itâs a series of âthis happens, then this happens, then this happens, etc.â until the story simply ends.Bonus points for a unique story, though. But it needs to be said that adding and adding fluff words always distracts and detracts from a story.

Review: Alice is a very believable and interesting character thrust into a bewildering new reality with zero references or explanations. And her experiences conflict with her world view. Experiencing life with its patterns foreign to her, her perceptions often incorrect, but her drive to understand keeps her trying to understand, and to adapt on her own terms. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this.

Review: The MC is focused on the goal to solve the mysteries about mana and the system using the scientific method from our universe. The story is well written and a little different from the usual. A little more action could improve the story.

Title:
Review: This book is both a litRPG as well as an isekai novel, and posits some common sense critiques of those genres. The protagonist, a scientifically inclined 15-year old, finds herself stranded in a fantasy world with game elements, and proceeds to analyze her situation in order to learn and understand. She is not, nor will she ever be a fighter, and in contrast to so many protagonists in the genre, she has fears and anxieties about her situation- but also frustrations. Her situation contradicts several presumptions she had ob the nature of reality, and while there are hints about the actual nature and purpose of the mechanics of her new world, she is still forced to revisit and correct her standing models and hypothesis- as any good scientist would. On the meta level, the author, and by extension the protagonist, has an actual understanding of scientific principles, and scientific rigor. This is very different from other protagonists in the genre, who either have largely unexplained know-how concerning modern innovations, or are so ridiculously intelligent that they risk breaking immersion. Perhaps the protagonist here is a bit too much for a supposed 15-year old, albeit I consider it still realistic, and the reason she is a child rather than a college student or working adult may be to emphasise her vulnerability in her new environment. All in all I can only recommend this book, for fans and critics of the genre alike.
