“The do-it-all mountain shoe I’ve always wished for. It’s tough, surprisingly lightweight, and the grip is insane!” – Matt G. THE WORLD’S LIGHTEST TECHNICAL HIKING BOOT : Ever have that feeling at the end of a hike where you can’t wait to kick off your heavy, stiff boots? You’ll never feel that again when you wear the Scrambler Mid, perhaps the lightest and most comfortable technical hiking boot ever made! Scramble up trails like a mountain goat in this shoe! At just 11.3 oz. per shoe (M9), a pair of the Scrambler Mid weighs less than just one single boot from most other companies. LIKE WEARING MOUNTAIN BIKE TIRES ON YOUR FEET : Scrambler Mid is a collaboration with Michelin, the car and bike tire company. The thin Michelin Fiber Lite sole, you’d find an embedded textile layer, giving the sole unparalleled strength, flexibility and lightness. Plus, with mud-shedding lugs inspired by Michelin’s high-performance mountain bike tires, you feel the confidence that comes with incredible grip. EXTRA PROTECTION WITH AN “ILLUSION” You may look at the Scrambler Mid and think it has a thick sole and that Xero Shoes has strayed from our mission.Far from it. Above the Fiber Lite is a thin layer of our TrailFoam, which gives you extra comfort and protection when you’re on a tough trail.Normally we hide this layer in our hiking products’ soles. But the Scrambler Mid wraps both sole layers up around the upper, giving an illusion of thickness. This eye-catching look inspires conversations with other hikers that start with, “Where do I get those? TOUGH FROM TOE TO HEEL : Enjoy the protection you get with the Scrambler Mid’s abrasion-resistant, vegan-friendly, breathable upper, and welded sidewalls and two-layer toe cap.And when the elements give you an extra challenge, attach your favorite gaiter to the included hook and tackle the next peak. A “RUNNING BOOT” With this incredible combination of lightness, flexibility, grip, protection, and comfort, the Scrambler Mid can outperform many trail running shoes. Whether you put that idea to the test, or take it for a day trip, or a month-long thru-hike, the Scrambler Mid is your perfect companion to Live Life Feet First. All Xero Shoes feature a wider, foot-shaped toe box that lets your toes spread and relax, a non-elevated “zero drop” heel for proper posture, low-to-the-ground design for perfect balance and agility, and a flexible sole that gives you “just right” protection so you can bend, move, flex, and Live Life Feet First!

Title: It is comfortable. Light
Review: Im returning it for a bigger size. It is too small for me. Highly recommended for hiking very flexible except little too small on my left foot Hope next bigger size would be perfect for me. I love them.

Title: DId not work for me...
Review: these boots look fabulous and I've had many complements on them, but they just don't work well for me. I've tried them with no insoles, with insoles, with different insoles, but no matter what I do I end up with blisters and sore, achy, painful, feet and ankles. I have worn them on 3 hikes to give them a good trial as I realy wanted them to work. The good...the sole is grippy, really good traction, plenty of room in the toe box and they are soft and breathable...

Title: These work great
Review: These suit my needs for a barefoot hiking shoe well, took them to Hawaii and did some solid hiking (25 miles total) on slick tree roots, lava rock, ect. and they held up great. The tread is pretty decent which is part of my struggle with finding good barefoot style hikers. Warning! They are true to size, but run a TINY bit tight. There is an insole that I took out and tossed and that solved all my issues. These ones are not waterproof, and the mess is super breathable, enough so that I did get a couple itty bitty lava rocks in my shoe. All in all would recommend.

Title: Great shoe, but runs short. You need to order a half or full size larger.
Review: When the size is right this show has nice room in the toe box and a good overall fit. I've had to return and reorder the larger size for this brand.

Title: Sole slides out while walking. Shoe lace hook fell off.
Review: I really liked the shoes. They are perfect in all ways expect these two. I ordered them and within two days the shoe lace lock fell completely off. So I returned them for a new pair. On the first day of use the sole starts slipping out under my feet and crawling up my heel. Iâm very disappointed because these are expensive shoes and are so comfortable and perfect in every way but this is so inconvenient. I am thinking to fix it with super glue instead of ordering for a third time.

Title: Finally found the rightones
Review: They are not cheap, but the bestones to walk over 9 miles. Light, good quality. I have wide feet that feel comfortable thanks to the wide toe box. I left the removable sole that come with, added a silicone sole and ware liner and thick socks. Still very comfortables. Not hard to get used to the zero drop.

Title: Runs a little small
Review: So comfortable and pretty!! Only complaint is that the laces are too short (I have very high arches and âhigh volumeâ feet). Easily remedied with the purchase of longer laces.

Title: Quickly became my favorite shoes until they are not.
Review: I bought these shoes because I have very much flat feet and most shoes make me walk on the side because the arch bothers me and I end up with pain in my ankles and calves. Well, these shoes did not do that. I used them for a 10 days trip to Mexico where we walked all the time and were great. Until they were not. Eventually the shoe liner on the left foot shifted and I can't get it back to where it should go. It keeps sliding back and leaves my toes out of the thing and it bothers my foot.I have looked into replacement liner but cant seem to find one that doesn't have the arch, but is wide enough to fit these shoes. And doesnt seem like Xero sells them. It makes me absolutely sad since I really thought I found THE shoes that works for me.
