Title: Simple but works great!
Review: Ok, I am a wimp. I always lose my appetite after deveining shrimp. I had three pounds of shrimp to prep and wanted to enjoy them, so I set out to look for a tool to do the job. Thanks to other reviewers, I chose this one. After I received it in the mail I searched for a video on the web that showed how to use it, Super easy. Went through 3 pounds of shrimp in five minutes and didn't lose my appetite. Recommend this over the one with the serrated edge, which only shreds the delicate meat of the crustacean.

Title: This tool makes cleaning raw shrimp so much easier
Review: I love this tool. It makes cleaning raw shrimp sooooo much easier. My only complaint is that it's a bit flimsy, which is why I had to make this second purchase in less than 3 years. But, considering its price, I'm very pleased with it.

Title: Makes peeling and deveining simple
Review: I wish I'd known how to use this properly when I bought it because it's amazing once you figure out the proper way to use it. I have to thank Sheila for her review suggesting we look at this video on You Tube; Donna at Rainbow Gardens. Before seeing her "how to peel and devein shrimp" video I was getting ready to give this amazing tool a less than perfect review and toss the deveiner in the trash. I feel so stupid because we were painfully slow at removing the shells before using the deveiner to try and push the vein out. We were blown away after learning how quickly and easily this peels and deveins the shrimp ! We are having shrimp tomorrow now that we know it will only take a few minutes to peel and devein the pound of shrimp we have in the freezer. This Shrimp Deveiner is my new favorite tool. I love the reviews on Amazon, they are so helpful.

Title: This tool provides a simple and easy way to shell (peel) and devein raw shrimp
Review: This tool provides a simple and easy way to shell (peel) and devein raw shrimp. Insert the tip of the tool just below the shell where the head was attached to the shrimp body. Pull the shrimp toward you and the tool will both shell and devein the shrimp, although you might have to use just a little bit of extra effort at times to completely remove the sand vein.I owned one of these for about 20 years before the tip broke off and I bought another just like it (this purchase). It is well worth the relatively low price. It cleans up easily and stores readily in any drawer.Highly recommended to help save time when dealing with raw shrimp that need to be peeled and deveined. Takes only a slight bit of practice to develop a feel for the tool.

Title: Learning Curve
Review: Should have gotten one of these things ages ago. I ordered 2, and broke one on the 3rd shrimp, but it was all part of the learning process. (don't leverage it, just keep pushing it through) I was using it on very large shrimp with very soft shells. (I get shrimp in the fish market in Puerto Penasco often, and they can be softer or messier, depending on the batch, but they all are delicious). There is definitely a learning curve, and if you have a variety of types and sizes of shrimp to clean as I do, you will probably even use it a bit differently depending on the shrimp. That being said, it is extremely helpful. I just ordered 2 more!

Title: Does a good job without destroying the shrimp
Review: We purchased this one as a replacement for the exact same product we had for years. Somehow, the old one broke due to misuse - the kids were playing with it. It does a great job of separating the shrimp from the shell and, at minimum, loosening the "vein". Sometimes the vein comes out cleanly, but more often, part of it wants to hold on. Not really a big deal, usually it will just wash off and if it doesn't, I can scrape it out with the tip of this deveiner. Overall, it makes pretty quick work of cleaning shrimp.

They mention it's a useful tool for seafood lovers, provides a simple and easy way to shell and devein raw shrimp, and is worth every penny. Some also like the peeling time. However, some customers have reported that the tip gets broken easily.
