Title: Galayou security camera.
Review: I never write reviews, but Can I just say I was so skeptical about buying these due to the low price and how small the camera was. We had a home security system we were ultimately paying about $90.00 a month for plus had to buy the cameras ect. totaling around $350.00 for all. I bought a pack of 4 of these for lower than $70.00 than bought another for lower than $20.00, it was the easiest set up ever and installing the app (Wansview cloud) was super easy as well. The picture is so super clear the sound is amazing and bonus I can talk to who ever is in my home wile I am away and they can clearly hear me as well. The camera is very small but captures the whole room I have put them each in. I can use my IPhone to see everything wile I am away. And bonus you do not need a subscription to do this. You can easily insert the SD card in to the camera if you chose to get them to record, but if you do not want to record there is no need for the SD card. I have installed 5 into 2 of my 3 kids rooms for baby monitoring 1 in the play room 1 in the kitchen and 1 in the Livingroom, all working beautifully. I will defiantly be buying 5 more of the outdoor Galayou home security cameras for outside of the home as well now that I no they work so well. The night vision has clear as day vision. I can not say enough this is a perfect security system/baby monitor and bonus what an excellent price!! These are simply amazing for the price and to ensure a feeling of safety. The only trouble I am having is I should be able to connect them to my Echo Show so I can use that as a screen to monitor as well but I can not seem to get them to connect to it, but I can always see the rooms on my phone through the app so not a huge deal to me. I do recommend these to anyone who 1) wants a baby monitor and you don't want to spend $200.00 or 2) just wants home security that you are not paying an arm and a leg for or pay for a monthly subscription. The cameras show the whole room, you can hear everyone in the room and talk to them as well, but bonus they are small enough to hide like nanny cams. Perfect devise. I will update when I order the outdoor security cameras and let you all no if they work just as well.

Title: Good little camera
Review: Very affordable indoor security camera. Small and can be discreet. Easy/quick set up with just the one cord and app download. The quality of the view is pretty good . It alerts you when motion is detected and has a microphone to speak through the camera. No issues so far

Title: Little G7 Smart Home Security Camera From Galayou
Review: Camera is very small but wide angle view. Fairly easy to set up and works well with app. Picture is very sharp and the night vision is awesome. Audio is clear. Video is great and you can zoom in and out.Great purchase and the price can't be beat ! Highly recommend

Title: Excellent Pet Monitor – Great Value for the Price!
Review: I got this on a lightning deal to keep an eye on our dog while we were away, and it's fantastic! It's easy to use, and the app is very user-friendly. The camera is small and discreet, and the speaking function works well. For the price and the specific use we needed, it works great! The set up process can be somewhat persnickety, but we have been able to get it connected every time we need it to. However, I personally wouldn't recommend it for home security or as a baby monitor, but it’s perfect for monitoring pets. Highly recommend for pet owners looking for a reliable solution!

Title: Overall a nice camera but with one major defect.
Review: Overall I have to give the camera a fairly high mark. It works and has clear imagery. Setup was simple and fast and the ability to set the motion activation area is a plus so you can still see other areas without them triggering the camera falsely.But despite the nice features it has a MAJOR defect that I just found out about today. Apparently when on my way to work we had a temporary power outage. It lasted only 5 minutes, but the cameras were down all day because of this. It seems that The cameras will only try to connect to wifi a short time then never try again. From ~8:12 am to 4:30PM my cameras were down. Once home I connected to my wifi via my phone no problems. So I power cycled the cameras and they quickly connected perfectly. This is a major problem but it gets even worse. While sitting disconnected the cameras will not record events. So I have no idea what happened all day at home. Not good for security cameras with local storage and no excuse either.This is a major oversight by GALAYOU and one I hope they plan on addressing with a firmware update, if they can even be updated.---------------------Had a somewhat lengthy conversation with customer service and let's just say it was not very helpful. They wanted to blame MY network for the problem and not their product. A device should never stop asking for an IP address on a network till it gets one. My server takes around 7 minutes to boot, so for that 7 minutes DHCP services are down. It's simply inexcusable that a device would only sent requests for so long then just stop. At a bare minimum it should reboot and then try again.Here is part of the conversation I had with them.------------------------From: MeDate: 2023-05-23 10:30To: MargieSubject: Re: Urgent, need your reply-Message about your camera-CeliaThe issue I have is really in two parts. First, the device seems to only try to obtain an IP address for a short time after booting up. My network is run by a slower 12th gen(~2013) Dell Poweredge so it can take up to 7 minutes for the DHCP server to be up and running after a power outage. So the cameras appear to stop trying to get an IP address before that.Secondly, Absent a connection the cameras don't record events. If they have powered up and have local storage I would expect them to still capture events. Then when they get an ip address return to normal operation. I don't know if it's just the IP address they are waiting for or an active internet connection. Other devices can connect fine even with the cameras just sitting there. The cameras themselves can connect just fine too once the server is fully up and they are powered up AFTER the server is running. It's a problem with the cameras no longer asking for an IP address after some amount of time.-------------------------------------The rest of the conversation was simply them asking me for the SN of the devices to check issues. Which the only real issue is the device not connecting to the network after failing to get a DHCP response after some time. Which should be a simple firmware fix.-----------------<6/1 edit>-----------------They now say they will work on the issue and will eventually patch the issue. I have bumped by rating accordingly. If they fix it, I will update my review. Which likely will result in a 5 out of 5 stars.
