Title: Nice system, but...
Review: This seems to be a pretty good system for home use. If you're somewhat tech savvy, it's not difficult to install and setup. The hardest part for me was running cables through the attic space, everything else was pretty straight forward.If you're going to pull cables through walls or attic space, I would suggest NOT using the "cat5" cables that come with this. You're going to have to cut off the RJ45 connectors and crimp in new ones anyway, so you'll need RJ45's and crimpers. The supplied cables are cheap copper clad aluminum making the cables weak and less efficient than copper. I would suggest tossing the supplied cable and getting a supply of GOOD cat5. I doubt any professional installer would use the supplied junk cable.I would have rated this 5 star had Swann actually supplied GOOD cat5 cable.

Review: Works great, the only things I don't like are that you can't hook a keyboard up to it ao you have to click the onscreen keyboard for everything, and if you turn off your monitor you have to log in every time.

Title: Failed After First Week
Review: Worked as advertised...for a week. Installed 26 June 2021, failed 03 July 201. Completed some troubleshooting and discovered the power cord/plug is not working. I have contacted Swann via their website through Amazon, we will see how the customer service.Update: I called Swann and informed them of my situation. I was told that I would receive an email that I would reply to with the camera information...still waiting for that email. Not good on customer service.Part II: It failed again! It happened a few months ago, but just getting around to updating the review. The power source for this camera, and I assume all individual powere sourced Swann cameras are crap! They replaced the original power source and it worked for awhile, but now here I sit with a false sense of security camera hanging in my garage.

Review: The camera plugged right up to my system with no issues. A little tricky to figure out how to unscrew the base to mount it but good solid mount. This is a 1080P so not good for super long distances. I used it to cover my basement.
