Title: Suspense
Review: I have to admit that when I started the book it did not capture my interest. Yet you need to become familiar with the characters in the book. It's mainly about Paula and Shane, Maddy and Phillip, Anthony and Sara, Alexander as well as Paula's cousin Jonathan and his wife Arabella., and more. Everything appears blissful at the beginning. Paula inherited Harte's enterprise, and she has a great team that works for her. Then, when we get familiar with the characters things take a turn, some of the things that will happen will have you in tears and suspense. We discover the true story of what happened to Anthony's first wife, we learn of Alexander's fatal illness, then the story of Maddy who is happily married and pregnant and takes an unexpected turn, Shane loses his hotel due to a fire, Jonathan is out to take Harte"s away from Paula. Very good read, recommend reading the book to the end.

Title: Very long read.
Review: Longest book I have ever read. Except for the Bible. Barbara Taylor Bradford out did herself with this one. Emma Hart wants to run the firm the way her grandma did. Everyone, family who want to take over her control. The characters are very strong and out standing. Can't wait to read another book of B.T. Bradfords.

Title: To BeThe Best
Review: I liked the family. I liked the family support. I liked the way Emma realized her mistake while raising her children and gave substance to her grandchildren.I didn’t like the complete repetition of the show of wealth at every turn. As a whole, I liked the book, the characters, the way each personality was personalized.

Title: Couldn't lay it down!
Review: This is a good wholesome interesting book. I read # 4 first, then read 1, 2 and 3. They held my interest until the wee hours of the morning. Had a love story, but certainly not X rated. This shows how women can persevere even with hard times in their lives.

Review: Barbara Bradford's books hold me spellbound. After starting one, I hate to put it down.The stories are so full of compassion, love and intrigue. Also get an insight of other countries andthe personalities of characters and their background. Interesting reading!

Title: great re-read
Review: I read this book and series when it was first published. I love family drama and intrigue. I really like the family dynamics and how the characters interact. It seems real to me in some ways; others it is a look into the world of the rich and famous. I wonder at times if the author has based some of the characters in real life. I enjoy this author's style. She does not jump around but rather guides you through the lives of the family members, some of whom are quite treacherous.

Title: and did not think this one was as good..
Review: I have read other books in the series, and did not think this one was as good...too many characters were killed off! I do like the way she balances all the characters...given that this is a series about a huge family with a lot of history and relations, it can be difficult to keep them all straight, but the author does give hints so you know which character is which as you read, which really helps! I do recommend this book, and the series as well. Good reads!

Review: I have most of Barbara Taylor Bradfords books, but may faves are the Harte series including the last 3! I have 2 of the dvd's except the third one as I think it is so far removed from the original book, I didn't like it. Now I have them all on my kindle!

Review: I started reading the saga about 10 years ago and I was impressed by the first 2 books. I really wanted to know what follows and I bought the others now. This one is nice and I recommend it if you really are curious of what follows after the other books. I would not recommend the ones that continue after this one though
