A New York Times Bestseller
Now a Netflix series!
When a tragic accident leads Jackie to move into a house filled with eleven boys, she gets far more than she ever expected. This sweet YA romance is perfect for fans of Kasie West and Jenny Han—and is one of the most beloved Wattpad books ever!
Moving in with eleven boys was not part of the plan.
Jackie's goal is perfection—perfect grades, the perfect look, getting into the perfect school. If she can achieve that, then maybe her too-busy mom and dad will take notice. But when her parents die in a tragic accident, Jackie is shipped off across the country to live with the Walters, her new guardians…who just happen to have eleven sons (plus a daughter who is basically one of the boys).
The Walter boys are loud, dirty, annoying—and, okay, some of the older boys might be Greek god level hot, but they don't think a city girl belongs on their horse ranch. How is Jackie supposed to fit into their chaotic world when she needs to keep her parents' memory alive by living up to the promise of perfect?
But as Jackie spends more time with the Walter boys, she begins to wonder if the perfection she's always strived for isn't the only way to find love after all.
Funny and moving, My Life with the Walter Boys is perfect for readers looking for:

Title: enjoyable read
Review: I have to admit, I watched the TV version before I read this book. I really liked both but for different reasons. I felt like the book version was more realistic in all the chaos going on. And I liked the flow of the book version. No big unexplained gaps of time between chapters. But my only complaint is that it felt like it wrapped up too soon. I would have liked to have seen more of Cole and Alex fleshed out before the book ended. It was paced too quickly in the end. But it was a good book.

Title: LOVE LOVE LOVE
Review: I LOVE this book! I finished it yesterday and I cried because it was over. It was not sad at all - the ending was one of those endings where it's happy and sad at the same time (you'll know you what I mean when you read it) - I just did not want the story to end. I'm still trying to bring myself back to reality and trying to make myself remember that it was fiction, but when I do that it makes me sad all over again!I loved Jackie. She was a great main character; she wasn't annoying and she was confident. She handled herself very well when she talked to the boys; they were gorgeous I probably would've just fainted at their feet. Even when some of the Walter kids were complete jerks to her, she stood up for herself and handled herself well. I didn't like some of the choices she made, however.I loved Alex. He was incredibly sweet and adorable and his a Jackie's relationship toward the end made me so sad. I want someone like Alex in my life. I think everyone needs an Alex.I also loved Cole, although he annoyed me throughout the story. He was always with another girl, and I know he was supposed to be your stereotypical popular hot guy, but he annoyed me sometimes. My heart melted at his an Jackie's scene at the end.I loved all the characters. Katherine (her gaurdian) was really nice to Jackie. And (most) of the Walter kids were fun, funny and nice. If I was Jackie I would lose my mind, but eventually warm up to their craziness. But just thinking about living in a house with TWELVE BOYS gave me anxiety. But, it was a FANTASTIC book! If this turned into a movie, I would audition, or be at the movie premiere!I can't believe that Ali Novak started writing this book with she was only 15. That blew my mind!I HIGHLY recommend this book! My heart is still broken that it's over. But I will DEFINITELY be reading this again!

Title: Netflix Series better than the source material
Review: This is a first for me. I'm accustomed to books far outstripping their on-screen adaptations because books can generally add more depth and context that the adaptation needs to filter out. It's a good novel, and had I not seen the Netflix series beforehand, I would've given this a better review. The story is appealing, but some characters feel two-dimensional, making their actions along the storyline hugely predictable (except for Lee).

Title: Itâs amazing!
Review: Not the same as the series but it is different. Also you get to read inside the mind of characters.

Title: Grief Portrayal/ Love Triangle Thoughts
Review: The way Novak writes grief is so relatable. Movies, tv shows and even books portray grief as an all consuming devastating thing. And sure. It can be. The moment they tell you? Your knees buckle. The sounds of your sobs cutting through the air sound like the mournful wails of some other person over some other dead relative. In that moment it feels unbelievable that you're capable of making such noises. But grief after that crushing moment? It's different. Take any one of your loved ones. You think about them more often than you realize. My dad for instance. Everytime I see the following, it reminds me of him: rice pudding, tostito scoop chips, mtn dew, LSU, or blue plaid. Alive, it's a nothing thought. Walking down the aisles of a store and I see a blue plaid shirt "dad has a shirt just like this" but after he passed. Those little remembrances were still there. Only immediately after I think "oh that's right. Dad's dead" and for a moment, I'm sad he can't like blue plaid shirts anymore. Novak writes Jackie's grief like that, in the most relatable way. 10/10 for how she portrayed Jackie's grieving. But as far as the love triangle? It's lack luster and anticlimactic. It was so extremely petty. The brothers were literally fighting over Jackie like she was the TV remote the entire time. They didn't want her for her, they wanted her because she was a prize and that's it. A brothers pissing contest. The end all be all moment where she chooses the other brother fell FLAT. All this for...that? Yeah. It wasn't a bad book but the love triangle was just... an aggressive MEH for me.

Title: Trigger warning - cliff hanger
Review: This book ends on a cliffhanger and there is no second book inside as of right now. Although, I did see when I was googling for a second book that she is considering writing a second book on these lovely characters since the TV show has been such a great hit and is moving along to a second season. I absolutely love the dynamic between Cole and Jackie both in the book and in the TV show. Cole is just broken and heartwarmingly smoldering. I personally feel as though the casting of Cole Walter in the TV show is spot on. Now I know that Alex is a sweet boy, but I never really jived with his personality with Jackie. She is such a straight laced person she needs someone that pulls her out of her comfort zone and makes her more. Cole Walter does all that and more for her. I want to call Walter in my life

Review: I read this after watching the Netflix series. Itâs definitely a teen romance type book. Was light and easy to read. Some differences to the tv show but still a good read. I personally liked the tv show better than the book as I felt the tv show is a bit more depth to it than the book.
