Title: Excellent machine!
Review: I’ve had my machine for a while now and I’ve made quite a few projects with it. I am absolutely thrilled with how well it works. There are more than enough stitch functions for most sewists.This machine is mechanical instead of digital which means I can clean and maintain it on my own and not have to worry with electronics and circuits breaking down. Don’t be intimidated by the word “mechanical” if you’re new to sewing. Everything is as easy as turning a dial.Like most machines it works best if you remove the throat plate and clean and oil it after every project. It’s insanely simple and takes me about 5 minutes to do. You can find tutorials online, and other than the oil (which is cheap and lasts forever) this machine comes with all of the tools you need although I recommend buying a tiny screwdriver set if you sew a lot. I’ve even set the timing on this thing after a mishap with an aftermarket ruffled foot and was amazed at how simple it was to do.I also like that if you learn to listen to this machine it’s going to tell you waaay ahead of time if there’s a problem so you can take care of it before it jams.The only problem I’ve had with this machine is that if I use the upright spool pin the thread sometimes jumps and wraps around the pin and jams. I finally quit using that pin and either use a freestanding one I bought cheap or the horizontal pin that comes with the machine.I’ve been able to sew corsets with multiple layers of fabric and cording with no issues at all. It took me a few tries to get the buttonhole feature right (really make sure you have the lever all the way down, again, watch a few videos online) but buttonholes are now easy as pie.If you’re a more advanced sewer who loves all of the bells and whistles like push button thread cutters and super fancy features, this probably won’t be your fave unless you’re looking for a workhorse for more sturdy fabrics. But I assume that anyone that advanced is probably looking at machines that are 5 times more expensive and will require a pro to service once a year.

Title: Exceptional Machine
Review: I am very impressed with this sewing machine. It has exceeded all my expectations by far. I have basic to intermediate sewing skills and just wanted a machine that was easy to learn and use, could do basic stitches well, was high quality, and had a decent number of features. This sewing machine is exceptional in all four categories.I can tell when using it that it is a workhorse and have had zero problems with feeding the fabric or thread tension, which was a big concern of mine. No more bunching up of thread underneath, which was a common problem I've had with previous machines. The foot pedal sensitivity is also right on, which was another concern. Contrary to what some others have said, it is very easy to control the speed and slow it down with a light foot touch, or run it at full speed (which is very fast). It is also very easy to thread the machine, wind the bobbin, and insert the bobbin - also important requirements for me. (What good is a sewing machine if you can't remember how to use it?) And as an added bonus, it has numerous features, including a built-in needle threader, top-loading bobbin that you can see while sewing, automatic button-hole function, several stretch and decorative stitches in addition to the basic ones, and it comes with several accessories. It is also fairly light and compact in size with a built-in carrying handle so you can move it around easily. Really amazing. This is a fantastic sewing machine and highly recommended.I would also recommend the 4452 model over the lower-numbered ones, especially the 4411, which is too basic. Definitely worth the extra $20 to get all the additional features.

Review: I love that this machine is much like the old machine I have had for years. No learning curve. I like that it is a manual machine. I am old and old-fashioned. I don't need all those fancy stitches. Tried a Brother XR3774 and I loved it until the bobbin case flew out at me one day and there is no way to replace it. Thought maybe it was a fluke and bought another XR 3774. The machine arrived with the shank installed at a 45 degree angle to what it should have been. Didn't pay attention until I had to replace the needle and then it was almost impossible. Hour on the phone and the "technician" couldn't understand what I was trying to tell him/her. Referred me to an authorized repair person. She was condescending and pretty much said that's what you get for not buying a $1,000.00 machine from her!!!!! So, I decided to go back to Singer. Not the quality of the first Singer I ever owned but nothing is as good as it used to be. Hope if it's going to screw up it will happen before the return window closes. So far, so good but I haven't even had it a day. Will update as time goes by.

Review: Anteriormente ya avía tenido el modelo 4423 de esta maquina y me gustaba mucho, pero mi perrito se enrredo con los cables y me la tumbo, y le llore a mi maquina porque pensé que ya no iba funcionar porque prácticamentese se me desbarato en el piso, y yo la recojo y a como pude la volví a armar, y oh sorpresa!! Volvió a trabajar excelentemente bien, pero ya estaba raspadita de enfrente y pensé alomejor más adelante me empieza a fallar y mejor la vendí, y me compre la brother modelo st371hd porque mire buenos comentarios de ella, y al principio todo bien pero ya después como que perdió fuerza para correr la tela y tenia yo que jalar la tela para que pudiera coser, a causa de eso se me daba unos atascos bien bárbaros, hice lo que tenia que hacer con ella y no quedó. Así que por eso vuelvo a comprar es maquina singer que ya tenia conocida, y asta ahorita a funcionado excelente, lo único que no me gusta mucho es que hace ruido, pero de ahí todo bien

Review: Looked to be a really good product metal casing and heavy enough not to move when sewing, I had a machine similar some years ago so can state that with conviction. However as I was purchasing from the UK it didn't state in the description that it was not dual voltage so I had an issue immediately. I couldn't test it and speaking directly to Singer in the UK I couldn't just purchase a different peddle I had to have a transformer to use it. If I had known that I wouldn't have purchased it in the first instance. I will say though if you are purchasing in the USA it would be a good buy. Customer service was excellent UK based not sure about USA though. Sad that it wasn't what I thought it was.
