Title: Obsessed with this game
Review: This game is amazing, although I don't have much too compare it to since the last NHL game I've played or even owned has been over 10 years. There are so many modes and especially Hockey Ultimate Team (HUT) mode is incredible. I play about 4-5 hours a day for about a week of having it and I don't see myself stopping any time soon. The EA pucks that you get through playing game acts as a currency for you to buy packs of NHL cards. This is all in HUT btw. Basically the packs you redeem with EA pucks will be filled with things to make your team better. The players (and other things like locked jersey, training cards to boost attributes, etc.) become part of your roster. You choose their fate by either trading them, selling them for EA pucks to other online players, or discard them for a nominal gain. The game even boasts that most of the time playing this mode will be occurred in managing your team and I'll have to agree with that. Its fun to see what other people are selling and buy packs and suspense that ensues to see if you've finally found that elusive crosby or ovechkin card. Great game and I still have played all modes yet (season mode especially). 5 stars w/o a doubt. PS - game controls are top notch but if you haven't played in a while, training mode is available and will improve your coordination in not time. 😀

Title: Not really an improvement over NHL10
Review: NHL 11 has some great new graphics - the hitting is more realistic, the board play is more realistic, the face-offs are more fun & more realistic. Those things are great. The first thing you'll notice is the load time... it's significantly longer. Maybe I'm just impatient, but it's 2-3 times longer (for me) than NHL10.The second thing you'll notice: The soundtrack is embarrassingly terrible. Outside of BRMC... it's AWFUL.The third thing - the menus are a step in the wrong direction.I don't believe the passing was revised, however, at least 3-4 times a game, I've apparently hit the pass button too many times & the player intended continues to pass the puck to someone else. Who knows - maybe it's me - & yes I know about the sliders, etc... this makes me feel the game play just isn't as solid.Overall it's nice... but I think NHL10 was better.

Title: Best NHL game by far.
Review: NHL 11 still contains a few glitches like how your enforcers don't target Ovechkin & leave him wide open in the slot. Even if you take control of the situation & all game you have been physically abusing Ovechkin he still doesn't want to drop the gloves.Your top defenders have trouble clearing the puck up the boards & out of your zone.Goalies make fantasy saves by twisting & turning like a tornado to keep that puck that's sitting on their shoulder out of the net. When playing Be A Pro Mode; you can't control your line changes because you are locked into either 1 player or if you choose 1 position. Too often does the AI put your tired line out against a fully rested opponent. When your controlled player gets tired a red target will blink at your bench. Most of the time you skate to the target & successfully complete the change. But every once in awhile your player will get to the target & get rejected! You are then forced to continue on the ice with a tire player until play stops. The intro movies are lacking. Got to the Playoffs in Be A Pro Mode & the intro movie was the same as during the regular season. No special intros, I was almost expecting the last line of the Star Spangled Banner or Canadian National Anthem & hearing the crowd go crazy just to give that authentic Playoff feel. The following season after winning the Stanley Cup the first week of games all had the same intro of raising the Championship Banner. It was like in the real world if they kept taking the banner down just to put it back up every home game to remind everyone they won last season. The most disappointing thing about Be A Pro Mode was not being able to skate around with the Cup. The video doesn't even show your Pro touching the cup let alone raising the Cup. At the end of the video the team stacks up in a pile for the team picture & your Pro is nowhere to be found. These glitches are just a small inconvenience of the game that kept it from being the Greatest NHL game ever! Overall this is the best and most realistic NHL game created so far. Highly recommend to everyone who has been disappointed from hockey games in the past.

Title: Most complete SIM ever!
Review: I have always been an EA supporter. I also have always believed that for as much hype as the Madden series gets, in my opinion, the NHL franchise by EA has been the best sports game. This years' edition is no different as the tweaks they have made to the experience make it much more challenging and equally frustrating. Frustrating in a good way if you really understand the sport. All of the great customizable features have returned, along with my favorite option, the EA Music Trax option which allows you to incorporate your own music into the game. The online experience is just as smooth as it has been for the last 3 years. In the actual gameplay experience, you are instantly immersed in strategy and how to put together a solid 60 minute hockey performance. Between missed checks, not finished checks, broken sticks, or sticks falling out of player's hands, all of the nuances of an actual NHL game are there. How many times has your team had a powerplay, your D-man lines up a major slapshot, and as he goes through the motion, BANG, the sticks splinters or snaps. The physics of deflected shots from in front of the net, the idea of setting up an offense, or developing a solid defensive scheme is really brought to the forefront in NHL 11. The best new feature that I have seen so far is the new faceoff system. NHL 10's set up was very basic. This year's edition provides you the opportunity to draw the faceoff or tie up your faceoff opponent and kick it to a player. Winning a faceoff can be huge in controlling the tempo of a game in real life. So drawing the faceoff the right way is key.I only received the game today. But from what I have seen, it is worth the investment if you are a true hockey guru.I haven't found any cons yet.

Review: 初めて、アイスホッケーのゲームを購入しました。いままでやっていたサッカーゲームと比べ、スピード感とタックルの迫力が面白いです。サッカーゲームが飽きてしまった人、新しい刺激があります。買って損はしないと思います。
