Title: Great recipes. Fun idea.
Review: Weâve enjoyed it so far. As other reviews indicted there are a lot of cream recipes. Iâm planning to make the cream cake for my wifeâs birthday. Sheâs the bigger Poldark fan. Itâs fun to make the recipes after watching the series. There are good and tasty recipes, however, that do not include cream. I thoroughly enjoyed the mini meat pies, and they did not have cream. My father-in-law thought they looked different from what he remembered growing up. Even he enjoyed the taste. I thought the sauce on the inside of the meat pie was great. Better than his. ð

Title: A great addition to my cookbook collection
Review: Although I have only made one item so far, the milk cake, it was delicious. I like the cookbook, itâs good quality, nice color pictures of many, if not most, of the dishes. There are a few pictures of Cornwall as well, but sadly none from the show Poldark. But no matter, itâs a nicely done collection of foods that were eaten during the Poldark era. For the most part all the ingredients are things I would normally have in my kitchen or could find easily. Looking forward to trying more recipes.

Title: A lovely book
Review: I love that the book is divided into "manor house" dishes and "boardinghouse" dishes. Easy to read directions, clear ingredient lists, and a bit of a tie in to the show with each recipe. I highly recommend for home cooks and fans of Poldark.

Title: Fun and adaptable
Review: This cookbook is great not only for fans of Poldark, but also for people who like to try something new and different every now and then. I'm a huge fan of old English style recipes and pub food so if you're interested in that kind of thing. I would recommend this book. I've made at least half a dozen recipes and they've all turned out great. Luckily I have a husband who can bring home pheasant now and then, but you can easily adapt the recipes to incorporate ingredients that are more readily available.

Title: A great and informative book of Cornish traditional recipes.
Review: I am interested in how Europeans celebrated and feasted in times past. The recipes seem outstanding! The Poldark connection is less important to me as I have only seen the series as a guest at friends behest. However, the references to the characters seem to give the narration a little extra color and provides the reader a picture of how the recipes were enjoyed in times past. The book is probably going to be one of my favorites as I have taken up cooking now that I am somewhat retired.

Review: I really love this cookbook! Beside that it is really nicely made for "Poldark" lovers -I have tried out already quite some of the recipes and all were delicious.I cannot judge how original the recipes are but I really like them and I found even a good way to adapt some in a vegetarian way.In a nutshell: A cookbook I love to use and can recommend!
