Title: A good fit and very comfortable after the 1st 100 yards.
Review: What I like about the shoe: it feels sturdy, well made, and it is comfortable. It fit me well once the ankle cushion was broken in. I also like that the shoe is 100% leather. What I don't like: fake discounts. The shoe is advertised at 35% off, or $100. I think the pricing point is within the range of similar walking shoes, so it has hard for me to know whether this is a genuine discount or not. There is another Keen shoe 'Targhee 3 Oxford Casual Hiking Shoe' which is made of textile & synthetic material which sells for $64, so $100 for an all leather model is not unreasonable. $155 seems high ($100 after 35% off), so it makes me question whether the discount is real.If I remember, I will update this review in a year or two with comments about durability.

Title: Excellent hiking shoes, no break-in needed. Comfy right out of the box
Review: I bought these when I was looking for a pair of shoes for an challenging upcoming hike, and they were perfect in every way! Even better - they were comfy right out of the box. I wore them for about 2 weeks prior to my hike, and the fit was perfect. I wear size 13 wide.I can see myself wearing these as both my everyday shoes, and for many more upcoming hikes. They did well on both uphill and downhill rock scrambles, wet surfaces, and hiking through wet areas. Huge thumbs up for me.

Title: Comfortable and supportive but a bit heavy
Review: I'm pleased with these hikers. I've put about 20 miles on them so far. They are comfortable, supportive, and well cushioned without feeling wobbly. They are a bit heavy (16 oz each) but that's probably inevitable due to the waterproof materials.Upgraded to five stars after 50 miles. I love these shoes! The weather has turned colder and wetter and these Keen hikers have adapted perfectly. Just warm enough without feeling hot or sweaty. Really good grip too. The fit is still exactly to size even with a thicker sock, I just loosened the laces a bit.

Title: Excellent shoes with caveats
Review: I do a LOT of walking, much of it in urban areas but also on trails. I have heard about the KEEN shoes for years, and I finally got a pair late in 2023. (The pair I purchased more recently from Amazon was to replace that earlier pair.)The news is mostly good. They are very comfortable shoes, and I especially appreciate the roomy toe area. The uppers are solid and stand up to mud and water — I've used them for long walks in rain. The thickness and stiffness of the sole is just right for me — not too stiff for the urban walking, but providing enough cushion and stiffness for hiking on trails, including somewhat rough trails. The little loop at the heel is actually useful when putting the shoes on. The lacing system is straightforward and effective. The shoes were comfortable right out of the box and remained so.I would like to mention two issue that buyers should be aware of. First, like many similar shoes, the removable cushioned insoles are not very durable. After six months of use or a bit less the fabric on top of the insoles began to wear and I had to replace them. More concerning to me is that the soles wore down significantly after six months, to the point that all of the heel tread was gone and a hole revealed the underlying (and less protective) inner foam layer. Unfortunately, the soles are not replaceable. In fairness, I walk a lot and I do wear shoes out this way. But do be aware of this if you purchase this shoe.

Title: They last
Review: I have wore these shoes for over a year they have been in mud, water and on concrete floors in that time 7 days a week the only reason I'm retiring them is because the upper lace hole that is fabric finally disintegrated I will keep to work on out side projects as they are still in decent shape and don't have holes in them .

Title: Well structured yet lightweight shoes
Review: My husband was looking for another pair of shoes for his work as a contractor and while outside on our raw land. I was able to score these through the warehouse returns at a great price and it was a blessing that they fit perfectly. He LOVES these! He has some ankle issues from injuries when he was younger and these offer the structure and support for his feet that he was looking for. He's told me multiple times how great these are compared to the lack of support in running shoes, etc. We'll definitely purchase these again when the time comes. They're durable, comfortable, and all around great shoes from a great brand.

Title: Not a cushy ride
Review: I received these Keens yesterday so this is not a long-term review, rather some initial first impressions. I laced them up and took the dog for his daily two mile walk. It is along an asphalt road and I immediately noticed that there wasn't much give in the sole or footbed padding. It wasn't particularly uncomfortable, just very firm and I could feel every pebble. Hopefully that indicates the sole should resist wear and it should be noted that traction on the hilly roadway, covered with wet leaves, was very good. That said, they definitely aren't like walking on a cloud. I think a full day on a hard surface would be tiring. There is ample room in the toe box, and after the walk I had no hot spots. As delivered, arch support is minimal so I installed a pair of Dr. Potter orthotic insoles, available here on Amazon, and they worked well.My main objective was a pair of waterproof shoes for our daily walk when inclement weather hits here in the Pacific Northwest. If these keep my feet dry in the upcoming rains and continue to provide good traction, I can live with the firmness. Otherwise, I'll let you know.

Review: Very comfortable and my orthotics fit perfectly. The toe box has more room than other brands in medium width. I use them for golf, indoors and outdoors. Only slipped twice with them the whole summer (over 110 rounds plus driving range use) due to more sand on tee deck and very short grass during early morning rounds. They are waterproof and plenty of traction.Recommend these Keen!
