‘I’ve never been afraid of big moments. I get butterflies. I get nervous and anxious, but I think those are all good signs that I’m ready for the moment’ – Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry was intent in showing the world that he was not just ‘lucky’ – he wanted to show that he deserved to be playing in the Finals. He deserved to be the MVP. He deserved to win a championship. He deserved to be recognized as one of the greatest players to ever play this game.

From humble beginnings, as the 7th pick in the 2009 NBA Draft that went relatively unnoticed, from having the one of worst records in the NBA in his first year as a Warrior, from being cast aside by critics for being always riddled with injury, he was now on the verge of ending all speculation once and for all as to whether his name deserved to be mentioned amongst the NBA greats.

All it took was just 12 more minutes, just 1 more quarter of basketball – with the Cleveland Cavalier fans booing him, the critics doubting him and the whole world watching him - he would show them just what he’s capable of to succeed under pressure, a skill he has picked up and honed over all the years of his basketball life. After 12 minutes, the world would come to know of the legend of Stephen Curry – being one of the greatest shooter’s to ever play the game of basketball. After 12 more minutes, Stephen Curry would be deemed a bonafide superstar. After 12 more minutes, Stephen Curry wouldn’t be known as the guy who got ‘lucky’ to be MVP – he would go from being just another all-star, to being an NBA Champion and solidifying his status as an absolute force to be reckoned with in the league.

Interesting, engaging and easy to read, this book is about the rise of Stephen Curry, the Long-Shot, the MVP, and the Champion.

Title: It got my 12 year old to read!
Review: I got this mainly because my 12 year old is really into sports and Stephan Curry is one of his favorite players, but he hates to read so I wasn't sure if he would like it or not. I am happy to say once I gave it to him to read he didn't stop till he was done. Not that this is a long book by any means but he never reads so it's a good start at least. He said it was good and enjoyable to read.Disclosure: I was given the opportunity to purchase this product at a discounted rate in order to test and give an unbiased review. Title: Inspiring for all ages!
Review: Being a Northern California expatriate and a bit of a sports nut, I’ve loved watching the rise of the Golden State Warriors over the past couple of years. One of the happiest parts of that rise (beside their beautifully selfless teamwork) has been the emergence of Stephen Curry as MVP and NBA star. This book illustrates why.The book is written nicely, where a youngster would enjoy it as well as an adult. Not “dumbed down” or oversimplified, just stated in a manner suited for all audiences. Curry himself makes for a terrific subject, not just because of his incredible skill as a player, but his humility, faith, and devotion to family. (After all, daughter Riley stole the show in the post-championship interviews!) His collegiate career is covered well, as is his earlier time in the NBA. He’s not seen “in a bubble”, either, but in the context of his team and other NBA standouts. (I mention that after having read a number of sports bios with little reference to anyone other than the subject.)I would absolutely recommend this book for basketball fans, Warriors fans, Steph Curry/Splash Brothers fans, and anyone else, age can-read-reasonably-well to adult, who enjoys a book about a respected and talented young man whose hard work, faith and family have brought him to fame and success. I did receive a discount on this item in return for a fair and honest review.

Title: Hoped for more details but a great read!
Review: I thought this was a pretty good book. It was a quick and easy read on a amazing young athlete in Stephen Curry. John Emerson, does a nice job of sequencing all of Curry's accomplishments by ordering them chronologically. The book goes through Curry's basketball life from when he was young/childhood, to his high school career to college and eventually on to the NBA. The author sets the tone of an underdog with his style of writing which is perfect for Stephen Curry. However, if you are an avid basketball fan, I think that you may already know most of the information in the book. I found the book fun to read but most of the information covered the surface of Steph's career and personal life. There were not too many details that really dove into Stephen Curry's life like I would have hoped. Many of the biographies that I have read uncover fun facts, and share things about the athlete that most people did not know. All in all, this was a quick and interesting read if you want to learn about a NBA superstar who is constantly an underdog because of his size. John Emerson does a great job of highlighting Steph's struggles as being an underdog. I would recommend this to anyone that loves the game of basketball or is interested in learning about a great athlete in our era today.

Title: I really enjoyed this book about Stephen Curry
Review: I really enjoyed this book about Stephen Curry, it showed you who the real Steph is. You learned a little about his family background, his childhood, his early career in high school and college. Your learned how he is a family man who has been with his wife since he was fourteen years old and a man who strives to complete his goals. He knows he is not the best which is great because it proves hes not conceited, he knows that he always has something he has to improve on. This book was a great little starter book to learn more about Stephen Curry, I was a bit disappointed that it was so short because I wanted to keep reading on and on about him but it was all done. I read this book very fast and it is very short and easy to read. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a love of Steph Curry or of basketball. This book is also very inspiring for anyone who is looking to have a career in basketball and someone keeps telling them they cannot do it. That's what they said to Steph Curry and look at him now. I received this book at a discount for my honest and unbiased review.
