With details on everything from the Hollywood Bowl to the Sunset Strip, this is the only guide a native or traveler needs.

The Not For Tourists Guide to Los Angeles is the essential urban handbook that thousands of Los Angelenos rely on daily. The map-based, neighborhood-by-neighborhood guidebook divides the city into fifty-seven mapped neighborhoods and pinpoints all of the essential services and entertainment hot spots with NFT’s user-friendly icons.

Want to drive around the palm tree-peppered concrete jungle like a pro? NFT has you covered. How about sunbathing on a beach? We’ve got that, too. The nearest Hollywood club, holistic health practitioner, sports outing, or shopping destination—whatever you need—NFT puts it at your fingertips. The guide also includes:

• A foldout highway map covering all of Los Angeles
• More than 150 neighborhood and city maps
• A guide to TV and movie studio locations
• Listings for the best shopping destinations

Everything from supermarkets, cafés, bars, and gas stations, to information on twenty-four-hour services, beaches, public transportation, and city events—NFT will help you find a boutique for an Oscars gown, and then show you how to get there.

Title: the street I was looking for was not on the map they said it will be on
Review: I was looking for “Blue Jay Way”. The index said it will be on LA 2 A1/B1. Incorrect! It is not there at all! It is nowhere!

Title: Not updated and worthless.
Review: What a disappointment to buy a city guide dated 2021 only to discover it is filled with outdated information. Lazy authors and editors, and they should be ashamed to put this book up for sale. Do. Not, Waste. Your. Dollars,

Title: Says 2021 but is more like 2012
Review: They phoned it in. Not updated. Doesn’t even mention The Broad. And The Broad and Walt Disney Concert Hall are not on the map.

Title: Gave as a gift...not a bad little guide book for new transplants
Review: I really like the NFT brand of guidebooks. If you are lucky enough to live in a city where there is an NFT guide available, I would pick one up. They do a nice job delving into local culture and the weird ticks of each city. I had a Boston NFT guide once and it had maps of every Dunkin location in the city - which if you know anything about Boston - that is the right map for that city. The LA guide looked pretty good and when my friend moved there I picked him up a copy as a house warming gift. During my first visit, we hit a few suggestions from the book. So much more to explore! So, in summary. If you want to experience a city like a local, this is a great book series that can help.
