Do you want to be entertained by strange, unique and interesting true stories?

Or maybe just have a laugh?

The World's Best Short Stories is a compendium of crazy and oddly funny stories from different periods across human history. You’ll learn about pompous politicians, admirable animals, and some very strange oddballs!

The book provides the reader with an easily accessible entrance into some of the most important aspects of human history. The stories are packed with humor and jokes to offer up even the grumpiest of readers a wry smile.

The stories carefully selected for the book are typically areas that the average reader won’t have heard of before. Though many of them are set in familiar periods of history which helps the readers build from their own base of knowledge.

In this book you will find:

127 exciting stories from different periods and locations across history.Boiled-down information from the words of a historian to help plug holes in your knowledge.Strange accounts, showing an underside of humanity that isn’t discussed in more traditional academic circles.A little extra touch of wit and humor, to keep you entertained along the way.

This book is supposed to help people access new information in a way that isn’t overwhelming or complicated but is instead funny and simple.

The book has some mature themes, though it remains suitable for young teenagers and older, as long as whoever reads the book is just immature enough to be able to laugh at the sillier side of life and history.

If you’re looking for the perfect gift item or just a casual read or light-hearted page-turner, then The World's Best Short Stories is the book for you.

Title: This Is An Excellent Interesting Book
Review: I enjoyed reading this excellent interesting book. I learned from this book some facts that I did not know before reading this book. Some of the interesting facts that the author of this book mentions in this book include the following information: Some foods started out with different names than they have today. Candy corn used to be called chicken feed. Eggo waffles were originally froffles. Cotton candy was originally called Fairy Floss. McDonald's Big Mac was originally named the Aristocrat or Blue Ribbon Burger. In the year of 1943, the U.S. Government made the decision that sliced bread was not to be sold in the United States. It was because of the wrapping the bread came in. You need to use wrapping if you slice bread in advance. This was during World War II with rationing of some items. In the 1800s, it was very rare for any person to reach the age of 50 with their natural teeth. It wasn't until the 1870's decade that human teeth stopped being used as dentures.

Title: Stocking Stuffer
Review: Bought for my daughter’s stocking this Christmas. She says the stories are “for adults”, but they haven’t seemed inappropriate- just different than she’s used to reading…but bonus…she’s actually reading (it usually takes some convincing)!

Title: Not what we hoped ; It’s not for young children.
Review: This appears to be a series of stories a child might appreciate. It is not. There are interesting incidents , conflicts and the like that seem to be taken from National Geographic type sources and would appeal most to adults. Children under 10 have no interest.
