Title: Nice addition
Review: So let me start this by saying that I will be returning this item, but that's not the fault of the manufacturer. Shell holder seems to be nice quality, metal with a rubber insert in each hole to provide good positive retention of the shell. My issue with it that I'm returning for is because I'm just an airsofter and it turns out airsoft shells are slightly bigger around than real 12ga.

Title: Great option. No tools required.
Review: This is a great saddle. Very sturdy aluminum, will not stretch or break over time like some plastic options. Adjustable to for most shotguns in the 4 or 6 shell configurations. Great retention, yet shells are easily inserted and removed. I expect this saddle to last for years. Easily removable and no tools are required to install.

Title: very easy to install
Review: Versatile, very easy to install, works. I failed to notice that this was aluminum, not polymer, until it arrived. That may be a pro or con for you - I'd prefer the slight weight savings of a decent polymer, but w/e. Nice that you can use is as 2, 4, or 6 (the two parts slide together to loosely form a single unit, and are kept together when you put stick the velcro to them.)Retention is, if anything, a little too strong, as the shells can be a little difficult to extract (there is a bit of rubber running the length of the unit horizontally that the shells press against that adds friction). I carry mine brass up. Haven't tried shooting it brass down. Also, when I got home from the range (put about a dozen rounds through this gun w/ the carrier mounted w/ shells in it) I noticed that the side saddle had twisted a little in relation to the velcro on my receiver so the front was low and the back was high. Not sure if that happened while shooting or handling. I was surprised to see this as the connection had seemed quite strong. It's difficult enough to actually pull it off and put it back on straight.Overall I'd probably buy a nylon shell card with elastic to do a velcro mount again. This works fine thus far and I have no intentions of replacing it unless it proves to be problematic in the future. I hope this provided some helpful info for another potential buyer.

Title: Best value sidesaddle IMO
Review: I've had a few sidesaddles, and this one is my favorite. Typical nylon/velcro sidesaddles are ok for versatility, but they don't tend to retain the shells very well. After firing one or two rounds, the other shells have a tendency to fall out from the recoil. But this sidesaddle retains the shells quite nicely, without gripping them so tightly that they're hard to remove. You have many options (2, 4, or 6 slots) before installation, the aluminum is fairly high quality, and the velcro is super strong. For proper use (and as many other reviewers have mentioned), I'd recommend-Cutting the velcro to size, both for your shotgun and the saddle itself.-Locktite the screws so they don't come loose-Cleaning the receiver surface THOROUGHLY with a solvent (isopropyl, acetone, etc) before installing the velcro. All in all, I'm very impressed with the product, can't beat it for being under 15 dollars.

Title: Great for the price on a Mossberg 930
Review: This side saddle is even better than I expected. It is made of lightweight aluminum, not steel as others have stated. The provided velcro is very strong and very stable. There is no perceptible wobble when pulling shells from the holder. It is very difficult to pull the holder straight off the gun, (which is good). It is much easier to slide a credit card in between the velcro to separate the halves. The shells are a bit difficult to slide in (they almost snap in over the rubber tube), but slide out quickly and smoothly and are retained very well. I have had zero problems with them falling out under recoil or slung over my back. The finish is matte anodized, not painted on and has held up very well so far. Time will tell on the durability, but I expect it to hold up well. My only concern would be the rubber tube part wearing out with use, but this probably can be replaced.

Title: Only you can decide if this is a good fit for your needs or not. Think about what you want this for.
Review: This is a nice solid metal carrier. It is well made and does its job well. If it fits your needs I recommend it. The biggest advantage this has over the shotgun saddles that bolt to the side of the shotgun is removing the potential of damaging your shotgun. If the metal version are used the bolts can loosen up while shooting. When the happens the mounting holes can become enlarged by recoil. If the holes become to badly damaged you may need expensive repairs or a new shotgun. Velcro like this uses at worst will stick and leave adhesive behind. It can do little if any real damage. The listing says "Purchase a couple side saddles and load them up with different types of shot shells". This only makes sense if you have 2 shotguns. You will not swap these out in a hurry or without using something like a credit card to separate the shell carrier from the shotgun. The question each potential buyer must answer is does this actually fit your needs?Details:You can use this with shells upside down or right side up.If you need 2, 4, or 6 shells in a relatively permanent mounting location this item is great. If you want to take this shell holder off to replace it with one or many more filled shell holders in a fast shooting scenario such as skeet shooting wanting to quickly swap this shell carrier with another one in the field this is the wrong item to buy.To get this off the velcro backing requires a lot of effort. I could not pull this off with my hands. Another reviewer said it required a credit card slid under this carrier to remove it. I found that a credit card was needed. Whether I pulled from the 2 shell side or the 4 shell side I could not get this off the backing. This is made with a dovetail joint. The extra flex from that joint feels awkward until the velcro is added. After installation it feels rock solid. This is irrelevant during actual use. There is no option but to clean your gun at least 2 times with alcohol wherever the velcro will glue on. A little oil or dirt can destroy all adhesion. I used 93% rubbing alcohol. The result after cleaning and installation is no adhesion problems at all. I did let it sit for a day before using to allow the adhesive time to hold. The velcro backing that goes on the shotgun will need to be cut to fit. Since every shotgun is made a bit differently in shape or size there is no way for a one size fits all product like this to fit your shotgun perfectly. Although you could just install the whole velcro backing piece it does not look right. It does not help you to have leftover material hanging off the top or bottom of the shotgun where nothing can attach to it.If you want to attach an extra 2, 4, or 6 shells to your shotgun in a carrier that will remain without wanting to take it off in the field this is a very nice option to consider. I have no complaints with this for what it is and how it must be used.If you want to use up your 6 extra shells, rip the shell carrier off, put another 6 shells in the same place you might want to get vinyl fabric shotgun cards (that do not look so nice) and a M16 magazine pouch to hold those shotgun cards instead of buying this shell carrier. Once you know your needs you can choose this an an excellent fit for your needs or maybe choose to buy nylon fabric shotgun cards that bend to allow easy removal instead.

Review: I use 3M high performance double sided tape to hold these and, after curing, I can't make them come off without a knife (this is a good thing). They're a tad loose on the shells so if you double load like me you may find with repeated fire that they start to slip a little. Still looking for a solution too this but otherwise it's much better than spending for the specific model for your gun. You can also decide to place it slightly differently if your action doesn't get in the way.Looks great on my pump and my Benelli M4.
