Title: I'm an ESL teacher and "Side by Side" is by far my favorite series of texts.
Review: I love this series for too many reasons to mention. I'll list a few.Lessons/Chapters are presented in an interesting (but not silly) way.My favorites are the "Plus" books -- essential grammar points at end of lesson, CD, reading comprehension, etcBooks 3 and 4 include written material that introduces basic material on citizenship exam.I teach ESL with no other books.One other essential book is an Oxford picture dictionary.

Review: Ive been a teacher for 20 years. This is my go-to book for teaching grammar. It's got blue boxes where you clearly see the new grammar point, then substitution exercises for learning the mechanics, finally, the teacher's guide gives a host of ideas for supplementary acivities to practice, books closed. If that's not enough, there's also a "games" book for each level with additional activities. Makes learning conversational and fun!

Review: This looks like a set of student's book & workbook: two ISBNs, 240 pages - but I received only a student's book. These work only together - otherwise you're doing a sloppy job. Please correct your product details. I've been using SBS since the 1990s and buying dozens of these books; please keep up the quality and I'll be happy to stay a happy ESL teacher / customer.
