Title: Fun and Worthwhile
Review: This is a very readable book that precisely and humorously addresses many aspects of online dating. It teaches skills, such as profile building and photo selection, but also delves into behavioral aspects of online dating with excellent advice, especially for those of us with limited experience. The book is not an exposition on gaming theory intended to give the reader competitive advantage in an online dating Thunderdome. It is the extended hand of a caring friend and teacher pointing out opportunities and pitfalls. I learned much more than expected from this book, including mistakes I have made in the past. I consider this book a very worthwhile expenditure of time and money and recommend it without reservation.

Title: I Loved This Book!
Review: Erika's book is very funny and informative. I laughed when she wrote "I heart scotch." I heart it, too! Even older folks never know when they are going to wind up divorced or widowed and want to post the perfect profile. Erika explains what not to do when posting a profile. She talks about how singles might have thought it was attractive when they wrote "if you're a cat lover, move right along." And the ones who posted generic things like "I love life." But what really stood out to me was when Erika discussed being yourself. And how "so what" if some folks don't like your profile. Like Erika said, they wouldn't be a good fit if they don't admire your qualities or share some of the same ones. Everyone should read this book.

Title: Amazing and Informative!
Review: Erika gives great advice on every aspect of online dating: setting up your profile, photos, messaging, date planning, and follow-ups. Her writing is very detail oriented and includes helpful examples of do's and do-not's. After reading her book and following her advice, I overhauled every aspect of my online dating profiles and how I was composing messages. Since then, I've seen a huge increase in the number of responses and dates. This isn't a book on composing fake pick-up strategies or treating dating as a 'game': she helps with standing out from the crowd and being confident and honest, while still being yourself and avoiding some of the common mistakes made. Highly recommend this book for anyone of any gender or orientation that wants to do online dating.

Title: It's Raining Men!
Review: Ettin has accomplished the impossible: a laugh-out-loud book that takes only an afternoon to read but provides invaluable strategies and transformative pratical advice for your online dating experience. What I loved most about this guide is how Ettin provides template-style examples for both the dreaded online dating profile and personal introductory messages, once someone's profile catches your eye. After that you don't need to commit time to back-and-forth messages, texts and phone calls: barring insurmountable geography, Ettin swears that it's time to just meet. Every message I've sent using Ettin's approach has received not only a near-immediate response but a request for a date! Whether you're a complete novice to online dating or looking for more success in the online dating world, this is the book for you: a quick, hilarious read by a charming but quirky guide that will set you on the path to true love in a matter of hours.

Title: Dating coach, heal thyself
Review: I totally missed that this book was published in 2014. The author might want to consider adding a few chapters that cover dating apps. The advice dispensed is fine, but there's nothing in the book I haven't read on other sites for free.I would also gently suggest she remove some of the personal dating stories she includes. For a dating coach, some of the things she did - like inviting a bunch of Match.com dates watch her sing then forcing them to sit around in a group and vie for her attention - reflect poorly on her. That and a couple other stories make her seem very unkind. It's clear she enjoys being the center of attention (who doesn't?) but it shouldn't be done at the expense of others. Most notable was that, after a decade plus since she first started online dating, she doesn't appear to have matured at all. She's still the same person she was 15 years ago, at the beginning of this book: critical, elitist, and self-absorbed. Her whole "thing" seems to be pointing out everybody else's failures (including her own client's) on Instagram to make herself look good. That's especially inappropriate considering she has no tangible dating success of her own (just the opposite) to justify her so-called "expertise."The only difference now is that she's hyper-defensive about still being single, something she needs to address within herself instead of taking it out on every guy that rejects her and her clients.
