Title: Super slippery medium sized griddle non-PFAS
Review: This is a medium sized griddle with a super slippery ceramic coating (at least initially). I made various sized pancakes from tiny tablespoon ones to ones that were over 8 inches across (the griddle only fits two of those) the griddle heats up quickly and I made these pancakes in between low and mid settings. I wish it had temperature settings. The pronged temperature controller is a little stiff to get in. The booklet says that this entire griddle (not including the temperature controller) can be dishwasher but it isn’t the recommended care method. I first rinsed down the griddle and I noticed that there is a small gap between the plate and the plastic housing - shown in my last picture. Water can get down in there and then you can tilt it and it can come out. This isn’t an issue if you then heat up the griddle to evaporate it, but if you don’t somehow get rid of the water it could fester. If you dishwash it, would the yucky water get in there? I’m too chicken to try it out. Plus I’ve never dishwashed an electrical appliance! Also, I could see that food could fall in that gap and I don’t think there is any way to get it out. There is a plastic warming drawer and grease trap. The plastic is a little thin but stays cool to the touch. The outside of the griddle also stays cool to the touch. The coating is very very slippery and I had no need for oil, although I did use a little at first. The surface is not level and is slightly tilted so that grease flows into the grease trap. This was a negative for me as when I poured some beaten eggs they wanted to flow towards the trap. Also when I put on some butter before the first pancakes that also immediately wanted to flow into the grease trap.In terms of performance, I felt that it was a little hotter towards the controller side, but I didn’t get any drastic differences in pancake browning when I made the giant pancakes. It does heat up rapidly.Overall this is a very non-stick griddle that doesn’t use PFAS, with a warming trap and grease tray and says is dishwasher safe which is unusual for a griddle. But the little gap along the side is my main concern if something can get in there. There is no way to clean in between the griddle plate and the plastic body.

Title: Uneven cook temp and hot spots
Review: One thing I appreciate about this product is the angled (L-shaped) AC power adapter, which provides a clean and convenient connection. However, I suspect minimal research and development went into the overall design, as it lacks critical functionality like evenly distributed heat, temperature control, and removable parts for easy cleaning. I have included a few photos to showcase how burnt the pancakes became on the below recommended temperature after just 45 seconds and that the temp control is labeled with words instead of actual temperatures. I also outlined key areas where the product falls short: 1. Inconsistent Heating Element: The heating element is unreliable, with the surface becoming excessively hot and struggling to maintain a stable temperature. The instructions suggest using medium heat for pancakes with a cooking time of 2-6 minutes, but this recommendation seems speculative rather than based on actual testing. 2. Uneven Cooking Surface: Hot spots are prevalent across the cooking area, making it nearly impossible to achieve even cooking. This imbalance significantly affects food quality and overall usability. 3. Poor Build Quality: The plastic housing often emits loud popping sounds during use, raising concerns about durability and whether the unit may crack or fail prematurely.

Title: Works well
Review: This would have easily been 4 stars but the electric griddle arrived cracked in several spots and it was packaged very well inside of the box that it came in. Anyway I have used this griddle several times and it works excellent its smaller than the previous one that I had but since that one broke and I had it for years I knew it was time to get another one. This griddle heats nicely and the warming tray keeps things nice and warm although it is pretty small so it's limited by how much you can put in the warmer. Overall I like it and it does a good job of cooking and keeping things warm would be great for someone with a small family or for a young adult who lives on their own.
