The Margarita. It’s the drink that puts the "happy" in happy hour. A beguiling elixir of tequila, citrus, and sweetness that’s guaranteed to go down easy—and put a smile on your face.
The Classic Margarita—perhaps named after Margarita Sames, or maybe Margarete, a descendent of Ponce de Leon, but do we really care?—is a delectable blend of tequila, simple syrup, Cointreau, and lime and lemon juices. But as cocktail designer extraordinaire Kim Haasarud proves in this fantastic little guide, the Classic is just the starting point for margarita bliss. Open the book, and you’ll discover 101 heavenly margarita recipes—one for every season, every mood, and every occasion.
All your favorite margarita variations are here. You can chill out with a frozen Strawberry Margarita. Get romantic with an exotic Passionfruit Margarita. Or "berry" yourself in the fruity delights of a delicious Raspberry Margarita. But Haasarud also gives you lots of new and exciting margarita choices. You can take a cocktail party to new heights with the sophisticated Sake Margarita. Tame fiery foods with the refreshing Sweet Ginger Margarita. Or finish off a meal with a divine Hazelnut Margarita or an espresso-infused Margarita du Café.
So invite some friends, get out your shaker, and ready the glasses. With a little help from this book, you’ll be in Margaritaville in no time.

Title: 101 Margaritas is My "Go To" Resource
Review: First off, I will agree with some other reviews that a table of contents would be very helpful. But for me, that is not a deal breaker, as the content itself is great! I have been making some of my own margaritas for quite some time, but after making some from this book, it has helped me to learn what my own recipes could use. Specifically, I now think that both lime and lemon juice are essential to most good margaritas.I have tried recipes from other books and online sites. The thing that sets this book apart is that it is clear that these recipes have been taste-tested. You would think that goes without saying, but it was pretty obvious that recipes from two other books I have tried could not have been taste tested, or if they were, then the testers must have TRULY oddball palettes, taste buds, whatever.I also like that you have recipes from simple to complex, specialty, etc. - a very wide range of choices. And all I have tried (about fifteen of them) were excellent.Cheers!

Title: That frozen concoction that helps me hang on.
Review: This is a fun book. Great design and style -- so very true to its subject. The structure is informal to be sure. There's no table of contents or index. The recipes are in no apparent order which would help you to efficiently find any one in particular. But, this book is a margarita for the eyes. The design, colors, type and photography all convey the feeling of cool, laid-back, just-a-little-bit-tipsy relaxation. Flipping through its pages makes me feel almost as good as drinking one of its prescribed creations. And, oh yea, there really are some exciting recipes and loads of them. I'm going to have a blast this summer trying them out.

Title: Interesting recipes, no table of contents/index.
Review: The recipes are fine. Shows how to make simple syrup from scratch and interesting margaritas. **BUT there is NO table of contents or index. You need to go through the book or mark the pages to find the pages.**

Title: A Margarita for any event
Review: I have owned the Margaritaville machine for some time now and have been in the mood to start experimenting with unique margarita recipes. The book starts off with some historical stories of where the margarita came from. It then goes on to describe the theory of salt vs sugar, as well as what types of Tequila would work best. I've never realized how many variations of a margarita can be made. I lean more towards the frozen margaritas due to owning the machine. So you have to experiment a little with the ratios.Try out recipe 32 the Strawberry Daiquirita. But get your date to sign a release form. This thing packs a wallop. I always believe a book is worthwhile if you gain at least one piece of information you incorporate into your life. This one has several, and I am no where near going through all the recipes. Why isn't there a margarita using Absinthe?

Review: Great recipe ideas for different Margaritas - have had fun with a few now. The classic Margarita recipe gave me the authentic taste I was looking for. Much better than searching the weird ideas that come up on line. Also bought classic Margarita glasses which add to the authenticity.

Review: The book I received arrived in a timely manner but is NOT in new condition. It is closer to Near Fine / Very Good â. There is a remainder mark in red felt pen on the upper outside edge of the pages and the back bottom-left of the dust cover is torn. The book content looks great so I will keep it for my own use. However, my intent was to gift this and I now need to purchase a true new copy.
