SLOW AND EASY
It's said that good things come to those who wait -- and that's certainly true for anyone who owns an electric crockery slow cooker.Working cooks and busy parents can relax. Most recipes just combine all the ingredients in the pot and let you simply walk away while dinner simmers throughout the day -- or overnight. Delicious family suppers become a snap with The Best Slow Cooker Cookbook Ever
Contemporary recipes include appetizers and snacks, soups and chowders, chilies and stews, chicken and meats, vegetables, side dishes, and condiments. Spanish Chicken with Olives, Spicy Pineapple pork Chili, and Apricot Glazed Chicken are just a few. There's a chapter that's "Mainly Meatless" and one that offers a sumptuous variety of desserts -- Chocolate Raspberry Strata, Berry Peach Cobbler,Lemon Cheesecake -- and hot drinks.

Title: Despite the book not showing up, the Seller insisted on giving me a refund!!!
Review: Maureen contacted me and told me she wanted to give me a refund. It was a small amount of money so I told it it wasn't worth it! She didn't listen to me (sometimes that's the best option!) and she sent it to me. In all my years of shopping on Amazon, I've had a small handful of items that never showed up, but never had a Seller insist on giving me a refund!!! What a concept!!! Great business practice Maureen!!!! Keep up the good work!!! And THANK YOU!!!!!

Title: Makes a great gift!
Review: I got the book as a gift. I use many of the recipes regularly. The binding makes it easy to use while cooking. I have given copies to those new to slow cooking with favorable feed back. The ratatouille is a must try.

Title: Good but does not serve the purpose of a slow cooker for me
Review: Although this book has some great recipies, I found that many of them took only 3-5 hours of cooking. The whole reason I use a slow cooker is to put everything into the pot before I leave for work and have it ready when I get back, at least 8 hours later. If the cooking time is 3 hours, the recipe is of no use to me.

Title: This book is a crock
Review: This book was a major disappointment. Among the 9 or so main dishes my wife and I have tried in this book, there was only one we really liked. Particularly aromatically putrid was the Normandy Chicken with Apples recipe, whose aroma was so nasty that when I came home from work and smelled it, I left again. The Beef Stew was like eating beef in water with red food coloring. My wife and I are avid cookbook users. We follow recipes faithfully, and usually we're pleased with the results. That was not the case here. I note that we did not try any of the recipies for appetizers and snacks, the soups and chowders, or the desserts. Perhaps this book redeems itself in those areas. As for the main dishes, try them at your own risk.

Title: Great Cookbook
Review: I love this cookbook! I was ordering another because my mom took the first one. If you want standard bland American fare then this cookbook is not for you. The dishes here reflect a diverse ethnic range with a variety of flavors and spices. Our family particularly enjoyed the pozole and tomatillo pork stew which is a different take on my chile verde but just as well loved. I highly recommend this book to those wanting to expand their crockpot cooking from boring to exciting!
