Title: first impression griddle
Review: I chose this griddle because of all the good reviews that it has, and the cost compared to the Blackstone (which seamed cheaply made for its price point). The reasons I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the following.Con:1. This is the second griddle I ordered. The first one was returned in transit2. Biggest problem was that there were no instructions in the box and nothing available online. Thankfully, I am pretty good at assembling without instructions and was able to put it together with pictures from amazon's page3. legs seem to be on the cheaper end, but I wasn't expecting too much for the price4. The igniter seams cheaper than the Blackstone, but does the jobPros:1. This feels much sturdier that the Blackstone that I saw at tractor supply. The lid feels solid and well-made as well as the griddle top.2. the grease tray is in front and is easily accessible.3. The griddle seams to be slightly thicker than the blackstoneI plan to season it and use it in the next week and will update my review based on how it performs.Update: I love cooking on this griddle. I watched a video on YouTube how to season it and it worked great. Took a little bit to get used to where to set the temperature though but now everything is turning out great. I would definitely recommend this griddle

Title: Cooks very well
Review: The steel griddle is thicker steel than others I looked at and is supported by braces underneath to lessen chance of warping the griddle; it cooks very evenly & was easy to season after I lightly sanded the surface. Assembly instructions were not clear & I had to re-assemble the base frame twice to get all the pieces in the right places; but construction is very sturdy. The regulator hose tank-connection came w/poor-quality threads, which kept slipping on the threaded bottle coupler when tightening and causing it to leak propane! Fortunately the hose from my old CharBroil grill fit and I was able to use that to enable safe operation of the griddle. Also, there are no gradation markings on the three burner control knobs (I.e,: 1,2,3,4; a, b, c; High, Med , Low), only a slightly tapered line. High heat is great, but the valves will not turn the burners very low, making a low cooking-surface temp impossible w/o turning the burner off. The position of the drain is very hard to direct oil & debris into, and would better be located along the front edge! The lined & closable top works great - except the shouldered hinge-bolts (which cannot be reversed in the shouldered holes) should be reversed, with smooth or carriage-heads so as not to restrict getting a spatula into the back corners! Also, it would be good if the two side/utility shelves could be folded down for storageâ¦â¦ Other than that, construction quality and appearance is very good.

Title: A solid gas griddle
Review: This is my first gas griddle and so there was a learning curve for me on cooking and grilling. I watched a few YouTube videos on prepping the griddle and what additional equipment I needed. Seasoning the griddle is very similar to seasoning an iron skillet and through the seasoning process I was able to see where the hot spots are on the griddle. For this particular griddle itâs primarily in the middle and I was proven correct when I first cooked on it. I learned a lot and after I was done for the night I came away satisfied and eager to cook some more. Not having cooked on the leading brands of gas griddles, I will say that this particular griddle is great and I think itâs just as good. My friend who has a Blackstone was impressed with the Char-Broil and even expressed envy of the cover, as his didnât come with one, and the location of the grease tray. Overall, he thought it was a good looking griddle and I have to agree. I like that there are side tables on either side and the included cover. I also like that the shelf below the griddle which is great for storage. I donât think I will hang my utensils off the side table at the risk of spilling grease on our concrete patio. I have decided to use a silicone mat on the side table to put them there while not in use.I assembled the griddle myself and although the griddle was the heaviest component I was able to lift and place it on the stand. It does help to have a helping hand but it can certainly be assembled by one person.I am thrilled to have gotten this griddle as it was a great replacement for my bbq grill.

Title: Cooks like crazy!
Review: Bad stuff first: the assembly instructions look like they were created by an IKEA drop out. The parts are not labeled although they are referred to by numbers. The chromed plastic knobs that are intended for tool hooks donât have a big enough lip to retain the tools. Thatâs it.When it comes to cooking, this thing is the bomb. I graduated from a gas grill. This heats up quickly and the surface easily reaches 500 degrees. I bought a Etekcity thermal reading thermometer for $21 from Amazon and it gives me the precise temperatures of each of the three burner areas. It sears the surface and forms a crisp crust quickly. This is a step up from open flame cooking. Make sure you season it like any cast iron cookware and nothing sticks.
