Pairing Method:

Title: Good Chromecast remote replacement
Review: Since we can't get the official remote replacement from Google store, as they do not have them in stock, we tried to see if this is going to work. It was a small gamble, as this is not very expensive item.When we got it, the first impression is that the navigation ring (circle) is a bit smaller. That will take a little time to adjust, but 2nd day, we forgot about it.It was a great surprise to see this remote pairing in less than 5 seconds. Instructions were simple, and everything worked - 100%.- Volume buttons work (some users complained)- power on/off works- Voice button for search etc also worksHope this little remote does not break at least for 1 yr - the original remote worked 3 years until it failed.

Title: Great replacement option, obviously not OEM but close enough
Review: So glad to have found this remote replacement option so quickly. Just moved into a new home and upon putting up our TCL Roku TV on a wall mount, we realized we could not find the remote control as it was not in the box marked "TV Stuff" and the remote app was having connectivity issues. So, hopped online and found this item with good reviews and figured I'd give it a shot. It arrived quickly and as described, it immediately worked for our TCL Roku TV, no special programming required. The remote itself if very similar in design to the OEM Roku remotes. The colors are close, the size is the same, there is a slight difference in weight (it feels lighter), it does not have an audio jack input on it as my other remotes do, and it is not a grippy rubbery plastic as the others are. It is smoother and therefore a bit more slippery in hand. Not as bad as the G1 OEM Roku remotes, but somewhere in between the old and new OEMs. I do miss the audio jack function as sometimes I prefer to listen to shows using earpods so as to not be distracted. But that's ok. It will do for now until I can find my original remote. So I definitely recommend it! Just wish it had an audio jack and wasn't so slippery.

Title: Worked exactly as advertised -- NO special setup required.
Review: Pictured is the new replacement remote (left) and my original remote that came with Insignia TV. I've had my Insignia TV for 10 years. As you can see nearly all of the original remote's controls are faded illegible, or completely gone, hence the need for the replacement. Considering the age of the original I was most concerned with compatibility and functionality.I removed the batteries from the old remote, inserted into the replacement, then pointed at the TV and voilà the TV turns on without issue. A quick walk around the other controls and everything works perfectly. Note that although the "quick" subscription channel buttons at the bottom of the original remote differ from the new remote (Netflix/Disney+/Hulu/sling) yet open's (or attempts to install) the appropriate streaming app.Wishlist: I wish there was a way to customize the "quick" subscription channel buttons, but I want to to emphasized that this is NOT a fault of the replacement remote as the original buttons could not be changed/reprogrammed either.Great experience - I can easily recommend this as a replacement product for Roku/Insignia original issue TV remotes.
