Title: Great replacement for the 9120
Review: When our home was built in 2016, the installed 6 First Alert # 9120's. One of the failed this month. I ordered 6 First Alert # SMI105-AC's as replacements, as they came with a ten year battery. Installation was quick as I only needed to twist, unplug the old ones, then snap these in. Both the mounting bases & wiring was identical. These also have a strong GREEN LED light to indicate the are functioning which is very easy to see, especially at night. (Had no idea which one of the old ones had failed so at 4 am I was climbing up the ladder the check each one until I found the culprit!)Very satisfied.

Review: We have old First Alert interconnected 9 volt battery backup smoke detectors throughout our house from about 15 years ago. As they have been going bad, I’ve been replacing them with this unit and they work seamlessly with the older units with the added benefit of not having to change batteries every 6 months.

Title: Your Home’s “Must Have” Upgrade
Review: Perfect choice for replacement, most people “forget / overlook” replacing of batteries in their smoke detectors and this newer wave of 10 year battery is the “must have”. For the money you’ll pay in 9V batteries over a 10 year span, you’ll save money by spending a little extra now on these. Easy install comes with everything you need to wire them together. Buy with confidence, this is the way to go to keep your family safe!

Title: so far, so good
Review: I received what I ordered. These have built in batteries with 10 year lifespan, so there is no need to replace batteries every year. I ordered 7 of these and the battery lifespan started within a couple months of my purchase date - I didn't receive anything old. The smoke alarms are all the same and easy to install. They have a third wire to use for networking.

Title: Pretty easy!
Review: I’m not exactly “handy,” so I felt somewhat intimidated about replacing all of my old smoke detectors, but it was long overdue. I watched a couple of YouTube videos, turned off the electricity to the house, and everything went easily. Love that it comes w 10-year sealed battery so I don’t have to replace batteries twice a year. Not a fan of ladders! And they’re not as ugly as some smoke detectors. And that’s saying something.
