The Women of SNL features a showcase of the incredibly talented women who have created some of the funniest and most memorable characters on Saturday Night Live throughout its rich history. Beginning with a Real Housewives parody, host Andy Cohen invites some of the women of SNL back to studio 8H for a comically charged reunion show with an honest “Housewives-style” tell-all that lets us know what they’ve been up to since being featured on Saturday Night Live. Then take a look back at some classic sketches such as Debbie Downer, Mary Katherine Gallagher, The Lawrence Welk Show, Oprah, Bronx Beat, and the Nerds, as well as guest appearances including Betty White, Lindsay Lohan, Candice Bergen, Christina Aguilera and Salma Hayek. You’ll also enjoy backstage stories and some of your favorite impressions that can only be seen here, including ones from the women who began it all: Gilda Radner, Laraine Newman, and Jane Curtin.

Title: These women are CRUCIAL!
Review: Why these women don't have their own individual special is criminal. Since they don't this is the next best thing! Of course i wish it was longer- could there ever be enough?

Title: The best of the best
Review: Itâs a shame that all of these women donât have their own best of SNL collections. Molly Shannon, Amy Poehler and Cheri Oteri do, but they all should. Still, though they all share the light with this collection, they all shine bright.

Title: Hilarious compilation
Review: This was a brilliantly put together compilation, I laughed the entire time. This would definitely make a great volume 2 as I feel a lot of the older stuff has been left out, and theres a lot more hilarious skits from 90s/00s. Also Victoria Jackson wasnt featured at all. And the one review saying Mary Gross deserved inclusion over Julia Loius Dreyfus, Julia only has one skit featured and Mary Gross is also in it. It doesn't bother me so much that the older stuff wasnt covered as much since the first 5 seasons are available on dvd and I also picked up the best of Gilda Radner. Otherwise the collection of clips was hilarious and featured plenty of Kristin Wiig and a lot of the late 90s/00s women, which were arguably some of the funniest women on the show. Molly Shannon, Ana Gasteyer, Cheri Oteri, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Rachel Dratch, and, Maya Rudolph. If you're a fan of any or all of those ladies, you will enjoy this dvd. There are a few moments in which they show clips of Gilda, Jane and Laraine as well with a bit of Nora Dunn but mostly the others. Theres also a featurette on the DVD interviewing the women about working on the show, I found it interesting. All in all well worth the money. NBC needs to create a volume 2. Along with best ofs for Andy Samberg and Kristin Wiig.

Title: ONE OF THE FUNNIEST SNL DISCS
Review: This Women of SNL disc, in my opinion, is one of funniest individual SNL disc offerings as well as the Best of Dana Carvey disc, which I also have among 12 other SNL discs. Among the skits in the Women of SNL disc, I particularly liked two skits where they played with slang words used for human body parts, and another skit where they refer often to a man whose name is similar in sound to a sexual act.

Title: Love the women of SNL -- Best Debbie Downer skit ever
Review: I had watched this special on television that celebrated the amazing cast of women who have appeared on SNL over the years. My personal favorite is Rachel Dratch, who has not been given her due against Kristen Wiig, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, etc. This contains the best Debbie Downer sketch where Rachel loses it and struggles to get through it. There are many wonderful sketches presented. Great DVD.

Title: The women of SNL are the best at their craft period
Review: The women of SNL are the best at their craft period! These are the women one would want to hang with just for the laughs and unique perspectives on life. Ana and Maya are easy on the eyes too.

Title: Really Funny!
Review: I decided to order this DVD after seeing this same SNL Special on MTV. I waited for it to come back on, and when it did and I got to see the episode all the way through I knew I had to own it. The DVD is a great collection of skits... HOWEVER, I was disappointed that many of the skit that were on the original episode on MTV, DID NOT make the cut for the DVD. Still a good over all purchase though.

Review: This collection of skits was hilarious and these women are so talented. I realize SNL has been around for many years but I could have done without some of the older material, it was definitely dated. I laughed so hard I cried. This was worth every penny and more!
