Title: Small but impressive
Review: It's a bit narrower than I expected, but as a backup to my large 28" gas powered blower it's exactly what we needed. It's more powerful than I expected.... with 6" of relatively heavy snow, it was able to clear snow on the driveway in one pass. It threw the snow a good 15 feet without difficulty. I can't speak for the longevity of the batteries because I used it more for areas that I couldn't get the larger blower into, and my driveway is approximately 100 ft long and two cars wide so I know it wouldn't make it without having to be charged multiple times. But it was able to clear and throw snow where my much larger more powerful gas two-stage couldn't fit, and didn't get clogged up where my larger unit was getting backed up.In an even more recent snow storm my 14-year-old daughter wanted to try it and was able to successfully clear 4-5" of snow safely and from about a 18x50-ft section of our driveway while I used the larger gas blower to get through the drift at the end of the driveway and the 200 feet of sidewalk we have, and she actually enjoyed using it because it's a lightweight and easy to maneuver.Update: it was able to easily clear 2" of heavy icy and wet snow on about 90% of my driveway before it became intermittent. Batteries were nearly drained ( and warm) and it would only run for short passes at that point. But for the price, size and ease of use I'd highly recommend this after using it for the 6" of relatively heavy snow when we first got it, and for the hard to shovel icy, wet snow we most recently received. The unit itself feels decently well built, although it's fairly lightweight and doesn't have the solid construction of an all-metal design. It can easily be pushed by anybody. The controls are fairly responsive. The only drawback is to adjust the height of the discharge chute you have to manually reach to the chute itself. You can control the left right motion with the control on the console but you cannot control the height without stopping the machine and going to the chute. For the price it's a fantastic package. It's nice to only have to press a button for startup without any fumes or smoke. If you have a smaller one or two car driveway, or live somewhere where you're not getting 6 Plus inches of snow on a regular basis this would be a great choice and it's very portable. I'm glad we have it as a backup to get to the tighter areas of our driveway and yard, but if I had to use it for the full driveway I know it's powerful enough to do so, even if I would have to recharge the batteries multiple times.

Title: I was quit disappointed the first time I used it, but I'm liking it better now
Review: This is my second snow blower. I sold the first one because it was just too big and difficult to maneuver. It was more than I needed. The Snowjoe was highly rated, much smaller and lighter than my first snow blower. I thought this would be great. After the first snow fall I came away very disappointed. The snow was really just slush. The Snowjoe did not do well with the slush. I spent more time clearing the slush out of the Snowjoe than actually clearing my driveway. The next snow fall was more of an actual snow storm with a couple inches of light snow. Again, I was disappointed. The Snowjoe didn't do very good with the light, fluffy snow. And then it just stopped. It started and stopped several times before I realized that the batteries were discharged. I still had about 1/3 of my driveway left to clear. I had to use the trusty snow shovel to finish.I now had reason to read the product listing more carefully. I found this snow blower should be able to clear about 370 square feet of driveway. Great, {Sarcasm}, this is less than half the size of my driveway. For the next snow storm I had a different plan for using the Snowjoe. I used my shovel to clear around the two cars I have to park in my driveway. Once finished with this task I then got out the Snowjoe to clear the remainder of the driveway. I also decided to push the Snowjoe much faster to make sure I finished the driveway before running out of charge in batteries. I was pleasantly surprised to be able to finish clearing the snow and still had about half the charge in the batteries. I was even more pleasantly surprised to find that the Snowjoe does a much better job of clearing the snow when pushed quickly. I think it helps to have more snow entering the auger faster. The snow is cleared better and is thrown further. After a couple of snowstorms I changed my plan of attack a little. I used the Snowjoe to get past the cars first, cleared the end of the driveway and then used the Snowjoe around the cars. I was able to clear all the snow before the battery charge was depleted!Somewhere in the middle of all this I looked at the product listing and then did some math. I wanted to know just how much runtime to expect. The product listing does not say. With the power rating of the motor I calculated the current draw for the motor. Using this current and the listed amp-hour rating for the two 24V batteries, I calculated the Snowjob should run about 19 minutes. I am somewhat confident in my calculations because I am an electrical engineer and I have been doing this sort of math for over 40 years.I did contemplate a larger, higher rated snow blower with a 56 volt battery. In reading about this carefully I found it was listed to run for only 27 minutes. I figured the difference was not worth the time, effort and cost for the other snowblower.Knowing how long the Snowjoe should run, and finding it throws the snow better, I will continue to push it kind of fast. I now understand this should be enough for my own driveway but I will not be able to help any of my neighbors without stopping to charge the batteries and drink some hot chocolate. Maybe I'll look into getting another set of high capacity batteries. But not this year. The assembly was very easy, no issues at all. It is nice that there is an included cover. So far I have only used it once, before it snowed. In the spring I'm sure I'll use it to keep the Snowjoe clean and ready for next winter. The included ice scraper is interesting. I haven't tried it yet.I still haven't had a deep snow storm. I don't know how the Snowjoe will do with deep snow.

Review: I wanted to use this cordless snow thrower a few times before submitting a review. The unit arrived quicker than expected and set up in under 10 minutes - basically just fold open the handle and add the rod for the discharge chute controller. I used the Snow Joe to clear 4-5 cm of very heavy slush with deeper from road plow passing. It did well on the driveway and struggled a bit on the deeper stuff, with chute blocking four times. Not a surprise and easy to clear with the attached tool. Battery lasted just over 20 minutes under hard load. Second snow of the season last night. 9cm to 15cm depending upon where I measured. 25cm range from plow. Again, heavy snow that started as rain. Same result as first time. It did cut out a few times in the deeper heavy snow. Simply pull it back and move forward at a slower pace. Battery lasted 20 minutes.I wasn’t expecting the power of a two stage gas blower and the Snow Joe doesn’t have it. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this Snow Joe unit. I’m looking forward to the usual fluffy snow as the temperature drops and anticipate the unit will be great. I will update my review if there are any surprises. A great little machine for the price.Update: 20cm/8” snowfall with drifting medium to light snow in excess of 30cm/12”. The SB18 did a great job of clearing. Given size of area I need to clear, I will be buying additional batteries now I know how well it works. Photos attached.

Review: This snow blower will be a major relief for your back and arms, and is a must-have. It may not be as powerful as some of the more expensive snow blowers but a little bit of pushing is all that's needed to take care of any snow removal job.For a standard driveway, this snow blower is great. It will handle a foot of snow no problem, even if it's snow from the day before. It comes with two batteries that when fully charged will have enough juice to handle a typical two-car driveway. The one scenario where this snow blower will struggle is when you have to clear the snow pile (those created by plow trucks) at the end of your driveway, which would usually comprise of compacted snow and chunks of ice. Some manual work would be required to soften things up a bit beforehand. The batteries will be fairly drained but still enough to clear most of your driveway. No complaints though, as it's still tremendously better 100% manual shoveling.Other notes:- assembly was really easy- it's very light (you can pick it up with one hand), but surprisingly powerful for its weight- the throw distance is quite good to start and progressively gets shorter, but not to the point that it would be a hindrance

Review: I bought this because I nearly did my back in after a winter storm in late January when my husband and son were away. I did a lot of research and this model seemed to have the best bang for the buck. I’ve only used it once, but it made short work of my decent size city driveway. I am a 5 foot 3 1/2 inch female and so size and weight was important to me. This machine is quite lightweight and easy to maneuver. The fact that it has wheels is very helpful, imagine a very lightweight lawnmower - that is what it is like to manoeuvre. The battery lasted for about 25 minutes, which was enough to do the job of the main part of the driveway and sidewalk. I pushed it through about 1 foot of snow and it had no problem. What is nice is you’re able to direct where the snow is blowing to reduce the amount of work created from blowing more snow in your path. I like the fact that it is cordless too - I do have an outlet at the front of my house, however, I can imagine it would be inconvenient to be constantly moving it out of the way. The freedom of the battery model is not having to dodge an extension cord. You have to make sure you clean it off afterwards and then store it somewhere dry - there is a cover for it but if you store it in your shed or garage, you don’t really need to use that. I would not recommend storing it outside, nor does the manufacturer so, if you’re buying this, make sure you have somewhere to store it in an area of around 2 ft.². Also, you need to keep your batteries indoors at room, temperature, not too hot and not too cold. There are comprehensive instructions that were quite easy to follow, and it was a cinch to set up, given that it was mostly already assembled. All in all, I was a little nervous to use it because I’ve never used a snowblower before. However, I have enjoyed my first use of it, and even my neighbour commented on the great job that it did. I am no longer intimidated by the idea of using a snowblower and I imagine after a few times I’ll really get the hang of it.My husband has always been adamant that he prefers to shovel, and that we do not need a snowblower for the size of our property, however, I have a feeling that he might change his mind after using this.Absolutely, no regrets here, so far! 🙏🏻

Review: This unit is indeed lightweight and we were super excited to use it. We unboxed it and ran it for a moment just to make sure it works. When the first snowfall finally came here, the unit ran for a few minutes and then stopped. The batteries have a full charge and it just simply refuses to turn on. The batteries also have a slight burning smell when charging that just isn't normal.Sent an email to support, no reply for a week. Finally called and waited on the phone for 40 minutes to get through and be told I need to destroy the unit, and send proof of it before they can send a lesser unit as a loan until the original one is in stock. I'm then expected to destroy the loaner and send picture proof before they send me the original unit when they have it available. I asked to confirm what she means and she said literally take a hammer to it, smash it, cut the cable for the battery charger, and return the batteries to a recycling center with proof and then they will process the exchange. Weird and wasteful in my opinion. I asked for this all in writing via email (I'm not DESTROYING something unless I have it in writing) and haven't heard back yet for several days. Feels like winter will be over before this is sorted.Awful customer service for a unit that's dead on arrival. We didn't get snow until after new years this year when we usually have some in November, so it took me past the Amazon return date to find out it's defective. Feels bad friends. Great to read that some people are happy with this unit. My opinion is you should buy something else because if there are issues, you're not a priority at all for this company. We will be looking into getting a higher end stage two Ego unit as this was a waste of time and money. Buy once, cry once. We'll probably just ask for the replacement of the unit when we finally hear back from them and look to gift it to family if it actually works.

Review: I wanted to review this product once I really use it to clean the snow. The product is easy to assemble and use but main issue is the battery, which last only for 20 to 25 min even after full charge. That does not helpful in snow/cold weather.I am from Kitchene, Canada, we have a snow storm on 12th Jan 2024, I used it to clear snow on next morning but just within 23 min it stopped working since battery died.On the other hand I would say it cleans fine for 20 min and cleans snow very well but battery life is the main issue of this product in my opinion.I would give 3 out of 5 star considering, easy to use, assemble and battery life.Thank you. 👍
