Ever get a little overwhelmed by trying to think of what to teach your team in practice?
Wish you had a book that was quick to read that doubled your confidence by pointing out the most important things to focus on with your team?
Want to learn the #1 thing to build the bond between you and a player that takes less than 5 seconds.
Ever have difficult players or parent(s) of a player and wish you knew the steps how to handle them in a way that is a win-win for both parties?
If any of these situations describe where you are at, you are not alone. Working with the directors of your club, managing the expectations of your players’ parents, and making an enjoyable experience for the players while also wanting to win is not an easy feat. I am impressed that you are taking up this sometimes thankless position as you are making a difference in your players’ lives, even if they do not verbally tell you.
As the coach, you are the leader of the team and should lead by example. The harder you work, the harder your team will work. There is not a perfect way to coach and it normally takes time to find the style that works best for you and motivates your players. This book will help you in that process.
This book is NOT intended to be a complete guide on coaching because if you have ever coached, you realize that everything to know could not be contained in one book. Other author’s tend to fill up their pages with coaching tips for various situations, but never really say which things to know are the most important and will make the biggest difference for your team. This book does exactly that. This book’s main aim is to point out and provide help with the most important areas for you, the coach, to succeed with your team. In an ideal world, you have an infinite amount of time to work with your players. However, we both know that you hardly get enough practices each year and the players’ attention spans can make the practices even more limited.
Therefore, this book details the most important 20% of coaching points to help you get 80% of the results. This book details various coaching styles, ways to get the team to respect you even more, and work hard for you. This book does not cover the technical aspects of soccer such as how to pass the ball, shoot properly, perform a foot skill. Other books in the Understand Soccer series have been created to cover those subjects and are also available on Amazon.com.
Outcomes of applying the facts in this book:
-Have the terrific feeling where you are working with your players’ parents instead of against them.
-Know the advantages and disadvantages of the major formations to ensure that you are using the best formation for your team to win.
-Understand the #1 technique to make sure all your advice is followed and not just heard, which is a major struggle for most coaches.
Why does learning these things matter?
Well, building your soccer knowledge grows your coaching confidence. Coaching-esteem is key for you, the coach, to build the belief in yourself to know how to handle the difficult situations that can arise when coaching.
It is time for your Soccer Coaching to reach the next level. Become the coach that changes every game from here on out and the coach whose team every player wants to be on. Pick up your copy today by clicking BUY NOW.

Title: New to Coaching and sports best beginner book you can get
Review: I am new to Coaching and to sports. Dylan's books saved me. His series are direct and to the point. It is a easy read and simple to follow. Before I became Head coach to my Son's Soccer Club i was so lost. I thought I would be appointed as a assistant coach so ai can learn the ropes and have a mentor in learning the sport Soccer and learn how to be an efficient coach so that I can lead my own team for spring season. We'll, because no one wanted to volunteer to be coach for our 4th - 8th grade Soccer team, I was promoted to Head coach immediately. The only thing that the rec club gave me was a roster of my players and their parent's contact information. My head was spinning as I was fumbling through different options on how do I learn all about soccer, how to be a coach, the rules of Soccer, how do I even lead my team during practice, and much more. After applying several filters on Amazon to find reading material that is better than purchasing a soccer for dummies book, I came across Dylan's collection of Understanding Soccer series.all the info I have read so far made a light bulb go off. I finally understood the game of Soccer and that built my confidence being a 1st time coach. Dylan's Soccer book series cover all aspects of Soccer from learning the game, being a coach, how to handle players & their parents too! Other books in his series breaks everything down Barney style too! The more additional books I read from this Author helps me build more confidence and not just improving my players but changing up practice to be more fun and structured for my players. If I could give him a higher rating I would in a heartbeat! I am not a person who likes reading books in general. However, with all the useful information I learn on each page convinced me to get the whole collection. I don't have a lot of time with my recreational non-competitive players. We meet 1x a week for 1 hour with game day being every Saturday morning. This is why his book works so well for me and my team but also make the best of the 1 hour 1x a week training practice time I have with my players. This book and all other books in his series that I have read or thumb through isn't only terrific and geared for coaches, but it is a great tool for parents/guardians and players as well. Especially, since it is a easy read that contains all important stuff only with all the stuff we don't necessarily need, players of all ages and parent's of all players can benefit from reading the 3 books i have so far. Will all mentioned above it will be an investment to collect the complete series so I have the full picture. Remember what I said at the beginning, these books are a fast easy read and to the point that I do have to purchase the following books from his Understanding Soccer Series: "Soccer Positions", "Soccer Dribbling & Foot Skills", "Soccer Defending", and "Soccer Shooting & Finishing", along with any other titles I may be missing. His series is affordable, he provides links that you can print and take with you to games to help stay organized and on topic. Overall, Thank you Dilan Joseph for keeping it simple and direct!

Title: Great Book to Help You Get Started. Defintely Recommend!
Review: After spending a couple of years watching well-intentioned but ill-equipped volunteers coach my kids' soccer teams, I decided it was time to get off the sidelines and see if I could do any better. I played soccer in middle school and high school but have never coached before. As a result, the only background on coaching that I have is from a player's perspective. I found Dylan's books on Amazon and decided to give this one a try.In short, I have to say the book is a bit different than what I was looking for and, to be honest, that was a very good thing. My initial instinct as a coach was to run out an find a set of practice plans and drills that I could use to make sure my players learn the basics and have a good time while doing so. While there is certainly some of that in this book, there is a whole lot more, too. The thing I like most is that the book gives you a really great framework for to build around and helps you identify the areas and activities that will lead to the most improvement. It also contains great tips for dealing with parents, problem players, a developing your style as a coach. I think this book will really help me avoid a lot of traps that I have seen other coaches fall into. I have already read the book twice and actually learned a lot more the second time. I highly recommend this book and also recommend the videos on the author's YouTube channel. They are a great combination.

Title: Itâs not bad, but there are better options
Review: This book is basically $9 worth of free advice. There is nothing in here that canât be found on the internet. That is not to say it is a poor book, only that it is very limited in its scope. If youâve never coached before, there is value in having this basic information in one spot and easily accessible. If you have a season or two under your belt, Iâd pass on this and explore other options depending on how serious youâre into coaching youth soccer.A few stray thoughts:- The formations in the final chapters only cover 11v11. If you coach younger ages in 5v5, 7v7, or 9v9, the up front portion of the book does have tips that are still applicable.- When I mention the book is simple, it really isâ¦I read cover to cover in about an hour, and Iâm no speed-reader.- Throughout the text, the author consistently tries to sell you his other books or content, which is fairly annoying, though a couple other authors are referenced in the book. The couple YouTube videos I did check out were basically word for word readings of passages from the actual bookâ¦see what I said about free advice?

Title: I read this multiple times.
Review: This was a good quick book to help me focus during my coaching season. I think sometimes I may lose the plot since I am only coaching rec soccer. It helped me send a letter before and after a season and also made me thing about what my goals where with the team. I opted to focus less on wins and losses and more on development. I rotated the kids probably too much to a fault but my heart was in giving them all a taste of what was required for each position. I also planned out each coaching session. Some worked out and some were a bit of a mess. A lot of the drills I had tried and never done before and also sometime wrangling kids is like herding cats. But the advice to plan the session was invaluable because it optimized the time. I only got them for 1 hour so it was critical they had maximum touches on the ball that hour.
