Over 20 years ago, our first bamboo cutting boards came from scraps from our handmade furniture we were selling at street festivals.

On a lark, we brought them to an art show we were exhibiting in. We were stunned when they sold in minutes. Joanne looked at Tom and said "this is our new product" and Totally Bamboo was born!

Review: ●▬▬▬▬๑۩ I HIGHLY RECOMEND ۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●I recently started replacing the rubber utensils in the kitchen with bamboo. Since I make a lot of soups in the clay pot cook wear, I needed a good ladle. This one totally surprised me.●▬▬▬▬๑۩ QUALITY ۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●VERY! The wood has a great weight, and it is nice and deep. Very smooth, well sanded. It holds a 1/2 cup of liquid.●▬▬▬▬๑۩ USE ۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●I easily scoop soups and stews out with this, it has a nice little side pour spout! At the end of dinner, I give it a quick hand wash and dry and put it away. Its worth taking care of. I haven't put mine in the dishwasher, but it cleans up so quick and easy, that you wouldn't need to. I use it every single night at this point.●▬▬▬▬๑۩ NOTE ۩๑▬▬▬▬▬●I would gift this without hesitation, its a beautiful addition to any kitchen. I love mine!

Title: Our favorite cooking and serving spoon
Review: My husband didn't think we needed to replace our old warped and melted plastic cooking spoon, but after using this bamboo spoon it's literally his favorite cooking utensil. We may never go back to using plastic or metal again. Unlike plastic spoons, we don't have to worry about it melting and chipping. And unlike metal, we don't have to worry about scratching our pots and pans.This bamboo spoon is also the perfect length. Not too long that it's difficult to handle and not too short that it would burn your hands while cooking. The bamboo itself is high quality and very beautiful. We've had it for several months and it hasn't changed in any way. And unlike other wooden utensils, it hasn't split at all. It also has a little hole at the end of its handle so you can conveniently hang it near your cooking station.

Title: Better than my silicone one for getting under food to flip!
Review: I got all the utensils in this line (I think) for use in my enameled cookware, but when I had occasion to use this one, it was with one of my cast iron pans.These are hefty and sturdy, and I didn't think it would be able to get underneath the food. But it did, and beautifully so. I've cooked the same thing before and used my silicone flipper, and the thing fell apart or broke apart. If I'm not mistaken, the silicone spatula is thinner than this by far. I'm not sure what made it work so well, but it did! Maybe the rigidity, maybe the angle . . .In any case, I'm so glad I bought this and had it on hand!I didn't rate the durability, because I just got it, just used it for the first time, and haven't washed it yet. I'll update in six months or so if I remember to do so. But all in all, I'm glad to have invested in this!One word to the wise: If you're like me and can't always visualize the size of something by looking at the specs, these are BIG. Someone with small hands might find them a bit awkward to work with.

Title: Nice but splitting apart
Review: I purchased the Totally Bamboo Pasta Server and Angled Spatula in about 9 months ago. I really liked both of them as they seemed sturdy, looked good and served their purpose. Unfortunately in less than a year both utensils have started to split apart. As of this writing both are still usable but I expect strips will begin to fall off of each within the next 2-3 months. I usually hand wash them but sometimes they have gone onto the dishwasher.Oh well, took a chance and this gamble didn't pay off.

Title: Never expected a bamboo ladle to work so well
Review: I was given my first Totally Bamboo spoon. It was like, wow, it is strong, large and feels like it will last a lifetime. I am just impressed by this brand's bamboo 14" kitchen tool. I have bought several other tools from Totally Bamboo and have been equally impressed in the quality.

Review: Bought this for my wife last year and she hasn't hit me with it yet, so A+!Wooden spoons usually last us only a few years, which is fine - they're wood and don't cost much. Some people talk about maintaining your wooden spoons with some type of oil... blah blah blah. My only rule is to try to keep the thing from soaking in liquid for too long - that usually destroys them. I've had a few spoons like this that are made of strips of wood glued/pressed together - I really abused one of my previous spoons and it literally came apart at the seams! This one is still holding strong.This spoon has some sort of glossy coating to it that makes it look nice. After about a year the coating is starting to wear on the "spoon" end and the wood itself is showing a little wear, but still going strong.

Review: This ladle is exactly what we were looking for. We wanted to replace our plastic ladle with something eco-friendly, but didn't want to end up with a fragile, shallow utensil. This bamboo ladle fit the bill perfectly. It holds just as much liquid as our previous ladle, and is far more attractive and sturdy. Highly recommended!
