Title: Delicious, unique meals
Review: What a great little contraption. It is the mixture of two cornerstone American means - the hotdog and hamburger. My favorite part about this is how diverse you can make the "ham dog." You can go from beef to turkey to sausage and it will all work great. On top of that you can mix in cheeses, onions, peppers, mushrooms, just about anything! I have made some really creative meals with this ham dogger. As far as use, it is very simple. I was able to pick it up and use it without any need for instructions. In goes the meat and out pops a perfect "ham dog." I have only had issues with the "ham dog" breaking once and that was due to me overloading it with veggies.I will be buying this as gifts for others. I would recommend it in a heart beat. Buy this product, you won't regret it. 5/5

Title: Now I feel Like a Golf Pro eating a Hamburger Dog at the U.S. Open
Review: Since I saw and read how a little hot dog stand, that is inside the Olympic Golf Course, San Francisco, that plays the U.S. Open course, called Hot Dog Bill's Hamburger Stand is such a big hit with the golfers for over nearly 50 years, I thought I'd give it a try to recreate it.In one of the articles that I read, it said that members at Olympic could buy a meat mold, like the one at Hot Dog Bills in their Golf Pro shop, but when I went to their web page, I guess if you are a non-member you are not going to able to buy it.So the next best thing was to buy something like it here on Amazon. All I can say is, that it will take a little time to get use to it and to determine the right amount of ground beef to put into it so it doesn't over flow the tube, but after awhile I got the hang to it and was able to come up some hamburger dogs, like the ones that the Daughter that took over her father's business at Hot Dog Bills on the golf club makes and Boy! did they taste great!I seasoned them up with a little lawry's season salt, added some fresh cut onions and some Trader Joes organic ketchup, and I was forced to eat two! Ha Ha yes there was a gun to my head ha ha haYour Kids Will Love Um!Just make sure that you get the bigger, more sturdy type hot dog buns at the market as the ball park buns I used were just ok. On youtube , just type hamburger dog in search and or look up All-American Burger Dog!, still on Youtube with the fun teaching chef from foodwishes , who will show you how he cooks his and season it right. One of my friends that I cooked one up for is going to purchase one for his family, something for a nice change if you are going to do backyard BBQ's or picnics... also can be used on a fry pan (and it's dishwasher safe)All ready made a bunch up for today, the Labor Day HolidayUpdate: 9/7/12 For those who are thinking to buy this product because you either read or saw on TV re: "Hot Dog Bill's" Hot Dog Stand that sells "Hamburger Dogs", and was looking to find their exact mold, then go to hotdogbills dot com (sorry I had to spell out dot com in luie of .com as I notice that amazon does not allow web sites in their reviews, so I hope you get the drift?) I still love my Ham Dogger, as Hot Dog Bill's sell thier H.D. Mold for over $25.00 over $30.00 for tax and shipping, but at least you can go to thier web site and just look at it and see the difference on how they make their Hamburger Dogs.Hope you like this update?

Title: It's okay but I can make a better Ham-Dog without it
Review: I have been on a little bit of a hot dog kick lately and I decided to try this little gadget out. It seems cute and well made. I used 80/20 ground beef and sprayed the inside of the Ham Dogger with a non-stick spray. In order to keep the ham dog from falling apart I had to hand roll it into a cylinder before I put it in the mold. The ham dog shrunk quite a bit during cooking so if I had it to do over I might have used a 90/10 ground beef mix although the resulting ham dog would not have been as tasty as it was.My final conclusion is that, although this is an inexpensive, nifty little item, I can roll a better hot dog shaped hamburger with my own hands. I decided to make this little video so that you can judge for yourself. I hope that it is helpful to you.

Title: Ham Dogger Poor Design
Review: I bought 3 of them, one for myself and 2 for for my sons. We all have tried them and the design doesn't work. The meat in hot dog shape will not stay together when cooking. Used several types of hamburger with different fat ratings and they all fell apart while cooking. When trying to put cheese or any other type filler in the hot dog they are to small and don't hold enough meat to have room for even finely shredded cheese to let the meat cover the cheese. Therefore it makes the ground meat fall apart before putting them on to cook. The meat sticks to the plastic unless the Ham Dogger is coated with cooking oil, makes a real mess. The clean up of the Ham Dogger is very hard by hand, dish washer is the only option. I have the ham burger press made by Kitchen Art and is a very good design and works well.

Review: Hamdogged it up for Independence day. Only problem with this product is I wish the two pressing pieces had one slightly smaller tan the other so that it could fit inside the other to compress the meat a little better. A very nice product, excellent for making black bean veggie dogs as well.

Title: Ham Dogger Fails Kitchen Test
Review: While the idea is innovative it was not backed up with useful instructions, which tells you how to pack the contraption, but does not instruct how to prepare the meat. The pack instructions does not say whether to do so with cooked or raw ground beef/pork and then leaves the customer to figure out the rest for their imagination. It does provide some ideas and a list of packing foods with the ground meat. Recommend not to waste money on this product unless the above improvements are made. Totally disappointing for the price.

Title: Really unique way to make burgers.
Review: This looked kind of gimmicky , but the reviews by the other customers moved me to try it. One of the reviews aid they used plastic wrap. I had some waxed burger paper sheets, so I thought I'd try them. I put the paper in the bottom, and added the hamburg, Then I pressed the meat, and after removing the rolled meat just rolled the paper around the rest of the meat, and put them in the freezer on a tray. When they were frozen I then put them in a freezer bag, for later use. Try it, it's a nifty little item, and it does a great job.

Review: I took ground turkey and mixed it with taco seasoning, let it sit in the fridge for a bit. Then I rolled up 4 dogs topped with sliced green olives and rolled them all into pieces of foil. Cooked in the BBQ in the foil for a few minutes removed the foil and BBQ'd the until done. Topped with all the regular taco stuff what fun. I have also tried ground lamb with Greek seasoning and ground pork with maple bacon seasoning. I now have several rolled up in foil in the freezer ready for our next BBQ!. Can't wait.

Review: Thought it would be a useful gadget to use on my meat when I wanted to BBQ. Not so much. Used it twice. Realized I could shape my meat with my hands just as easily. My meat stuck the the plastic even with a bit of oil. My meat doesnât stick to my hands as bad even without the oil. Ended up tossing this hot dog shaper in the recycling bin. Save your money. Use your hands on you meat.

Review: It does form the meat into a hotdog shape but it is very :huge" in size. One pound of hamburger would only make about three.
Customers say
Customers like the quality, fun, and value of the meat. They mention it's fantastic, puts a fun different spin on dinner, and is a good value for money. However, some customers have issues with meat stickiness. Opinions are mixed on the ease of use, build quality, and ease of cleaning.
