The Squirrel Buster Plus is a deluxe truly squirrel-proof bird feeder. It holds 3 quarts/5.1 pounds of bird seed. It comes with a Free Cardinal Ring, but other accessories are also available.
Our largest-capacity model, the Squirrel Buster Plus squirrel-proof bird feeder is also our most popular.
Truly Squirrel-Proof: Openings in the shroud align with the feeding ports, providing birds access to the food. When a squirrel climbs onto the feeder, its weight automatically forces the shroud down, closing access to the ports. Squirrels and some large birds are foiled but not harmed in any way.
Pays for Itself in Saved Seed: Squirrels can no longer steal your wild bird seed. Over a short period of time this adds up to substantial savings that will pay for the purchase of your feeder.
Weight Adjustable: Patented weight adjustable spring mechanism controls how much weight the shroud will support allowing the birds to feed. Any additional weight will activate the closing mechanism.
Durable Construction: Crafted with UV-stabilized, chew-proof materials, ensuring the feeder withstands weather elements and squirrel damage for long-lasting outdoor use.

Title: Truly an exceptional bird feeder!
Review: It was very easy for me as woman to put together (no tools). Best part squirrels cannot sit here and do the buffet they were doing on the other feeder. They get the food that falls to the ground. The color is a nice green! This bird feeder is very high quality, and performs the way they say it will! It is 100% squirrel proof and it is saving us money due to this optimum performance!Filling the feeder is easy but does have a tad that comes out, easier to fill outside!

Title: Finally a truely squirrel proof feeder!!
Review: I have purchased this feeder about a week ago and I just love it. I'm back here to purchase 2 more. I live on 3 acres of wooded land and I have a ton of squirrels that have defeated every feeder I have ever tried. After a week they are still trying but they have not been able to beat this feeder! Easy to assemble, easy to fill and holds a lot of seed. After a week of heavy activity I still have 3/4 of the feeder still full.My woodpeckers are back and goldfinches which were a rarity are now a common site several times a day! I'm using the same high quality seed, but they just seem to like this feeder better. I thought they might be able to chew through the cylinder but so far so good. That this is covered for life makes it a worthwhile investment. I just wish I would have gotten one sooner...I would have saved a fortune in bird seed.I've never been cheap on my feeders...always getting the best of what I thought was available and this feeder is actually less expensive then the last one they destroyed so I feel it is well worth the money. I have yet to take it apart, clean it and put it back together...I only do that once a month. If I find any issues with that I will update and lower my stars.I plan I purchasing several more for holiday gifts.UPDATE: I've had the feeder for about 4 months now. The squirrels gave up after about a month and don't go near it anymore. I found that as long as I clean the feeders every month or so, the seed stays dry even though I don't keep the feeder in a covered area like an overhang. CLEANING: it's important to clean these feeders or else mold will accumulate by the feeding holes and can harm the birds. I found disassembling the unit very easy and although it can go in the dishwasher, it cleans so fast with hot water I just do it by hand. I know this next warning is wasted on the guys but I will say it anyway: GO TO THE YOU TUBE VIDEO on how to disassemble before you try to clean this or I promise you will regret it. Even though I had watched the video once I still forgot the trick about sticking your fingers in the feeding holes to release the tube for cleaning (when you see the video you'll understand). Once taken apart it is a snap to clean and very easy to put back together. Just go the the Brome site or do a youtube seach on "How to clean a Brome birdfeeder". I can say I am more than happy with the money spent on this feeder, it was more than worth the price tag and I highly recommend it.UPDATE: well I've had the bird feeders for over a year now and they continue to work wonderfully. The squirrels have given up on them although occasionally they pop by to try to foil them but are unsuccessful. The birdfeeders remain in good working order and they are very easy to clean. These feeders are worth every penny I paid for them.

Title: Worth the Cost!
Review: This is by far the most well-designed bird feeder I have ever seen. The squirrels cannot get to the seed. I also love that you can order replacement parts if something breaks over time. The lid clicks into place, so squirrels can’t lift it, and the ports are metal, not plastic. You can also adjust the tension of the spring to allow for larger birds (blue jays, for example) to be able to land without closing the ports, if you would like. And as I write in stream-of-consiousness format (eye-roll), I also love that the hanger is a stiff piece of metal, not a chain or metal twisted rope - this means I can hang it on the overhang without having to use a step ladder.

Title: This is the perfect feeder
Review: I've had this feeder now for almost two years and it is perfect. Is it a little bit pricey? Yeah, but the older we get, the more we learn that you get what you pay for -- and here you are buying the best. You will never regret paying $100 for this because it is so good. (I covered half of my cost with Discover Card points so it only felt like I was paying $50, haha.)It's simple to put together. It constantly attracts all kinds of backyard birds here in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. Everyday visitors: house finches (constantly), cardinals (often), blue jays (often -- when it's cold or snowy), black capped chickadees (constant), tufted tit mouse (constant), various sparrows (constant), wren (often). Occasional starlings (bullies). Mourning doves hang out on the deck below with the squirrels and sparrows, waiting for dropped seeds and looking for the handfuls that I spread nearby on the deck. I only use black oil sunflower seeds. I don't see the need to complicate life and buy various mixes. These birds ALL love the black oil sunflower. I buy jumbo 40 pound bags at Home Depot and Walmart, around $25 per bag.I have the feeder suspended by a heavy gauge wire (like a coat hanger!) from an overhead trellis beam. No squirrel can slide down that wire to the feeder, and even if it does, their weight will simply close the feeding ports. So the squirrels gave up trying to climb on it long ago. They hang out below and find plenty of seeds. And I've been training them to come to my door where they will take a nut (walnut, pecan or raw peanut in the shell) from my hand -- the squirrels are as much a joy as the birds, so just feed them and don't hate on them! The feeder is super sturdy and it works like a charm. If you should ever have a problem with it, just call customer service and they will help you out, likely with no charge for replacement parts, should you ever need some. Shortly after I bought it, I thought that I could not fully relax the mechanism enough to close the feeding ports when a 4 ounce starling sits on a perch. It was right on the edge of closing. So customer service sent me a free replacement internal mechanism -- which, as it turns out, I have not yet needed to install.I see no reason to use the "cardinal ring." I never have. The cardinals might prefer it to sitting on a perch, but they're OK without the ring. I recommend you don't bother with it. But you might want to test it and see what you think. I also recommend screwing in the various perches to different lengths, to make it more difficult for the starlings to eat comfortably, hehehe. How long did it take the birds to initially "discover" this first ever feeder in my backyard? Two weeks. Do NOT worry if it seems like they'll never find it, because eventually they will.So there you go. That's my lengthy review. I love this feeder. It's the only one I'll ever want to own. If you buy it, you'll love it, too. P.S.: it is snowing now and I'm watching a frenzy of activity all day long at the feeder. Don't forget that when it's wintertime, and ESPECIALLY when it's snowing, that the birds really depend on you for food. ENJOY!

Review: This is a well made product that is easy to work with, survives the harshest of weather conditions, and does the job perfectly of reserving the seed for birds. I do recommend also getting the Brome weather shield attachment that protects the perch and the feed-holes from droppings and unusual weather situations. We get loads of snow, and the shield does a great job of keeping the feed-hole accessible... well worth the money.

Review: This feeder will be perfect this winter because it holds so much seed. It is very sturdy and the squirrels cannot get into it. It does not work for birds like the nuthatch which do not perch but I have a smaller Brome feeder that has screen on the outer surface so they will not be left out. Happy birds!!

Review: - Verarbeitung: Gut.
