Last Word is a race to have the final say! Each round, blurt out answers while racing a timer and the other players. For example, Subject: “Snack Foods,” Letter: “P.” Players yell out, “Potato Chips!” Peanuts!” “Popcorn!” The player with the Last Word before the timer sounds advances toward the finish. Recommended for 2 to 8 players, ages 14+. Contents include a game board, 8 pawns, 230 subject cards, 56 letter cards and an electronic randomized timer. (Batteries not included.)
Each round players blurt out answers to "Subject" and "Letter" combinations in a race to beat other players and get the last word before the buzzer!
How many "Things That Are Carried" can you name that start with "S"? Suitcase, scissors, snake, sandwich... Think you could get the last word?
Recommended for 2 to 8 players, ages 14+. It's a great family game!
Winner of 8 major awards and over 1.5 million sold.
Made in the USA.

Title: 2nd Edition is like the first
Review: We played the first Edition at my sister's and found it a good game for any number of people. I decided it would be a good addition to our game options but when I went to purchase one there was a big price difference between the first and second edition but nothing listed as to whether there was any changes between the two. I pleased to find no difference. It is a good party game as, like I said, any number can play (you can always add your own tokens if you need more). It also appeals to a wide variety of personalities and is fast moving. We found some general agreement is often needed to which answers actually fit the categories but we did not have any issues with that (more competitive players may get annoyed by it). Younger players maybe at a disadvantage to players with larger vocabularies and more experiences.

Title: A fun game for quick thinkers, but not recommended for children
Review: This game tests your vocabulary and creative thinking as you try to conjure up words that start with a certain letter in a designated category. For instance, if you get something like, âThings you throw,â you could say, âTantrumsâ if the letter is T for that round. The buzzer sounds to end the turn, sometimes after just a few seconds. The random factor adds to the intensity, though I do wish you could adjust it to short, medium, and long intervals based on how you want to play. Even though the game doesnât provide any dirty categories, save for a few involving alcohol (like âCocktailsâ), the buzzer goes too fast for little ones with limited vocabularies. Heck, sometimes my family of adults can only come up with one word before the buzzer sounds. I should also point out that itâs VERY easy to accidentally leave the buzzer turned on after packing it away, in which case youâll end up wasting the AAA batteries inside it. Then you have to uncover them using a Phillips screwdriver.Due to how short buzzer intervals are, Iâd recommend not using the âHot Potatoâ rule. With this rule, certain letter cards force people to go one-by-one in a circle when calling out answers. Getting enough answers among everyone to actually go in a full circle around all the players is just about impossible, so itâs not really to your advantage to give the first answer in a Hot Potato round. My family just treats Hot Potato letter cards as normal cards.Still, this game is a fun challenge as you try to conjure up fitting words as quickly as you can. It can also provide some laughs. For instance, in my family, the category was âCleaning Suppliesâ and the letter was âW,â so my dad called out, âWives!â That turned out interesting. If youâre in the mood for some sharp, quick thinking and some laughs, this game can meet your need.

Title: Quality Time and Lots of Laughs!
Review: When selecting games to buy, I opted to purchase this game because it really makes you think. This was my way of finding a way to interact with my child rather than being passively entertained by television and game systems. This game is fun, fast, and can be played anywhere. The category cards can be used alone so it can be easily played on road trips or at dinner. We don't bother using the timer most times because we really want to keep the game going.I'm glad I purchased this game. It's better than spending money on an electronic game because it encourages interaction with the family, provokes thought, and generates loads of laughs!

Title: Fun group game
Review: This is a fun game. I bought it because I had played it at camp. I have not found anyone who wants to play it now that I bought it and have it at home. I will keep trying.

Review: Super challenging. This'd be great for many different age groups. This is good for getting even those reluctant dinner guests or family members to participate. They'll be chiming in from across the room in no time. My husband and I enjoy a few rounds of this, with two people it's challenging, but with three or more players, it feels very spontaneous. Great product, I'd definitely recommend as a party game.

Review: Super fun and it came perfectly packaged! Highly recommend this game because it is quick and fun. There is not a lot of setup and there's a huge variety of subject cards so you never get bored! I first played this game at my university game night. Ever since, I've been looking in stores to purchase it, but I had no luck. Amazon is your best and stress-free way to purchase this item. Enjoy!

Review: Hilarious game 😉 The awkward things that come out of your mouth when trying to come up with words make this really fun. My tip, don't focus on the words having to make absolute sense to the answer. The weirder and more awkward the words you come up with, the more fun you'll have ;)This appears to be the second addition, which is a nice bonus.

Review: This is a good drinking game! The idea really is to say words in a subject with a particular letter as soon as possible and not get caught when the buzzer goes off. It does get boring pretty quick though, but for those who haven't played it, it's good for at least 1 night of fun.
