Title: Only option for steakhouse knives
Review: First, the only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is the price. It's very well built ... elegant, even ... but at nearly twice what a Wusthof goes for.But if you have thicker steak knives (1 inch or more) this is really the only viable choice. Virtually every block designed for steak knives limits the width of the blade at the base to about 7/8 inch. The only other options are blocks for regular kitchen knives, making them too tall (most nearly twice the length of the blade).In my kitchen, counter space is at a premium. I have my other knife block on a shelf over the stove. a 9+ inch tall block just won't work. This one is perfect.

Review: This is well built and sturdy. It sits up against my Shun knife block. The color match isn’t perfect but it’s close. That’s what you get with bamboo. It fits my longer steak knives and doesn’t feel like it would tip over.
