Title: Perfect size & weight. Excellent construction.
Review: I use this as a food press for everything except smashing hamburgers although I’m sure it does an excellent job at that too. It fits perfectly in a 12" sauté pan. I like to fillet chicken breasts and weigh them down with this press. Since the press covers most of the pan’s surface area, it keeps moisture in the pan and keeps chicken from getting too dry while maximizing browning. I bought this press for its size and weight which is bigger and heavier than most presses available to purchase. Its smooth, simple, clean design is perfect. Stainless steel requires no maintenance. Well engineered and constructed. Totally satisfied.

Title: This is the one
Review: This is absolutely the best burger press I've found. Stainless steel construction and heavy, at over 3 pounds. The disc is 3/16" thick, the handle supports are secured to the base by welds that are nearly invisible. The wood handle is configured so it is positioned both inside and above the supports. Good looking and superbly well made, it seems almost indestructable.

Title: Heavy duty
Review: It has enough weight to keep bacon flat or make smash burgers. The handle is good and only gets warm and not hot when using for cooking.It has a few small pits that I am monitoring to see if they start rusting through. It’s supposed to be stainless, but Chinese definitions of stainless appear to be different than my definition of stainless. A follow up review to be made in a couple of months. Stay tuned!

I waited to review this press, as I wanted to have an opportunity to have an informed opinion.Manucode Food Grade Stainless Steel Stainless Steel standard Grill Press product literature claims the product is manufactured to the SUS304 grade stainless steel specifications.The SUS304 grade classification is a Japanese national standard.**************************************************BUYER BEWARE: FOOD GRADE STAINLESS STEEL- PURCHASE CAUTION**I have only been able to discover that grades listed as “304” ( also listed as 18-8 stainless steel ), and “316” ( also listed as 18-10 stainless steel) are the real "food grade" stainless steel grades and USA Standards as outlined by FDA, ANSI and the NSF.I have been unable to verify if grades listed with alpha characters such as “SUS304” comply with "food grade" stainless steel grades and USA Standards as outlined by FDA, ANSI and the NSF.ADDITIONAL CAUTION:A manufacturer may claim that their Stainless Steel product is “Food Grade”, as laws currently stand, foreign manufacturers can claim anything.NOT to malign the “MANUCODE” brand, but they do not indelibly mark the Grade Stainless Steel on their products with regards to whether it complies with any USA Food Grade Standards or even that it is manufactured from Stainless Steel.It depends on the manufacturer and the pride the take in their company and their products.************************************************I bought this press for two basic reasons. Primarily I wanted to use this press to form and flatten hamburger patties.(Our family prefers hamburgers that are not too thick). I also wanted the press to produce flattened bacon, placing the press on the bacon as it cooks.This tool manufactured to high fabrication standards and is sturdy. The stainless steel is approximately 1/8” thick.It’s handle is solid wood and matches the high fabrication standards.Aside from the comments on the stainless steel standards which can affect overseas products industry wide, I am very pleased Manucode Stainless Steel Grill Press.
