Title: So Great I Bought a Second One!
Review: I originally bought the Bissell Powerfresh steam mop for my daughter for Christmas 2013. About 50% of her house has tile floors. She has 2 cats, 2 dogs, plus she lives on a horse farm so her tile gets pretty dirty. I actually enjoy cleaning (and having a clean house) but sadly, Daughter apparently did not inherit the "clean gene" from me. I thought having a steam mop might entice her to mop a little more often. In researching different steam mops, I was really impressed with the large number of very positive reviews for this model so I ordered it and 2 extra mop pads for her. After she opened it on Christmas, I was anxious to see how it worked! Her...not so much so I mopped her tile floors for her. I am not at all mechanical and have no patience for putting things together but I was able to assemble it in minutes with zero frustration. This little machine heats up quick and is really super easy to use! When you unplug it to move to another room, it does have to heat up again but it only takes seconds so there is basically no down time. Although the water reservoir is small, I only had to fill it twice in order to mop her laundry room, kitchen, hallway, 2 bathrooms, foyer, and the part of her dining room not covered by a rug. My only (minor) complaint is the water reservoir is made of slick plastic and it is a bit awkward to grasp (but not impossible) to remove for filling. I didn't really see the benefit of the little flip down scrubbie brush on the back because the mop cleaned the tile well enough on its own. (Neither the mop nor the scrubbie brush do much toward cleaning the grout but I pretty much knew that from the reviews I read prior to purchase. Fortunately, her grout is dark anyway so it doesn't really show the dirt--and I draw the line at getting down on my hands and knees to scrub HER grout with a toothbrush!) She and I both had a neutral opinion on the fragrance discs--didn't hate them but didn't love them either. To make a long review shorter, I loved this steam mop enough that I just bought one for myself to use on the minimal tile, some vinyl and laminate floors in my house. I was shocked how much dirt was on the mop pad after mopping the vinyl in my laundry room that I thought was relatively clean! (See photo.) The mop also steamed up old, dried paint splatters out of the nooks and crannies of that textured vinyl floor.Steam mops are generally not recommended for use on laminate floors and since my laminate is super sensitive to water anyway, I was extremely hesitant to use the steam mop on it. However, I did try it just to see what would happen. I selected the lowest steam setting and did a very quick pass over the laminate areas without any apparent problems. When the mop was not in use, I was also very careful not to set the wet mop pad down on the laminate which meant when I stopped mopping for any reason such as needing to move to a new outlet plug, I was left holding the mop up off the floor for every room of laminate, and this did get a little tiring. I'm not sure I will make a regular habit of cleaning my laminate floors with the steam mop due to the warping/buckling/swelling potential with the laminate but I might use it to clean them occasionally. However, it will definitely make cleaning my tile and vinyl a whole lot easier than mopping with a sponge mop like I have been doing for years! Five stars and two thumbs up to you, Bissell!Edited on 1/16/17 to add: THREE years later and BOTH steam mops are STILL WORKING GREAT! Daughter and I still LOVE them! (We only use distilled water in them and empty the water tank after each use.) Also, after using the mop repeatedly over the course of ownership, old dirty grout does look significantly cleaner.Edited on 7/21/17 to add: Finally, after 3.5 years, my mop died last week. (No power.) Since it was no longer covered under the 2 year manufacturer's warranty, my husband took it apart following an easy-to-follow YouTube video and diagnosed a bad thermal fuse. (This site will probably not allow me to post the link but you can find the video by searching "Bissell Steam Mop OPERATION/TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR" and the creator of the video is "electronicsNmore" **Note: If your mop is less than 2 years old, DO NOT attempt to repair it yourself. Call Bissell and have it replaced under the warranty! )We had difficulty finding the correct fuse sold individually but we have ordered a pack of 5 from Amazon for around $5. If that solves the problem, I will post an update with a link for the fuses. If not, I will not hesitate to purchase a new Powerfresh steam mop. Meanwhile, my daughter's mop, purchased about a month before mine, is still working great.Update on 8/2/17: Replacing the fuse on my 3.5 year old Powerfresh steam mop got it working again. This is the link for the fuse(s) husband bought. (He was only able to find the correct fuse in a multi-pack but at least the multi-pack wasn't expensive.)https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M6C2234/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1Update on 7/10/2020: Both my daughter's and my mop are STILL working -- more than 6.5 years after purchase! I just used my yesterday and it is still steaming like a champ. All I can say is, if you want the mop to last, use DISTILLED water and ONLY distilled water!Update on 9/13/2024 MOP STILL WORKS -- more than 10 years later! However, I did a stupid thing. I hung a towel on the handle while the mop was standing, the mop fell over and the handle broke. Fortunately, I have another Powerfresh steam mop I bought when the thermal fuse burned out on this mop back in 2017 (see 7/21/17 update) so I've been using that mop since IT STILL WORKS too! Daughter's mop, purchased in 2013 is also still working. My advice for making mop last: DISTILLED WATER ONLY, people. DO NOT substitute any other kind of water and DO NOT put anything else in the water tank, no matter how tempted you might be.

Title: Unbelievable cleaning results!
Review: This steam mop worked well beyond my expectations. We have a very large kitchen, hallway, and foyer area that has a textured ceramic tile. I have another Bissell hard cleaner that uses a detergent, and sucks up the dirty water. My old Bissell cleaner has no flexibly, and doesn't clean well under cabinets near the floor board. So I usually have to carry a scrub brush to get next to the floor trim. Because of time constraints and the noise of the old Bissell floor cleaner, cleaning of the floor was put off. I thought I wanted to do a good cleaning first with dirty water picked up before I used this Bissell Stem Mop.Since I generally don't have extra time for cleaning until evening, I finally decide to just use the Bissell Steam Mop to see what it could do. OH MY GOD!! I couldn't believe how this mop picked up the dirt. The ceramic floor that we have really doesn't show dirt. It is textured, and this can make it hard to get into the texture for cleaning. Again, generally I have to carry a scrub brush to get into the texture. Over time, there can also be a buildup of dirt where the tile meets the floor trim under the cabinets. This also usually needs a scrub brush. This baby got all of it without the need for a scrub brush. It even totally cleaned the area around our dog's bowls that accumulates drool and water that she doesn't keep in her mouth.Between the bathroom, large kitchen, hallway, and foyer areas, I had to fill the tank only twice. Cleaning the large area that I had to do, and considering that it had not had a good cleaning in a while, it took me about an hour to get everything sparkly clean. As for the fragrance discs, I like them. They add a nice fragrance to the room. My husband kidded me that I smelled nice, but I had to tell him that it was the floor. For us, the fragrance was light and fresh, and it smells good. I also like the fact that I can choose between steam levels even though I would used the highest levels for most of my floors. At this point, I am tempted to get rid of the big hard floor cleaner that we have. This Bissell Powerfresh Steam Mop did such a great job on our floors, and it is so much easier to use. With this cleaner, it will be so much easier to clean the floors more often. The heat of the steam killing bacteria is only a greater plus. I would highly recommend this steam mop for anyone.UPDATE 09/07/14:Since I bought this steam cleaner and was so sold on steam cleaning, I also bought the Shark Steam and Spray Steam Mop. So I thought I would add a comparison of the two. I really like both of them for different features which I will explain. - The Shark Steam and Spray does not have a steam setting, but the Bissell has settings for 3 levels of steam. Bissell wins! - The Bissell mop pads wrap around the holder, but the Shark pads attach flat to the mop. So the Bissell does a better job at cleaning against the edges. Bissell Wins! - The Bissell water reservoir can be removed for filling and emptying. The Shark is attached and not removable. So the Bissell is easier to fill and empty. Bissell Wins! - The Bissell supplies a constant supply of steam, and the Shark has to be "pumped" with the handle to supply steam. The constant steam of the Bissell saturates the pad more quickly so that drying takes a little longer, but having to pump the handle on the Shark to get a burst of steam can be a bit of a pain. The Shark still worked great, but I found that having to pump the handle to get steam was a little inconvenient. Bissell Wins Maybe! - The Bissell has a scrub brush that can be lowered for stubborn spots - the Shark doesn't have this feature. I initially found this to be useful on the textured ceramic floor, especially around my dogs feeding station, but this may not be a useful feature for everyone unless you happen to have dried on spots that are difficult to remove. Bissell Wins Maybe! - Shark included the use of a cleaner that can be used as needed in addition to the steam. The cleaner helps to remove spots that the steam doesn't remove completely on its own, and adds another level of cleaning. Shark Wins! - The cleaning head of the Shark is a bit smaller and gets into areas that the Bissell can't get into - like around a toilet. Shark Wins! - The "disposable SaniFiber" cleaning pads for the Shark are less expensive, and are actually washable and reusable. Shark Wins! All in all, I really like both machine, and would recommend both of them. If you want only one cleaner, the Bissell definitely has more features and conveniences, but the addition of the use of a cleaner may be attractive depending on the cleaning that you do.

Review: The delivery was done in India within a week but was total waste of my money ,the product is not getting switched on at all ,I tried contacting the seller but was of no use,I tried contacting bissell customer care and they replied that nothing can be done as the warranty clause does not work for India and no service centre is available in India...so I would request others not to waste their money on this product
