Title: Great and easy cooking. My favorite cookbook.
Review: I have tried a LOT of these recipes in the 13 years since I purchased it. I have loved almost every one! I also bought one for my son and most recently for my sister. Of course cutting and chopping some of the fresh vegetables and sometimes meat can take a little time, they are quick and easy to make. Because of the veggies it's a healthy choice for dinners. The book is divided into sections; pork, need, chicken, meatless, sides sausage........ It goes on. There are helpful tips or suggestions on every page. Some color photos to show done of the final dishes. There are some shrimp, fish and tofu recipes also. My very favorite cook book â¤ï¸. This one was a great value because I got a wonderful price on it.

Title: Perfect blend of easy and from-scratch
Review: Easy enough for an average cook, but still satisfyingly from scratch. Ever wonder what makes up that sauce you love at your favorite restaurant? Grab about 10 staple ingredients (rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, soy sauce, tamari, oyster sauce, etc.) and you can make anything on the menu. Who knew the secret to fried rice is the sesame oil? Nancie McDermott! Also has lots of great tips for working with unfamiliar ingredients.

Title: I Hope You Like Sugar
Review: I noted the comments about the saltiness of the recipes in this book before I bought it but thought I could just leave out the salt. Then when I received the book I saw that virtually all of the recipes that have salt in them also have soy sauce. Why on earth would anyone put both soy sauce (a salt substitute) AND salt into a stir fry? But not only do these recipes have salt, they also have sugar. Twenty seven of the 31 chicken recipes in the book have sugar in them, including one recipe with a whopping two tablespoons of granulated sugar! Even two thirds of the vegetarian dishes have sugar in them. The blurb about the author on the book cover describes her as an expert on Thai culture and cuisine, but based on these recipes I'm not buying it.

Title: There was so much great information about technique
Review: I originally checked this book out from my local library. There was so much great information about technique, ingredients and sauces I couldn't make enough notes! Bought the book and love it. Recipes are very simple (mostly) and the "Tip" feature anticipates questions that might arise. I have made several of these recipes already and all have been winners. Stir-fry fits in with our efforts to cut down on meat consumption, increase vegetable consumption and, in general, eat lighter.

Title: Shame on Nancie McDermott...
Review: I am a fan of Nancie, from other Thai cookbooks she wrote, but this one is just a waste of money. The only good thing: I bought it used.

Title: THE BEST STIR-FRY BOOK EVER!
Review: I love to cook and for someone like me, this book is definitely it. the recipes are great but above that, they give you ideas to be creative about you food. I love the little tips about substituting items when you don't have a particular ingredient at hand! Only problem is I wish it had more pictures, but oh well, can't have it all right?
