Title: Great for stock audio in a compact space
Review: UPDATE: 3 years later and still going strong. Now installed into a 21 kia soul and again it fills out the low end nicely. Even if it suddenly dies tomorrow it's been a great investment so far. NOTE I suspect blown units are a result of people cranking up bass boost. Don't do this. Keep it nearly off and get your desired sound via gain. The thing will rattle your rear view mirror but don't try to get more out of it or you'll kill it. It pairs well with 8 or even 10 Guage amp wiring.I don't know how this sub would work out with a more powerful aftermarket system, but I purposely bought it to give my 2018 Kia Soul's stock audio some bottom end. In my car it fit in nicely under my seat on some custom built PVC risers, and the instructions made it easy enough for a non-pro to install it and get it working. This is a huge upgrade over any stock system - the bass is not going to rattle your teeth, but you will feel and hear it. When tuned right it's punchy and extremely clear. It's a marked improvement over stock radio, or even stock subwoofers.Heat is not an issue - my seat has a AC vent under it that blows directly on the bottom side of the amp - it's barely warm to the touch after several hours of use.I don't know the durability - I've only had it in for two weeks, but it really sounds incredible for a $120 piece of audio equipment. I wasn't looking for hearing loss - just a significant sound quality upgrade.***IMPORTANT NOTE*** Actually tune the sub right. Bass Boost shouldn't really be touched here, set your gain correctly on the amp so it's loud but doesn't distort, and set the HPF correctly, and it'll sound great. Touch the 'Bass Boost' knob and you'll have muddy boomy bass.

Title: Shallow box, DEEP BASS!!!
Review: I mounted this on the back door of my '16 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited. There's not a whole lot of sound coming out of the four 6-1/2" speakers and I wanted to fill in what was missing. This Rockville RW10CA 10" sub did just that and some! At first when I hooked it up, there wasn't very much bass coming from it & it was kind of muted. But I guess after 2 days of using it, things started to break-in. Now, 4 days after the install, it hits surprisingly hard for such a shallow box, that I have to actually turn down the bass knob because there's just too much bass. My system is not loud but it is nice & full with crisp clean sound. In my opinion, this is the best option for a Jeep with such limited space. It truly made my system sound 1000% better! Well worth every penny plus some. Thank you Rockville for an awesome product!UPDATE!!!Ok so now it's been a few months, and the only thing that has changed is the bass. It has gotten to when my stereo is on the bass controll knob is set all the way down to the lowest setting. No issues whatsoever! This thing is still amazing with A LOT of bass! Installing on the back door of my Jeep took a little doing. The best way that I found was to use blind nuts & a blind nut setting tool that I got here on Amazon. It allows you to have a strong threaded hole in places with little access. It's simple and is rock solid.

Title: Not bad for the money
Review: I really like Basslink but it's too expensive for $1500 commuter. After several days of research, this here kept popping from various reviews as one of the best for the money subs.First thing when I received the box. It's heavy. heavy is good. Tell me all you want to, heavy sub sounds better. Has to have some mass to sound solid.I am not a big fan of metal enclosures - but it sounds pretty decent.I have it in 98 Grand Marquis trunk. I could have it sitting on the trunk shelf, it's right place for it, but I like using trunk volume as additional bass producing box. Have it mounted on 2 2x2, to create space between sub and floor. Gives better bass.Don't waste time on high input. Though cute and easier to install - you don't have to run cables from the head unit and it does turn on and off in Auto mode - sound is inferior. I believe, it picks up the entire spectrum of input from rear speakers, instead of dedicated low range only, what distorts and doe snot give good bass.I finally ran RCA cables from the head unit today - and it started sounding the way it should. I am still on original 98 door speakers, so sound from them was pretty crappy. This made very nice addition. I'll probably reset my Pioneer head unit to Network mode next, what eliminates rear speakers all together., so that they don't interfere with sound quality. Front doors will be replaced soon, I have 2 new coaxial polypro cone drivers coming. That should help with treble and mid range in the front, sub in the rear - enjoy g'ol Grand Marquis.Yes, this sub is well worth little money paid for it.

Review: I have a Ram 1500 so space for a sub is limited. I have been searching for a while and actually bought a different Low Profile sub on amazon from another seller. Within 10 seconds of turning it on, the sub blew up. I hadnt turned the gain or bass boost or anything up yet. Needless to say, i was dissappointed. I then had this sub show up in my items related to ones ive viewed so i looked into it. Little higher price than what i wanted, but i figured it would be worth it. Got the sub and it is extremely well built! Made of actual metal as opposed to plastic ones from competitors. Your not going to get window shattering bass out of this, but I was able to greatly improve the bass in the truck with this little 10" sub that fits perfectly under the rear seats. It also does just enough to lower the bass out of the door speakers, resulting in a cleaner sound overall! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a sub and is limited to space!

Review: Good sounding sub! With the correct crossover setup, this sub sounds huge for it's small size. Excellent when space is limited in the vehicle. Make sure to install this unit with at least 8 AWG power wire directly to the battery. I used 4 AWG and I get good solid hard hitting bass. Buy it! You will be surprised what this small package can produce.
