Title: Bass that will surprise you!
Review: I have owned two of these little subs now and LOVE it! After several years, my first one finally stopped working and I loved it so much I bought my second. Don't let the 10" size fool you! This lil booger thumps! In the audio world of performing musicians, Yamaha is renowned for their superior quality and sound reproduction. Seems that is also the case for their home audio products as well! The only negative thing I could say is minor: I wish it had a signal sensing on/off feature. I leave mine on at all times due to the power button being difficult for me to get to where I have my sub placed. It is my belief that that is what lead to my first unit giving out sooner than I would have liked for it to. But that was after YEARS of leaving it turned on. If you are looking for a sub you can feel to add to your surround sound that is top notch for the price, look no further! This is your unit!

Title: Great value
Review: Bought this to connect to a Bluesound Pulse Soundbar+. It really rounded out the sound. I was looking for simple, basically plug & play, and this unit fit the bill. Several reviews talk about no crossover, which is not an issue for me, as the Pulse+ has a built-in crossover at 80Hz. And the other thing that was a "knock" was no auto shut off, again, not an issue, soundbar is connected to the eARC port and shuts off and no single is being sent to the sub.As far as the sub, it absolutely does the job. Huge sound out of this unit, I have is set to around 3 (out of 10), anything higher rattles the room. I have some tweaks I can make on the soundbar's app (BluOs), but this really took a great soundbar and made it that much better. You won't be disappointed with this sub for a smaller to mid-size space.

Title: Good subwoofer
Review: It's an OK subwoofer for one of my smaller rooms to setup a 5.1 system.The frequency response is pretty flat till 30Hz. It provided enough power to fill the room and rattle floor a little.Opened and suppriesly found there was no sound absorbing padding at all. Given the power level the box does not have much vibrations or resonating which is another surprise. Will add some isolation materials late.Opened front cover, the speaker has just a usual paper cone. The pins were glued to the box. To take cover off need a little force. Be careful not to break it.Overall, the response curve is pretty flat. I used apps Frequency Generator and Spectroid to do a rough test.One thing, there is no auto on/off. I use a wifi AC plug to turn it on/off.

Title: More than enough!
Review: This sounds amazing. I only have it half volume, but it's awesome in my tiny space. It really makes the rest of the system come alive. I would say it's on the precise side, rather than muddy bass. I don't really hear it, but I can hear it's contribution when I turn it off, which I don't because that's sad. I love this thing. I was going to buy the smaller 8" sub, but when I went to order the price changed and it worked out to be a few dollars more for the bigger 10". Bought it used acceptable. I couldn't find any flaw.

Title: An easy and affordable upgrade
Review: I purchased this subwoofer after my other 8" sub got ruined after 20+ years of service. This was a noticeable upgrade all around. Obviously, a 10" sub is going to perform better than an 8" sub and this one does that in spades. Deep rich bass, and easy hook up. It looks pretty slick too.

Review: Bass is very deep. Before purchasing it, I was using taga harmony 506 v2 speakers. Even that has very good bass and I am sure that the amount of bass it delivers is enough for majority of the people. All I needed was a boost.So, I began to play some movies. I started with some ordinary drama movies, but didn't find any difference, it seemed that my taga was enough. Disappointed, I ran mad max fury road. I knew this is the movie that could really test my woofer. All on a sudden, there was a huge blast of sound and everything changed. The beating of drums and the purr of blazing cars brought the cinematic effects that I badly needed. I could feel the bass. You know bass is sweet when it's not heard, but felt.In my small room, keeping the volume at 40% was enough. Like all other subwoofers, this one needs to have a decent bass encoded in the source material. Only then, it will sound pleasant. If the content does not have any good amount of lower frequency sounds, you still can expect some bass from it by increasing the volume. The thing is that it won't be very pleasant to hear. I felt that this subwoofer is better for movies than music, don't know why. Probably my taga harmony speakers added to the cinematic experience while playing movies with multi channel audio.To get the best of it, you need to go to the settings of your receiver and set all the speekers to 'low'. Sometimes proper positioning of the subwoofer is needed to get the most out of it.Lastly, the product is quite heavy and well built. What I am using now is actually a replacement product, the first one sent was damaged at some corners, also the packaging was poor. The replacement is a new one with invoice and warranty card and now the packaging was also good. Surprisingly there was a tag with the word 'custompack' on it.Although at first impressions, the product seems to be well built with great audio quality, I'm a bit apprehensive about its long-term reliability given my past experience with yamaha products. Fortunately, yamaha authorized service centers are to be found in almost all major cities.Although this is a budget category product, but I feel the price could have been a bit lower. Still, regarding performance, there's nothing to complain, performance wise it's a genuine 5 star.
