Title: 4 hours in the direct sunâ¦
Review: Love this plant based sunscreen face lotion! I have fair skin and unexpectedly sat outside in the full sun during a football game!! Thankfully I put this lotion on just like i have done everyday for the past 3 months since I purchased it. When I got back to our hotel room hours later I saw not one bit of a tan line on my face when I removed my sunglasses! Whew! So happy! Plus, this has a light citrus fragrance. Love this product!!

Title: Actually does not make me break out!
Review: My skin is so sensitive I almost gave up. But this one actually does not make me break out! And it smells delicious, like citrus. Skin did not burn over the summer using this while paddle boarding.

Title: no white cast, super moisturizing, dewy finish, citrus scent
Review: I have a shelf of sunscreens. I am trying to find the perfect sunscreen for daily use on my face. I happen to be fair skinned, so if it happens to have a white cast, it isn't too noticeable. But still, I'd like to not even have to worry about it. I also would prefer not to use chemical sunscreens. I often use those on my body, but for my face which is more sensitive- the physical (mineral) sunscreens is better for me. There is NO white cast with this, so definitely fine for darker skin tones if you are looking for a physical sunscreen. This sunscreen is nice. I hot days or days I know where I will be sweating a bit, I don't bother with my expensive skin care routine, since I am likely to sweat it off. This sunscreen offers some skin care goodies above and beyond non nano zinc oxide. So I feel like I am still doing something for my skin, including moisturizing it. According to description, it has antioxidant super plants:--Juanilama: anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-oxidant (87% more than vitamin E) properties, and--Fierillo: anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, skin healing, and antioxidant properties;plus..--Wakame Kelp: reinforce skin defenses again environment, etc--Tazman Pepper: reduces skin inflammation and redness, and--Arabica coffee oil: lubricates skin. regenerates hydrolipid barrier to promote hydration and skin repairing.Smells energizing- like a punch of citrus fruit. It lingers for a little while then seems to dissipate. I can get it near my eyes and they don't get irritated. Kinda surprised it is a strong scent for something that is likely to go on the face.Bottles says no synthetic colors, fragrances or unhealthy ingredients. "Fragrance" is vague here, and although maybe not synthetic, it should be cleared up as to what it is.The company says in answering one of the questions that the fragrance comes from essential oils- if so, they should list the essential oils used. I imagine it is a citrus blend, but essential oils are different than just listing "fragrance". It would be helpful to see exact oils used. Then in another question answered, it was not mentioned that essential oils are used to create fragrance, but that it would be naturally occurring from some of the other ingredients. Which is it? If it is the latter, then the company would be doing themselves a favor by taking the word fragrance out of the ingredient list since not only would it be redundant to keep it in there it could scare off people who are avoiding "fragrance" as a listed ingredient. A product can have a scent due to other ingredients used that have a naturally occurring scent .. and and still be fragrance free. If it is a matter of it being from essential oils.. then that should be listed as well- for better or worse- but at least it is transparent information. Some people have strong reactions to essential oils on their face, whether from scent or from the activity they have. Some dont have reaction. Yet Some have strong reactions to "fragrance" as an added ingredient. Normally I see "fragrance" on a bottle and choose something else, as it typically depicts synthetic, and if it isn't synthetic then it doesn't need to be listed generically as fragrance, but instead specifically as to what the fragrance is derived from.Anyway, I thought I would add that as I am sure there will be potential customers looking at the ingredient list and this may help them one way or another. I hope this review has been helpful to you. If I learn anything new, I will be sure to come back to update. Take care all :)List of ingredients:Water, Coco-Caprylate, Dicaprylyl Carbonate, Glycerin, Microcrystalline Cellulose, Lauryl Glucoside, Polyglyceryl-2 Dipolyhydroxystearate, Cetyl Alcohol, Coffea Arabica (Coffee) Seed Oil, Polyhydroxystearic Acid, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Phytic Acid, Arrabidaea Chica, Lippia Alba, Undaria Pinnatifida Extract, Ethyl Macadamiate, Tasmannia Lanceolata Fruit Extract, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Triethoxycaprylylsilane, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Fragrance, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin

Title: Quick and easy to apply, plus NO white cast on brown skin!
Review: Admittedly, I don't normally wear sunscreen (maybe for a rare day at the beach, but certainly not on a daily basis). However, upon getting my first tattoo, I learned that the sun is a tattoo's mortal enemy, so I did a ton of research on sunscreens to find a good brand that would be effective in preventing the premature fading of my ink (gotta protect my investment, y'know?). Many people recommend mineral sunscreen instead of chemical for tattoos, and since I'm Black / brown / African American, my main concern was choosing a product that wouldn't leave a white cast. After reading the reviews of countless products, I finally settled on trying Thrive (the SPF 30 Face Sunscreen), and after two months of using this product, I can confidently say I hit the jackpot on the first try.The consistency of this sunscreen is creamy (similar to that of a standard lotion), so it spreads very easily and is "absorbed" into/onto the skin within seconds. And the best part is, there is absolutely NO white cast -- I've attached photos of both my tattooed and non-tattooed forearms post-sunscreen application for reference. You can see that there a little shine on my tattoo (which I actually like), but otherwise no discoloration from the product. In hindsight I probably should have taken before-and-after photos for both arms, but just take my word for it: there's seriously no cast. Also, the product has a slight smell (kind of citrusy, like grapefruit), but it's not strong nor unpleasant and it doesn't linger. After being rubbed in, the product feels a little sticky as it dries, but it dries pretty quickly and then leaves the skin feeling smooth/normal.The only semi-con I have is that after applying and reapplying multiple times in a single day (like 3+ times), I've noticed some slight white flakiness (I'm thinking this is just product build-up, since the minerals in this sunscreen sit on top of your skin as opposed to being fully absorbed). However, this is not really a big deal to me, as the flakes can be wiped away, but if it were really noticeable or if I knew I would need to continue reapplying that day, I could probably just wash my arm off real quick with some soap and water, then dry and reapply to resolve the problem. As a final note, I'm not actually sure if this sunscreen is effective in providing sun protection. I don't get sunburnt, so I don't really have any way of knowing whether this product is fulfilling its intended purpose (I guess time will tell; for now I'll just keep an eye out for my ink fading). But assuming it is in fact working, I 100% recommend this product!

Title: moisturizing without being greasy
Review: I have tried 10 or more sunscreens to find one that works for my brown skin with yellow undertones - it has been a challenging and frustrating journey with many days not feeling comfortable in my skin, and my skin not "happy", due to a white cast, clogged pores, too many red undertones, flakiness, etc. I finally found a product from Denmark by Elizabeth Geirus that's so beautifully formulated, but it's hard to get, so I ventured out and bought Thrive, and so far I'm very pleased with it. It works great with my skin tone (Indian mix) and hydrates without clogging my pores.

Review: Good product. No white cast and greasiness. Good feel on the skin. Only thing to improve is the applicator pump - it doesn't dispense the product well.
