Title: yummy
Review: I almost didn't buy this book because I have quite a few other cookbooks geared for tacos; however, after receiving it and drooling over some of the recipes I am thrilled that I splurged and purchased it. There are more than just taco recipes in this book. All the recipes appear to be easy peasy and do not require exotic ingredients. I have already placed a couple of bookmarks on some of the recipes. This is definitely going to find a home in the bookcase for favorite cookbooks.

Title: Good variety of tacos
Review: Got as a gift for a friend. Good varieties of tacos and reasonable ingredients. They love the cookbook. The book itself has a really feel, almost like a coffee table book.

Title: Good recipes, but book was damaged
Review: Great little cookbook, but it came damaged in the shipping. That was disappointing.

Title: Easy due to ingredient list of processed items
Review: Recipe ingredients like bottled taco sauce, packaged taco seasoning, ramen noodles, Ortega salsa, Ortega tortillas , Ortega Black bean Salsa, Ortega fixed green chilis. When I buy a cookbook , I prefer to make things from raw ingredients not processed brand names items. This is more of an instructional guide to building meals from processed purchased items. Which will please some...but sadly not me or the friend I was creating a taco gift basket for. I will be sending it back.

Title:
Review: The vast majority of the recipes in this book are of the form "add X brand taco seasoning to meat" or "Using Y brand tortillas ...". I have no idea if these brands are commonly available in the US, but they're definitely not in Australia. The ones that aren't simple brand placements are either bland, trivial, generic. There's very little to inspire or show off the depth of Mexican cuisine.
