Title: High-quality kettle
Review: We use this kettle on an induction stovetop and have been very happy with its performance. It heats water quickly and the whistle is loud enough to hear anywhere in the house. It also looks attractive on our stove. The handle never gets so hot that I have to use a potholder to pick it up.

Title: A Thing of Beauty
Review: I am so in love with this kettle, it is gorgeous! Now the handle does get hot. I just use a mitt to open the spout and to hold the handle. I love things made in Germany, they are so well made.

Title: Nice Kettle But Handle Gets Too Hot To Handle Withour Protection
Review: Excellent kettle, but a bit on the expensive side. It is well made from high-quality stainless-steel material and heats water very quickly. The kettle itself looks great and comes with a nice polished finished. The whistle is loud enough to hear, and it is not too irritating of sound. As for the handle not getting hot like we have read in other reviews, it sure not the case with ours – the handle gets hot, and we must use a silicon pad to prevent getting burned (4 stars because of this). Still, we are satisfied with the performance of this item as of the date of this review.

Title: THE BEST AT A GREAT PRICE
Review: After owning a couple of different units and countless hours of reading reviews, we've had this kettle for a couple of months of intense use and a big natural gas flame and it's perfect. 100% bright stainless. No sign of corrosion anywhere inside or out. No weird noises while heatiing. Pours perfectly without leaking. Easy lid to remove while hot even without tilting the handle - which it can do. Whistle is easy to flip on and off even when hot - if you flip it fast. The handle is all stainless as well and whereas it does heat up, it's not the nuclear heat of a thousand suns that other reviews mention. Just a thin hot pad or sweat shirt sleeve pulled down will suffice. But even the supposedly insulated handles need a pad if the kettle is at its hottest on a big gas burner.Ergonomically it functions well, the hand position being natural as you pour. And the stiffening rings around the sides of the unit help to guage the amount of water you've filled. If you've been driven almost crazy by reviews, to the point of considering a $2-300 kettle, look no further. this one does it all perfectly AND it looks great. It's required no maintenance to keep it clean.PS. After our last kettle dyed, we tried the switch to electric. This was really a silly experiment, requiring even more research almost fruitlessly. Result was in discovering that almost all electric kettles have inner parts of plastic. Most have many other problems. The only great kettle we found was the legendary Stagg EKG at $160. This was great, but delivered a few ozs of water less than my pour-over with the Clever unit required. Hard as it was to tear ourselves from the copious amouts of functional and aesthetic features, it had to go. That brings us to the Gipfel - by no means a jip!

Title: Excellent buy!
Review: This tea kettle is exceptionally well made, has a loud whistle, and the handle or the lid do not get hot with heat transfer. If you want an excellent quality kettle then this is definitely the one for you! I love it when I spend my money on quality, and the quality is even better than I would have thought. A++

Title: Great!
Review: If you are worried about picking up a steaming teapot because you may have carpal tunnel or wrist issues, this kettle is manageable. I also like it has a whistle. It’s excellent quality.

Title: TERRIBLE AND DANGEROUS DESIGN
Review: Purchased at my wife's insistence on Prime Day. Was lighter weight and not as well designed as I otherwise thought it would be given it's being promoted as a kettle of German Design & Quality with an ergonomically designed handle. Well, what they forgot to do was design the handle from getting hot when heating water, which I found out the hard way on my first use. All they had to do was keep the handle cool, even throw in a silicon pad or something! We're now outside the Free Return window and stuck with this over-priced, over-hyped tea kettle. Our previous kettle, a $25 BB&B special, lasted 20 years and never burned us once. Ugh...UPDATE:seller contacted me and issued a full refund. Just wish their product was as good as their product. Either way, we really appreciate the way they handled this situation.

Review: Great quality (design and build). Kettle lid can be removed after boil unlike le creseut kettle we returned. Easy to clean. Works great on hot plate and induction. Also light and easy/comfortable to pour. Have owned other kettles that are heavy and/or unbalanced making pour difficult. Can't fault it.

Review: Have been using this kettle for a couple of weeks now. Appears very well made, from polished 18/10 (grade 316) stainless steel. It is actually quite lightweight compared to the rather rusty Le Creuset kettle it replaces, but has a solid base and does not appear in any way flimsy; it is well engineered, and nicely fabricated. Works well on our induction stove. Handle stays very cool. Some reviewers commented on the whistle being quiet, but this was not our experience. Whistle starts out at a reasonable level, as you would want, but becomes ear piercing if you do not attend to it... as it should :-)Our only issue is that it is hard to see where the water level is, as the interior is also highly polished stainless and the water surface does not show up very clearly... but that is not a complaint, just an observation.International shipping to Australia was reasonably fast - around 7-10 days.Very happy.

Review: It is supposed to have a "cool handle". I have had to buy a pot holder as the handle gets Very Hot. They did not mention that the handle can move which I found very odd. Cannot understand why it was designed like that. It is definitely below the quality I had expected considering the price I paid.

Review: Kettle performs as described - whistle is loud enough without being annoying. Water heats within good time frame and handle does not get too hot to touch (using gas top stove).
