Title: This TV does work with Alexa but does not have an alexa built in; subscription is not required
Review: So I've read a lot of reviews about the TV not working with Alexa and people having to pay for it. I thought I'd maybe help clear up the confusion as your friendly neighborhood IT person after I leave my review. **I have absolutely no affiliation with Roku.**Review: Easy set up of the TV. Moderate difficulty set up for Alexa if you are not familiar with Alexa skills. Very fast menu. Easiest set up I've done to reconnect my netflix, hulu, etc. I do not subscribe to Roku services what so ever. Absolutely seemless transition from our old TV that our toddler decided he did not like. Additionally, the picture and sound quality are excellent. The homescreen is entirely customizeable which is fantastic! There are themes available also, but I believe those are for purchase. I haven't attempted those yet though. Overall, worth the price by far. Will likely by another. The vendor shipped very quickly. Highly impressed. Our postal carriers are the real MVPs.Roku does not require a subscription. The browser set up is far more straight forward with opting out than signing up on the tv you have purchased. I highly recommend you sign up via browser before beginning set up of the TV.ALEXA SET UPAgain, this TV does not have alexa built in. You will need an echo, echo dot, etc for it. They are like $15-30 max.1. Once you have your echo set up on your phone click on the "home tab" then select "Browse skills"2. Click the magnifying class search button at the top and search for "roku"; select the app with the bubble that has "Roku" in purple text3. Click Enable to Use. A browser tab will open. Click "Accept and Continue"4. You'll need to sign into your Roku account if it doesn't automatically sign you in.5. It will find the TV you set up. Click "Link to Alexa App"6. It will ask you to autolink new Roku Devices. Select your preference.7. Click "continue to alexa app"8. It will say "your roku accont has been successfully linked". Click close.9. It will search for your TV and can take a few minutes. After that you are all set to begin using voice commands.10. On your TV sign in with your account info you just set up, it will give you a pin. Go back to your browser11. Enter the pin that was on the TV.12. Continue on through your preferences. You do not have to subscribe to channels or enter into a subscription. it will ask you to set up a payment, but you will not be charged anything at anytime unless you opt in.May the odds be ever in your favor. xx- Your friendly neighborhood IT person

Title: Nice TV
Review: Very nice TV. Used in a master bathroom where I was concerned with humidity. Going on two or so years now and this works great.

Title: Great Picture & sound using just my mobile hotspot
Review: Wide Beautiful Lightweight Flat Screen with nice Clear picture. Good Volume and works perfectly with NO CABLE, just my mobile hot spot from my new android. It Arrived fast, in new condition and in a protective box.Setting up Netflix was fast but my Amazon prime was a real process but dont give up, chat with techs and they will help you, even lots of video assistance online. My wireless speakers are apparently not compatible, bummer. This is a good tv and great value.Do your research...I did and got exactly what they described. One unexpected snag was that the 4 screws provided do not fit this TV for mounting however,,, wall mount sold separately provides a wide selection of sizes.Be careful when purchasing separately sold wall mounts...unfortunately the wall mount we bought had to be attached sideways to accommodate our tv. Another wall mount may provide both horizontal and vertical options? Definitely a tiny warning. And dont forgetYou can turtle search on your remote but remember there is no browser on this Roku tv.

Title: Pretty good. Read for WiFi notes, mounting notes, and how there is NO subscription/activation fee!
Review: My notes on the Hisense 40H4F/40H4+: First off, I've seen several negative reviews by users complaining they had to pay for a Roku subscription or activation fee when setting up their TVs. Sadly, those people were scammed! There is even a page on Roku's site called "How do I protect myself from activation and technical support scams?" that explains this. If you need to create your Roku account and don't wish to get scammed, simply browse directly to roku.com- don't just blindly click the first Roku-related thing that pops up in search results. ONLY go to roku.com to create your account! We had trouble with this TV's Internet connection: Even though the WiFi signal was strong, the actual Internet connection speed was very slow. We often couldn't even download or open Roku apps, let alone actually watch something. When running the Connection Test under Network Settings, the "Internet Connection" step would either fail completely or report that the download speed was too slow for streaming. I have an ASUS-based wi-fi network in my home, and after doing some research I learned that a few of ASUS's default settings are known to cause problems with some streaming devices. In my router's settings, I went to Wireless > Professional and disabled the following settings for all three bands (you have to select each band and disable the same settings for each one): Airtime Fairness, Multi-user MIMO, 802.11ac Beamforming, and Universal Beamforming. After all the settings were applied, our Hisense TV gets perfectly acceptable download speeds (~30Mbps the last time I checked, whereas before this change, the highest I'd ever seen it was 3- and that's when it worked at all.)Finally, mounting weirdness: Before I bought this TV I am sure I had seen information saying that the TV used M4 mounting screws, but I am unable to find this info online now; it's possible Hisense or Amazon corrected this detail. Strangely, while the television actually requires the thicker M6 screws as currently listed in the spec sheet you can download from Hisense, the box included a bag of too-skinny M4 screws instead! (I wonder if earlier versions of this TV used the smaller screws?) In any case, I had to use the M6 screws that came with my TV mount, so be warned. Also, note that the mounting configuration is in the 100x200 formation, meaning the mounting hardware needs to be able to accommodate a rectangle formation that is 10cm across and 20cm down. Mounts that only allow for perfect square formations will not work. (It depends on where the screw holes are.) Also, when buying a mount, make sure you get one that includes M6 screws. I purchased the "PERLESMITH Universal Swivel TV Stand-Table Top TV Stand" from Amazon and it both supported the 100x200 formation and included enough screws to mount the TV.
