Review: This is a must have to your Tennis Coaching collection. His in-depth knowledge and skill set, broadens your understanding of the coaching methodologies. He also focused more away from the commonalities of tennis coaching books. This review is 2 years late since my purchase and the influence it had on my own coaching is beyond amazing. I'm still in seek of more books similar to this. If you are a serious coach and hungry to make yourself more valuable to the coaching market and of course to your students. Buy it! Thank You Edgar!

Review: First book with tactics description, analysis of proper types of players and how to play with them, how to recognize which player you are and how to improve your weakness and how to use your strong skills. I read many books but this one explains most of proper things.

Review: Me ha gustado que plantea ejercicios interesantes y conceptos tanto técnicos como de actitud. Además explica la vinculación entre las maneras de coger la raqueta y no tensar el brazo. En resume un libro bastante útil y con muchos recursos.

Review: Tennis coaches and players who are interested in competing will love this book. Highly experienced international tennis coach Edgar Giffenig shares his expertise in straight forward tennis language in a book which is full of insights and practical ideas. The accessible style of the book and the quality of advice means the book is not only suitable for coaches developing âHigh Performance Playersâ, but also valuable to all tennis coaches from Level 3.Built on a logical approach to teaching, there are sections on all the key aspects of game development including sound technical advice, however where the book really shines in my opinion is in covering tactics. As well as clear expanations of court dimensions and court positioning, there is an excellent section entitled âLaws of the battleâ. This section covers many tactical ârulesâ which are presented in simple bite-sized paragraphs which prove thought-provoking. These tactical rules are then integrated into game drills in both singles and doubles in the âDrills Libraryâ.Unlike many other books, it is clearly aimed at coaches as the title suggests and is full of tips and comments which all coaches will find interesting and thought provoking.I enjoyed reading the book very much and often found myself nodding (though I tried to limit this showing outwardly whilst reading!) , remembering drills and mentally noting the ideas it sparked. I would have no hesitation in recommmending this refreshingly well presented, comprehensive and highly relevant book. A âmust-readâ for tennis coaches.
