This Defender Security U 9947 Drawer and Cabinet Lock is designed for use with drawer cabinets and cabinet. Installation of this drawer and cabinet lock with key is quick and easy with only a few simple tools. Constructed of diecast and stamped steel materials, all components of these locks for cabinets come in a beautiful corrosion resistant brass plated finish. This small lock set features a beveled bolt and fits up to 7/8 inch thick panels. Title: Undeniable Value
Review: This (these) item(s) was/were a replacement to locks (2) on a roll-top desk. Although they were a good value, the only problem that I had was this lock was displayed as a single unit. Even though I was prepared to order 2 of them because I needed to replace 2 locks on my roll-top desk, when I selected this particular lock to purchase and was directed to the lock itself, the description page indicated that I could order a 2 pack, which is what I did assuming that I would receive 1 package with 2 locks and 1 set of keys, which would unlock both locks. Instead, I received 2 separate packages, each containing 1 lock and 1 set of keys that unlocked that lock only. Now I have 2 sets of keys, each set unlocking only one lock instead of both.

Review: I just needed a simple, and durable, lock for one of my desk drawers and it works perfectly. The thing is made out of metal brass and feels very durable. I did a stress and theft test, pulling and tugging on my drawer while it was locked and it ain't opening. Not unless I used a crow bar or something. Plus if you have a brown wooden cabinet like me, that golden metallic color looks really nice compared to a silver colored lock.
