INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author known for her “superb pacing, twisted characters, and captivating prose” (BuzzFeed), Lisa Jewell returns with a scintillating new psychological thriller about a woman who finds herself the subject of her own popular true crime podcast.
Celebrating her forty-fifth birthday at her local pub, popular podcaster Alix Summer crosses paths with an unassuming woman called Josie Fair. Josie, it turns out, is also celebrating her forty-fifth birthday. They are, in fact, birthday twins.
A few days later, Alix and Josie bump into each other again, this time outside Alix’s children’s school. Josie has been listening to Alix’s podcasts and thinks she might be an interesting subject for her series. She is, she tells Alix, on the cusp of great changes in her life.
Josie’s life appears to be strange and complicated, and although Alix finds her unsettling, she can’t quite resist the temptation to keep making the podcast. Slowly she starts to realize that Josie has been hiding some very dark secrets, and before she knows it, Josie has inveigled her way into Alix’s life—and into her home.
But, as quickly as she arrived, Josie disappears. Only then does Alix discover that Josie has left a terrible and terrifying legacy in her wake, and that Alix has become the subject of her own true crime podcast, with her life and her family’s lives under mortal threat.
Who is Josie Fair? And what has she done?

Title: Excellent read!
Review: Lisa Jewell has a masterful way of telling a,story with many twists and turns . This book dies not disappoint. There are many twists in this plot and as usual no one is entirely innocent. My only complaint is the way the story ends. Great read!!

Title: THIS HAD ME IN A CHOKKEHOLD
Review: 4.5âï¸ because there were some plot holes, but I ate this book up. It grabbed my attention from the beginning and I swear my jaw was on the ground multiple times while reading. I never knew where the book was headed or how it would end.

Title: Really, none of it is true!
Review: My head spun with this one! I couldn't put it down. Lisa truly captivates her readers with relatable characters who do unrelatable things. I was so enthralled I would give my husband a blow by blow of each twist I came across. Even he wanted to know how it ended. Said I am a lousy summarizer but appreciated the details at the same time. Guess you could say it was fun for the whole family!

Title: Unique psychological suspense story!
Review: Although at first, I was a little frustrated with the change in perspectives (Protagonists, Netflix documentary, and podcast recording excerpts) but I guess I can say I enjoyed it. It kept me turning pages as I wanted to get to the bottom of the mysterious Josie Fairâs life. This story is about two women who happen to go to the same pub on their birthday nights. Alix and Josie. Josie is transfixed with Alix and as the evening unfolds finds her in the restroom and introduces herself as âHi! I am your birthday twin!âAlix is a semi famous podcaster and decided to do a podcast about Josieâs life change (that she is going to begin). This is when the real story begins. The whole novel alternates from Josie, Alix ans the podcast interviews or excerpts from a (future) Netflix documentary based on the podcast.I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys psychological suspense novels.MINOR SPOILER ALERTS:The author initially has us thinking Josieâs husband Walter is a pedophilic control freak. However, the more Josie talked the more crazy we realize she is. Or, how damaged she is if the things she is saying are true. Then, of course we eventually get the truth.I loved the ending (Josieâs side of the story)

Title: Predictable, but good
Review: I recently started my reading journey and this was 2nd on the list. I give it probably 3.8/5 stars. Maybe I listen/watch too much crime documentaries, podcasts etc. The plot was good, but a little cliche. So much happens in the last like 80-100 pages. Easy read overall, took me about 3 days (again I am not an avid reader) .

Title: Put this psychological thriller at the top of your list!
Review: ⨠Ok, put this psychological thriller at the top of your list! â¨I started None of This Is True by Lisa Jewell at 11pm and couldnât put it down until 3:30am! ð± From the first page, I was hooked, and the twists and turns kept me guessing right up until the very end.The story follows Alix and Josie, two âbirthday twinsâ who meet on their 45th birthday. Their lives quickly become tangled when Josie becomes the subject of Alixâs podcast. What starts as a journey of self-reinvention turns into a gripping true crime tale. The character development is fantasticâboth Alix and Josie are unforgettable!ð If you love suspense, complex characters, and jaw-dropping twists, this oneâs for you! 10/10ð

Title: Surprisingly tense.
Review: Starts out like a story of the casual meeting of two housewives who have identical birthdays and begin a pod-cast about their lives, but gradually morphs into a story suggesting child molestation, theft, lies, assault, betrayal, addiction â¦. By whom? Gets nerve wracking, suspenseful.

Review: A brilliant story of two women, Alix and Josie, linked by having been born in the same day, in the same hospital, brought together on their birthdays 45 years later with tragic results. So beautifully written, drawing you in with every word, lineâ¦â¦.and truth or lie? So many twists and turns. Cleverly interspersed with excerpts from the recordings. Totally worth reading.
