Title: Versatile, High-Capacity Storage with USB-C Convenience
Review: The SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go 512GB is a perfect solution for anyone needing reliable and portable storage across different devices. With both USB Type-C and USB Type-A connectors, it's super easy to transfer files between my phone, tablet, and laptop, regardless of the port type. The dual functionality makes it ideal for people working across different platforms, from PCs to smartphones. The 512GB capacity provides plenty of space for photos, videos, and large files, and the USB 3.1 speeds are fast, allowing for quick transfers without any lag. Itâs great for backing up data or simply carrying around important files. The slim, swivel design is compact and protects the connectors when not in use, which makes it super convenient to toss in a bag or even your pocket without worrying about damage.Overall, the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Go offers a great combination of high-capacity storage, speed, and versatility. It's an excellent investment for anyone needing reliable, cross-device storage.

Title: Very good portable flash drive solution
Review: This works both on macOS (Yosemite all the way up to Sonoma) and Windows (10, 11). I am able to easily transfer and work with (print, edit) files on this flash drive no matter which system I am using. I have also used this drive while plugged into my iPhone 15 and it works just fine. Using the Files app and browsing to the flash drive, I can see and open the files on it with no problem. The entire device itself is quite small and portable, so it fits in any pocket, pouch, or on any keychain without taking up a lot of space. While I have only been using it for a short while (three weeks), it has always been available and reliable, with no hiccups or complaints from either Windows or macOS about the drive not being visible/readable/ready.The only reason this is not a 5-star item is the physical design. I like that you can have either side/connector (USB-A or USB-C) out/open by spinning the flash drive, but that also means that whichever side is out is exposed. This device DOES NOT come with any kind of dust/protective cover for either connector. For that matter, the side that is not exposed isn't exceedingly well protected either, but it is better than nothing. I would like it if the device came with protective caps for the connectors or allowed you to control exposure of the connector ends.Shy of that one issue (lack of dust covers for connectors), this is a very good flash drive.

Title: Great and convient!
Review: Iâve been using the SanDisk 128GB Ultra Dual Drive Go USB Type-C Flash Drive for a while now, and Iâm really impressed! The compact size makes it incredibly portable, and the swivel cover is a great design feature. Itâs so convenient to flip the cover out of the way when I need it, and I donât have to worry about losing a cap. Iâve tried other flash drives that slide up and down, but they tend to break too easily. This one feels much sturdier and reliable.

Title: Product work well!
Review: This thumb drive works as should as a USB -C and USB-A. Just be aware that it is not of the highest read/write speeds, but works well. It is exFAT format, so you will need to reformat it to FAT32 if you want to use it to play music in your car.

Title: Not what I expected
Review: Itâs that time of year again when the new iphone is introduced and like a lemming I placed my order withing seconds and now I just got one of the first batch, the new pro max model. While I admire the convenience of just saying yes a few times and having the new phone replicate everything in my old one, which is being traded in, this year is a little different. It has some major changes to the operating system and I decided to start fresh with the tedious task of reinstalling everything. That task can have its dangers though and Iâve spent all morning trying to do a backup to my Macbook and it didnât go well. So backing up to an external drive seemed even safer, if it worked as I hoped.WHY SANDISKAs soon as I started shopping my eyes started to glaze over, there were pages and pages of thumb drives and for some inexplicable reason most of them still had lightning connectors, which means I would have to use a chancy adapter. I donât get it, we are at least a couple of generations removed from that now obsolete connector and companies are still selling drives at full price. Then I saw this one from SanDisk and I thought my search was over. This is a brand I have trusted for years and the first thing that caught my attention was that it has the now standard USB-C connector as well as the universal USB-A connector. As my cloud backup is only 8GB I chose one of the smallest sizes I could get, based primarily on the fact that I could get it the same day so I can do my back and start using my new phone.DOES IT WORKThis question has to be either yes or no, it either does the job or it doesnât. So as soon as it arrived I plugged it in. Thereâs no need to get into techie specs with something like this, in todayâs world there rarely is such a thing as slow. Another thing we expect in todayâs world is for something to do the job it was purchased for. On one hand, if judged simply as a thumb drive this one is okay â slightly overpriced and slightly cheesy construction. On the other hand they heavily promote this as a simple plug-in backup device for smartphones. What they donât make clear is they donât mean all smartphones. This is clearly intended more for the Android crowd and thatâs the biggest strike against it â if plugged in to a current iphone it does absolutely nothing (in terms of self-running a useful backup app). In the tiniest font possible on the back of the hanger card they tell you, after youâve already bought the product and brought it home, that it may not be compatible will all devices and they give you a website. Unfortunately that link is broken. By now it is clear that this is not what I expected. So I searched their website, which is actually Western Digitalâs website, and deeply buried in there (it took about 10 minutes to unearth it) behind a lot of conflicting information I finally learned that to use with an iphone I have to manually locate the Files folder and drag those to the SanDisk ⦠but not all files are located there, it takes a separate task to locate and save photographs, that still leaves some files that I would like backed up. In their FAQ tools they seem to make it clear that this really isnât a backup drive for an iPhone after all. It sounded too good to be true.YES NO MAYBEIâm splitting my opinion two ways on this. On one hand it is a decent generic flash drive from a company with a good reputation. On the other hand it is basically useless as a plug and play solution to easily backup my Apple phone. Additionally I would like to see a bit more rugged enclosure. The plastic reminds me of the cheap flash drives they give away for free at carnivals and trade shows and does not give me confidence that my data is protected against physical damage. The balance of all that results in a score of three for average, not bad for some uses and not so good for others.

Review: I had a problem in the beginning with my new drive. It appeared to be unformatted. So a CSR talked me through how to format it. However when I plugged it in to my iphone after that it still didnât appear to do anything. I talked to another CSR who said I would need to return it to vendor but he PHONED ME BACK later to say he had done more research and discovered that Apple had recently changed the ios so that something that is typically âplug and playâ would not work that way. He explained how to use it instead. Iâm sure it isnât as easy as it is meant to be but that is an Apple thing not SanDisk. Iâve been using it for weeks now with no problems.
