Set your goals IN MOTION

In 2024, fitness was the most commonly selected New Year’s resolution in the United States according to a Forbes Health/One Poll survey. But the survey found the average New Year’s resolution only lasts between three and four months, with just six percent achieving permanent success. Forming a lasting exercise habit is a challenge shared by many. The Exercise Hack offers a science-based approach for successfully forming a permanent exercise habit. Filled with helpful scientific studies, advice from the trenches, motivational tools and a little humor, The Exercise Hack will help set you in motion toward your fitness goals. Whether you’re starting an exercise habit for improved physical health, mental health, weight loss or a smokin’ hot body (or all of the above), this book will help you hack it to become the best and fittest version of yourself.

Title: The Exercise Hack by Caitlyn Tanner is the book you’ve been waiting for!
Review: The Exercise Hack is refreshingly practical, funny, and relatable. Packed with just the right amount of science-based strategies and real-life anecdotes, it makes forming lasting exercise habits both achievable and enjoyable. Tanner’s engaging writing blends motivational insights with humor, keeping you hooked from start to finish.A key feature is the focus on small, manageable steps. Tanner guides you in creating habits that fit seamlessly into your daily life, whether it’s finding the right exercise or setting realistic goals. The book offers actionable advice tailored to any lifestyle and includes motivational tools to help you stay on track. Tanner delves into the psychology of habit formation, providing tips to overcome common barriers and offering various exercises to suit different preferences. I have read another review indicating no exercise routines included-but I view this as a positive, you want to find what works best for you not what worked best for someone else!I recommend you grab a copy, get motivated, and start your journey to the best shape of your life!

Review: Finally a book about exercise that you can actually use! No crazy science, extreme workouts, yo-yo or fad dieting. No magic pill and even more importantly this brings common sense into movement!! This is a straight forward, witty, understandable way to look at exercise and ways to immediately get moving. Totally worth the read. More humans should use the common sense, realistic approaches to their lifestyle. Well done.

Title: Very motivational
Review: The author starts by explaining how our bodies are not designed to want to exercise. She details our desire for instant gratification and why we get discouraged when we don't see immediate results. There is significant discussion about the mindset needed to motivate ourselves to do what is necessary to get fit and healthy. I was disappointed to see that no specific exercise routines were included in this book.

Title: Practical tips on incorporating exercise
Review: I really enjoyed the writing in this book. It’s engaging, almost conversational, and contained lots of good information. Rather than providing an overwhelming laundry list of things to do, a stepwise practical approach is suggested, which seems a lot easier to incorporate.

Review: All the mental reasons and blocks and how to overcome these so that you will actually form an exercise habit. I know what to do, and I want to be fitter, so why don't I just do it... this book gave me some great insights on what's stopping me and tips to get around these things and hack my brain and habits so exercise happens more often. I'm already seeing the benefit and have gone from barely doing anything to walking 20-25km a week. Thank you for writing this.

Review: The obesity stats alone could scare you enough to get moving and make a change :/ However, this book is more about why we should exercise and why you need to change your mindset to overcome excuses. It doesn't live up to its name of Exercise Hack - the book doesn't cover the authors actual steps or the exercise program they followed to get into shape.
