Title: My new best friend!
Review: Okay I'll say right off, maybe I should get more friends! But as a man who is a self-styled amateur chef, I have been pining for one of these types of cookers for a couple of years now. I always find a way to squeeze in one more item on the countertop.I choose this model based on reviews, features and brand name. I use my Instant Pot pressure cooker on a semi-regular basis and it is also a great cooking appliance, so I trust the brand name, and it doesn't disappoint.I first took the air fryer into the garage and ran it through a couple of cycles before using it in the kitchen. There was clearly some smell as noted elsewhere, likely from manufacturing. By the time I used it "for real" on the 3rd run, barely any smell. And by the next time...no discernable smell at all.My complaints are small, but let me get those out of the way. I wished it preheated up to temp faster. It's advertised in such a way that you think in 60 seconds, you're cooking. In my experience, it's 5+ minutes to get it to 400. Faster than an oven for sure, but not quite the blink of an eye I was hoping for. Second - the beeper is not loud enough. It beeps to tell you it's now at cooking temp, to rotate food or when food is done. For some reason, it seems louder to tell you food is done than it does to tell you the preheating is finished and to add food. You've got to be very close, so you can hear (or see) when it's up to proper temp. Since most foods are specifically timed, if you don't get your food in shortly after it heats up, it will start counting down whether there is food in it or not. Neither of these takes away from the overall 5 stars.I've had it for about 4 weeks and have tried a variety of items. I used the roast feature for skinless salmon. Amazing taste and quick. I found that 10 minutes was perfect for my fish. Others might find mine slightly overcooked, so experiment. It took about 3 tries for my fresh sweet potato fries to come out perfectly. I finally got it right at 20 minutes at 400 in the basket using the air fry function. Evenly cooked and delish.I did homemade coconut shrimp. I can't remember the exact time - it seems like 12 minutes at 380 but I'm going by memory. There are recipes out there to cross-check my memory. Again - used the air fry function.Baked potatoes were the best I've ever made at home. If you like potato skin, check this out. I rubbed them in olive oil, then lightly sprinkled sea salt, black pepper, and a blend of spices that is mostly garlic powder on the outside. These were large potatoes but I guessed and I guessed right - 400 degrees on bake setting for 50 minutes. Perfectly done inside and a nice crispy and tasty skin. You'll have to take a stab at it based on potato size. HUGE potatoes could be up to 60 minutes. Small taters - might be as low as 25 or 30 minutes.Other items I've done are quick prep items. Some frozen and breaded shrimp were perfectly done at 8 minutes at 400. Frozen tater tots same temp at 8-10 minutes. I sprayed a light coating of olive oil and salt on the tator tots. Crispy and delish.Everything so far has been easy and delicious. I have not used all functions - only bake, air fry, and broil so far.If you're on the fence and you like to cook, take the leap!3/5/23 update: still really enjoying my air fryer. I find that it makes fish taste amazing. The dinner shown in the photo is flounder and sides. The flounder was cooked about 7 minutes using the broil function. Rubbed a bit of avocado oil, then used some fresh thyme and lemon pepper seasoning and a touch of garlic spice blend. Squeezed some lemon over the top, and broiled perfectly. I still use it, still enjoy it and continue to recommend it!

Title: Why did I wait so long to get an air fryer?
Review: I simply Love the Instant Pot 10QT Air Fryer with 7-in-1 Functions; it's easy to use, takes so much LESS TIME to cook than my traditional oven, and so far, I've been happy with the food results. I use it to cook frozen foods and to reheat leftovers mostly, and I'm thrilled with it. Highly recommend for these purposes.I used the broil feature to make cinnamon toast, and it turned out wonderful. Just had to use the light and watch it so it didn't burn, which I had to do in a traditional oven also. The only negative about that was the blower blew loose cinnamon powder all around the inside of the Air Fryer, which I had to wipe down well after it cooled. It wasn't hard to clean up, just unexpected, since a traditional oven doesn't blow the food around. I haven't cooked anything other than that, so I can't rate the rotisserie feature.I'm glad there's no digital clock to have to reset when the power gets disrupted; I have enough other clocks in the kitchen. The cooking timer is easy to see so you can tell how much time is left while it's cooking, and it tells you when to turn the food for even cooking. The only thing I wish could be improved is the loudness of the beep. It has very low beep when it's ready to add food, turn food and when done, and I have to be in the room to hear it. Compared to my microwave beep and my traditional oven beep (both of which I can hear from the next room), the Instant Pot Air Fryer beep is far too low and needs to be louder. As far as the counter real estate that it takes up, that is no problem for me. I measured my counter area before purchase, and I tried putting a cardboard box roughly the same size as the appliance on my counter as a test before purchasing so that I could get a good idea how much room it would take up. It's considerably taller than a toaster oven that I once had, but I have enough clearance with the overhead cabinets and the actual Air Fryer works well on my counter.Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and would buy again.

Title: LOVE it so far!
Review: I'm LOVING air frying! Can't believe I waited so long! LOL I chose this one after looking at TONS of reviews & so far it's GREAT! I really wanted the window, & a LOT didn't have one! It's a HUGE Plus if you ask me! No need to keep opening it up to check! HIGHLY recommend that feature if you're looking! So far it's easy to clean, which is a HUGE thing! Like anything, it gets dirty from the splatter!! But, with the trays, it makes it so much easier to just take them & wash em all after! The presets seem pretty spot on too, but it's easy enough to alter as needed too! Boy! Can't tell you how much BETTER wings were in this thing! HOLY SMOKES!! The flavor just SOAKS into them! I will have to now cut the seasoning in half at LEAST cause it was TOO much! LOL I'll take that for sure! But, SOOO much better than I had even thought they could be! I can't wait now to try out more stuff! SO FUN! I did notice a lot of people complained about the smell?!? I didn't find it had a very strong one?! So not sure what the issue was?! I ran it, as they tell you to, before cooking anything in it! I also wiped it down very well before doing anything, so maybe that helped?! But, I LOVE it & would HIGHLY recommend this to everyone! It's a nice size, well made, & I think worth the price! A+ from me! THANKS Much!

Title: Excellent product
Review: What I like most is its size. Fits perfectly under a counter with room to spare. It does everything you would ever want, air fry, bake, broil, toast, dehydrates (although I wasn't 100% happy with this part) after 7 hours was not totally dehydrated. This is great for either a single person or a couple, but I don't think for a family it would be big enough. I rarely turn my oven on now. Everything comes out juicy, chicken, pork chops, fish.

Review: I purchased this for $250 CAD, which was not a sale price but much lower than the price on Instant's website at the time, which was $250 USD.The oven is quite large on the outside, about the size of a typical microwave but taller (roughly 16 inches W x 14" H x 14" D). The manual says you should leave 5 inches of clearance above the unit, which I think should not be ignored since it does throw out quite a bit of heat from the top.I have been very pleased with customer support. I didn't find the rotisserie spit in the box, which could be my own carelessness, not sure. They immediately sent me a replacement, no questions asked. I've been waiting until it arrived to make this review because I was curious to see how the rotisserie function worked.I was able to rotisserie a 1.5 kg chicken with no issues, and the result was incredible. Cleanup is a bit annoying since it can be hard to wipe down some of the inside parts near the elements. Overall very impressed. Other functions also work very well. The biggest concerns are 1) it always spends the same ~5 minutes preheating when you start it up, and you will have to re-"start it up" if you want to change any of the settings, such as temperature, cooking time, or function, after you started it initially. This makes it hard if you're working with a vague recipe with an uncertain amount of time. 2) the toast function releases a little bit of smoke when you open it up, which can be alarming.Very happy with my purchase. It has replaced my regular oven for most things. I would note that while a 12" pizza will just barely fit inside, a pizza stone for that size will just barely not fit.
