Therefore, differences in moisture level from one bread to another can result in varying toasting times. For slightly dry bread, use a lower setting than you normally would. For very fresh bread or whole wheat bread, use a higher setting than normal. Breads with very uneven surfaces (such as English muffins) will require a higher toast setting. Thickly cut pieces of bread (including bagels) will take longer to toast, sometimes significantly longer, since more moisture must be evaporated from the bread before toasting can occur. Very thick pieces may require two cycles. Cleaning and Maintenance Always allow the toaster to cool completely before cleaning. Do not use abrasive cleansers. Simply wipe the exterior with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Apply any cleansing agent to a cloth, not to the toaster, before cleaning. To remove crumbs, slide out the crumb tray and discard crumbs. Wipe clean and replace. Never operate the toaster without the crumb tray in place. To remove any pieces of bread remaining in the toaster, turn the toaster upside down and gently shake. Never insert any hard or sharp instruments into the slot, as this could damage the toaster and cause a safety hazard. Never wrap the cord around the outside of the toaster. Title: Very nice toaster
Review: The toaster has that vintage, retro look. The toaster is consistent with regards to toast shade. The extra features probably won't be used by me but may come in handy for those who want to toast frozen waffles and pancakes. The extra wide slots allow for bagels and thick bread slices but does not accommodate tall slices. The toaster is a little large but still stores well in a drawer. The power cord wraps up under the toaster for storage and can allow the right amount of cord reach to the power outlet. Cleans up easily.

Title: What a great toaster!
Review: Already have used it three times and it has toasted bread, English muffins, and waffles to your perfection. This toaster is solidly built love the stainless steel, classic look, and being that it’s not digital is key, because they tend to fail out after a couple years.Toaster is slightly larger than your typical four slotted toaster. So make sure that you have room for this if you’re stowing it away in a cabinet. The size does matter if you have a small kitchen. Some mainly put it on the countertop where others put it away. Luckily, we have the room, but I had to move and shift some things around the cabinet in order to stow it away properly.Heats up quick, does a phenomenal job. We have a few of the Cuisinart Brands. Some have been wonderful, and some not that great….As of now, it’s a hit. Paddles are solid, locks down easily when dropping the bread in the slots without shoving it down to make sure your items are toasted evenly. Lots of room for Texas toast and browns easily without having to hit the cycle twice. If you set it properly, it will toast it right one time.,,Not much more else to say. Great value! Good Luck!

Title: Hopefully it lasts
Review: This is our third toaster in the past few months. We had a breville for about 15 years when it began to struggle. We then bought a 4 slice, 2 opening oster toaster that never worked that well to begin with; inconsistent toasting, bagel feature non working. So we bought this. It has worked fairly well so far. The look is nice, however, it feels cheaply made with light weight feeling knobs and dials. While I don't necessarily care about things other than will this toast bread and a bagel, the construction leaves me a bit leery on the longevity of this.I leave the toast setting to about 5 on the dials -- this seems to have decent results. I don't want to be too negative on this as it is working fine, however, based on my last toaster experience and some of the inconsistent reviews with this and frankly all toasters, I am only cautiously optimistic.Seems like buying a premium toaster is very difficult these days. This is strange as all you are doing is toasting bread through hot wires. Lastly, after plugging it in I "ran it" empty a few times to burn off electrical smell manufacturing residue. Works without smell after that.

Title: GREAT TO LEAVE ON THE KITCHEN COUNTER
Review: I’m someone who buys brands that I’ve been satisfied with in the past. Cuisinart is one of those brands! My Mom had a Cuisinart food processer that she used almost daily for over 15 years. I’ve had many great experiences with other Cuisinart products. Our recent purchase of this 4 slice toaster has not been a disappointment. It’s sleek design and size make it perfect for leaving out on the kitchen counter! The heating ranges are pretty accurate, from very lightly toasted to intensly browned. Each side has separate controls and also buttons to choose for bagel, frozen, warm+. The cost was good and we’re enjoying the end results!

Review: I like the toasting ability of this toaster. However, The adjusting knob for the amount of toasting moves too easily. If it is accidentally bumped, it moves, and if you don't realize you bumped it, the toast will be too light or too dark. Also, the bread slices are sometimes a little thicker today so the slots are just a little narrow for the new thicker slices of bread.

Review: We're really happy with how this toast slices evenly -- and it's super fast! Toast settings depend on the amount of sugars in what you're toasting (middle setting for regular bread slices, less for bagels, a bit more for English muffins, etc.), but really easy quickly find what setting works best.Left side setting differs from right side, but always consistent results for each individual side (in our case, middle setting to do regular toast on the right side, and a a little lower on the left for the same thing -- but always very consistent each time). Very good price, quick delivery, works great and looks great on the counter!

Review: I was a bit in the fence about buying this toaster at first. My family does eat a lot of bread and with a full house, a 2 slice toaster at some point no longer works. I like Cuisinart and have a few kitchen items at home that we use on a frequent basis which led me to purchase this 4 slice toaster. The retro old school look was a definite plus and a nice addition to our kitchen. It's so convenient for starters and the ability to put bagels is such a game changer. The defrost button works beautifully and toasts the bread nice and evenly. The lever is so soft to press and you don't need to force and apply any pressure. The brush stainless steel is such a nice look. It's nostalgic to say the least and I kinda enjoy seeing and having Companies invest in these timeless classics.
